Yeah, the point grabbers seemed very similar to LotA Outsiders though, but different enough to be cool again.
And yeah, there was a reason I shot DDDD D5 . So, at least I was figuring the scum, just too late
I didn't change my shot, did I Zora? I might have and can't take credit anymore :V."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

we actually started from the outsiders, but I think the competition aspect added a lot to that concept.
One of the issues I had with the outsiders was that the number of points needed wasn't relative to the game itself. Games are dynamic things (and in a game like this, especially so), but by adding a competition element instead but keeping the power to earn points similar, it scaled itself.
By the way, had the executive just used its governor power, they would have won.Last edited by zoraster on Sat May 29, 2010 11:31 am, edited 1 time in total..- UncertainKitten

That assumes Zorblag found the other others, since massclaim may not have occured. But at this point we are changing so many things that it's a whole different game."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

3way Other tie ftl? *sadface*
I wouldn't say that this is entirely accurate. We didn't know that Zorblag got multiple shots. With 3 of 6 outted Government types, it would take 3 Days before we were all gone and that still left 2 unknowns. And with 1 of each faction comparing notes openly, we were able to figure out that DGB was nonTown at best. What ruined this game is that the others had all the power to help the town as they moved towards their wincon, but they all just volunteered to get mowed down.
GG all.- UncertainKitten

Honestly, I should have shot Gamma N1. As a "town vig" with NK Immunity, I should have seen what would happen, and would have gotten him in my neighborhood, which in turn would have meant I could get him lynched by claiming vig neighborizer with one shot bulletproof. At that point I'd add other miller to my claim, and probably be all outraged about it.
Man, that'd have been AWESOME."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

haha by the by, if anyone wants complicated, look at the spreadsheet on the first day. Trying to figure out who shot who and when and stuff with a redirector was pretty tricky.
If you're interested, the order of actions was:
0. Redirector (if not targeted by a role blocker)
1. Roleblocks
a. Legislature Roleblocker
b. Jail Keeper Roleblock
3. Protection
a. Judiciary Persistent Doctor
b. Jail Keeper protect
c. Bodyguard
3. SK Kill
4. Mafia Kill
5. Neighborizers (SK and Town)
6. All Investigations (Simultaneous): Role cop, transmitting weak roles, trackers, motive cop
7. Backups Step Up.- Gammagooey

In the case of the governor power, it was just that they needed to use the power, period, or lose 3 pointsGammagooey wrote:hey zoraster was it even possible for them to use it day 1 considering the modkill? I don't really think that should count against them if you took a point away for them not using it that day.
But yes, the modkill made things more difficult for them since their power revolved around lynches..- UncertainKitten

Reading it, since it says I had to be intentionally killed, it wouldn't have worked the way I thought if you were REALLY a PGO. But still would have been the greatest fakeclaim Setup I ever did :V."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Nomination! http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopi ... 36#2293636
I was thoroughly impressed by the TEAMWORK of the mafia team in this game. It's true that I think the scum would have won this even if they hadn't been so good, but that shouldn't make their accomplishment any less impressive.
Feel free to second, third, whatever or add other nominations of your own devising..- UncertainKitten

Yep, that was really fucking stupid DGB. Seriously? You think I was SK because I said "night vig", when I would have said that NO MATTER WHAT ALIGNMENT I HAD if I had a kill like that."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

The PGO claim was very good...scum with no daytalk would never go for that. Easy to forget how much more conniving scum are when they can plot constantly.- UncertainKitten

This was a fun setup to help create and watch come through fruition. Zor isn't kidding about the raw amount of butting heads we did (especially with the others) before we settled on what we got.
I'd totally help run this again - the raw magnitude of meta early on made me gag, but past that it was awesome.
A few things I kinda knew were going to happen that were going to screw the town (and did):
1.) The massclaim simply being "here is a list of targets for Zorblag to kill to win the game". Which it was.
2.) A scumteam that opted to be scum would coordinate better. Which they did. In spades. DGB was a force of amazingitude.
#1 I knew would happen although I really, really was surprised there wasn't more of an "wait, with what we know maybe a massclaim will cause issues".- StrangerCoug

Oh, since people in the dead quicktopic seemed confused about it.
Personally I chose mafia because I thought there would be a whole lot of Others (yep) that would be easy distractions and it would be easy to "scumhunt" and get them lynched instead of whoever actually chose mafia since they would be pretty decent at it.- UncertainKitten

@zor: Not nom worthy. It's clever, but it's not creative. I only really would consider best fakeclaim for a CREATIVE, clever fakeclaim.
But I'm apparently in the minority on that.
I did screw up by not claiming SK with charter, but I was actually pretty sure he was scum pushing that last mislynch. Unfortunately, I was only half right. When I saw the tide going against charter I should have claimed because it was "too easy""Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Oh, zora: Theoretically if you didn't want alignment changes, you could have set it up so I could only convert others. And possibly have them be protected from my kills, so it would be a situation where Zorb and I were competing for targetting the others for different purposes. He could shoot all of them at once, but I could recruit one at a time.
Might have been cool."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

UK-I think he meant for best scumteam planning/organizing/watever since we (mostly DGB) planned it out together, it definitely isn't a best roleclaim. As a sidenote though, not a single one of us actually used our exact safeclaim (*Information: You know that the following flavor names are not in this game: <President >, <Guantanamo Bay Officer>, <CIA Agent>, <Navy Commandant>. You can come up with a fifth one yourself. ),
The only one that was even close was the miller CIA agent thing Chrono used. - Gammagooey
