Do you honestly have it as a belief in yourself?

I can see this. Also, it's meh at the moment. Trying to get work done and everyone else is giving you the run around sucks tbh.

@Thor, yes. I believe everyone is stupid not to fear either my derpage or my really good play. I don't really have a middle ground so I suppose everyone is afraid of me. Both town and scum have reason to fear me. Although which side fears me depends on how accurate my reads are which is why I need some people to actually post more than blanket statements or link me to a post I've missed. I'm juggling moving into a house, running my own business and flying out for a wedding. I don't have as much time to give as I'd like to the game but the host was desperate for a replacement.

@EddieFenix, what can you see? how do you feel you're "getting the run around"? I haven't really seen much of you here.

VOTE: SKOT

Had gut suspicions from yesterday, still continuing into today. Still don't feel like SKOT has contributed anything to the game except lots of empty posts. Luckily my gut seems to match up with other heads reads, and Jingle is way better at making a case. Decided we went too long without a vote out there.

Why do you feel there's a set time before you lay a vote down? This seems really preemptively defensive.

I was answering Thor's question of how I was feeling and I figure I would be openly honest. I can see that he's voting Mala. Plus, my getting the run around pertains to my IRL situation with my college. It's quite annoying and has me feeling, very meh. Also, the reason you don't see me much is because I normally focus on my college during the college season(s), and I come here in my off time to partner up (and sometimes go solo) with Bulba to have some fun in the summer. I almost tagged my ending with my usual hydra signature seeing as I've been so used to doing that in my posts

I made a mistake yesterday, I will not make the same mistake again. Occam commands me, VOTE: Xayzeck.

Also acceptable lynches would be titus or zzzx, though I have an unfortunate history of scumreading titus when she's town so I'm a bit more leery of that one.

In other news though anyone still scumreading necro should be shot to increase the intelligence of the gene pool. And thor is probably town.

White knight Necro much mayhaps? Why does Occam command Xayxeck?

There are a lot of words here but just conclusions.

I am beginning to think maybe there's something wrong with communication. I sm seeing a shitton of buzzwords but little analysis.

My biggest townreads are Mala and Thor, and I have no idea how to reach Mala here. I could just saysomething illogical to cause drama but I would rather not.

Necro doesn't need white knighting, trust me.

TSO was pushing Xayzeck with me all day, then he followed me off him, then he died. Simplest explanation as to why he died is that xayzeck is scum, not to mention existing information that points in that direction.

This is wifom at best. What if TSO was a threat to another player AND scum could get a mislynch on Xay?

What other information points towards Xay being scum? I just saw a lot of bickering the first few days.

Why doesn't necro need whiteknighting? If he fears me because I'm onto Doublade being his scumbuddy, then Necro would need whiteknighting.

If Necro fears me because I'm town having the game wrong, Necro needs whiteknighting as well to prevent his mislynch and to have Necro encourage more mislynches.

Whiteknighting, generally, is not as "cacluated" as you intend it to be. Rather, it is a bunch of blanket statements that whip people into a frenzy of Player X being town or scum. Such allegations make it easier or harder to lynch a player in the future because they mess with the subsconscious.

@Titus
- Necro is pushing . You are saying "No, . ." Is that whiteknighting on your part, or is it more akin to coaching an unresponsive teammate?

Sorry about the lateness of this, I won a friend 500 dollars at a craps table last night and he got me drunk as a thank you. Posting completely slipped my mind.

The plan had a couple of different levels, but the first is purely math. Optimal scumplay with even or close to even numbers is to shoot using whichever polarity has more scum. This leads me to the belief that the scumteam had more dark players than light players. This is exploitable and gives more information for analysis.

Alternatively, with an uneven distribution of polarities, the correct play for scum is full of WIFOM, as there is no reason for anyone to stay at their current polarity, and there is no reason for anyone to either stay with their current polarity or change. The slight increase (it's now a 50%) in chance for a protect is not worth the lost information, especially since the amount of information gained increases proportionally to how much higher the odds of the NK working are.

On night 1 there were 2 choices for each player: Initial Polarity and Change. The odds of two players having the same initial polarity are .5. The odds of two players having the same polarity after changing are
still
.5. There is no reason not to have attempted to gain information last night.

The second level to the plan is that scum would naturally attempt to derail the plan. I expected this to manifest in the form of scum changing polarities. To them, they cannot afford the chance that my plan would be breaking, and as such would need to stop it from being successful. SKOT did more than just that.
In post 1678, Sharpest-knife-on-tree wrote:No, I said I am not going to let scum know what I am going to do. People will choose to do what they think is best based on there role or being ignorant of it. It has nothing to do with whether I change my polarity or not, there are others who will not. And what possible benefit is there? Maybe a polarity cop? There is no substance to your plan and thinking you can pick one person to "switch" and try and lock them is fool hardy as it tells scum something they wouldn't know right off the bat.
This is exactly the kind of post I would expect from scum attempting to derail a plan that might screw them. Here he is dismissing the plan outright and telling everyone that it will not work. He's attempting to stop the plan from even having a chance, by suggesting that town will not even attempt to use it.
THERE IS NO TOWN MOTIVATION BEHIND NOT EVEN ATTEMPTING TO USE THE PLAN.

Going forward, each day we should claim whether we changed polarities. At some point, we will want to massclaim polarities. That will let us work backwards to figure out who could have killed on which nights, giving us additional information to analyze. We should not claim what polarity we currently are, ever, because they are included in the flips.
Claiming your polarity before massclaim is antitown.
Scum cannot afford to lie about whether they changed polarities in case they get caught.

I'll post a case on SKOT after I get off work.

I actually like this plan.

@Titus - as regards the jon post. Those posts are not exactly random, go read them in context. I'm not sure if I agree it's a scum case, but...there are a few potential options for the line of thought.

some vague plan of everyone agreeing to not change polarity. Which they clearly did not have signed off on as we went from neutral to light and only light have died. Meanwhile, we have a light death. What I have said, was there is no way you can verify, no way you can get folks to sign off on it. It would not be successful. Calling out a plan for being screwy and ill defined is not scummy by any stretch. What good does it do. You add in things like locked players and other elements that we do not know and it is simply silly. Also trying to get folks to commit to what they may or may not do actually gives scum a greater chance of guessing what to do or where they need to be to carry off kills/moves.

Now I do not think I have problem with everyone declaring what they did regarding polarity. Alltough it may help scum narrow further what need to be. All we now is where things currently stand but not by how many. We are light, we don't know if we had a shift to light by 1 or 50. I have a problem with expecting a commitment one direction or another.
