Then fine.
But don’t think of it as an instantly scummy post.
You can say “I don’t like that”
But vote me because of a simple thought process isn’t right.

Huh?
But you didn’t even play if it’s scummy or not.
And WDYM Merit a Vote?
I haven’t voted anyone.
Are you saying that for someone not liking a thought I had and voting me is a good thing?
Maybe to get a clear read on me or get reaction sure.
But to scum read someone for it isn’t right, and you even said it’s early game and low content.
So you just straight out put a vote on me?
Seems to me like your just being opportunistic.

I think TSE knows how mafia works to not make these posts as non-jester. It's such a stupid issue to focus on that draws attention to yourself.

Specifically refutes a point that suggests they're the Black Flag.

I need AF to answer my question.

Seems he's resigned himself to being lynched with the "No one hammer me before AF comes on." Has no fight in him, doesn't want to actually survive.
Also, I have new flag for jester hunting, do you guys like it?
Ok petition we ignore TSE because even though I've been in the game for like 3 days I can already smell he's black flag, too much attention to himself. Unless he's an absolutely bonkers white flag but either way there's no rush to lynch him.

I mean, scum got a lesson why replace outs break games and should not be a part of site culture.

i dont think anyone likes replace outs but its a necessary evil since the alternative is modkill /shrug
Posted: Tue Mar 17, 2020 1:38 pm
by Eddie Cane
the alternative is not having a site culture that has people flake or sub out from games for any other reason*.
*excluding game integrity stuff, mainly mod errors.

People play the prod deadlines to their advantage.

Well yea, I don't think that is a problem. Bad play, sure. I haven't been prodded since I started playing here. But subs actually ruin games, they skew balance way towards town. Random postgame thread rants ftw!

yeah from personal experience as scum there is nothing i hate more than having to deal with replace outs that swing the tide of the game, putting effort into a game and tailoring your message only for one person to swing in later and sabotage things
but like i can't really conceive of a solution to this issue really

punishment for excessive replaceouts basically

Site culture shift + punishing chronic subbing, yes. I don't think the deadline length helps, but MU has subs too (albeit less I think).

MU average day phase is like 72hrs and they monitor replace-outs ya

i really just think shorter deadlines would solve a majority of issues
add in like a temporary signup restriction after replacing out, (like you can't signup for games for a week after a sub out due to self wim) and you probably have removed a majority of replacements
but also ms.net's sticking point is longer deadlines and longer deadlines means more opportunities to sub out due to rl and in game reasons
