Persivul I really do not understand how you wanted to lynch me because Tanner got killed n4 and then you wanted to lynch Una in lylo. Why did you think he's bring you to lylo.

I think it's in the thread, but to recap:
- I individually town read george
- I individually scum read una
- Thinking 3 scum as everyone was, the possibilities were therefore you/una or puppy/una
- Reading puppy's ISO, puppy/una was impossible

IIRC you argued that puppy was just distancing from una. You can now see that wasn't the case.

So, yeah, we were playing against both scum and the mod. I'm not a fan of that.
I know but things like those that were here need to be in games, sometimes.

No, they don't. Ever.

Yes, they do. To ensure that people don`t say "X is automatically scum because this role doesnt belong to town" when it is a town-allowed role, or similar things.

Well, except the Miller/Miller/IC combination, that one was not one of my brightest ideas.

It wasn't town aligned... it was mod aligned... it was designed SOLELY to be bullshit.

A game should be well designed so that the only thing to consider is what goes on within the game. Having to second guess the mod, at ANY stage, means the game is complete bullshit from the set-up.

That role was not needed, it did not benefit the game in the slightest, it didn't even come into the game (had it just been a VT, nothing would had changed in the game), it did not benefit this game at all.

The two millers were stupid just by themselves. Having 2 scum meant town were on a wild goose chase for a portion of the game, and the first couple of days were wasted as far as how things went.

It was a mess, town was a mess, scum survived due to being flakier than a certain cadbury's chocolate (Puppy was the shining beacon from that side, and deserved the win).

As a whole, this game was a shower of shite, from the set up to the player base (yes, this includes myself).

Why the ascetic whatever it was?
A trap, for the person having it because claiming Ascetic is ok but claiming Encryptor is a death wish(and you don`t need to claim Encryptor if you are an Ascetic)
I think this is where the set up fails.

It’s effectively a normal game you made into a puzzle, and for a puzzle to be understood, you need to have a source of information.

Frankly, I’m not upset but genuinely see where Pers is coming from.

The set up never favoured a town win. For instance, two millers forced the cop to investigate one and rendered the rest of the game a mind fuck. Having two millers in the first place makes it a borderline bastard.

Not having a go at you, but just calling out the issues.

The game set up is one of those ‘sounds great when discussed by mods’ but never had any reality check of ‘how will this be to play?’

Just my thoughts.

I'm okay with the setup because it is something I would do as a mod too. RP didn't get lynched because of their claim. They were going to get lynched anyway.
It's a mindfuck but not imbalanced.

^This. I've only been joining them lately because they fill faster, but after this one, it's just not worth my time.

Most of the player base have called it a bad set-up, and pointed out part of the game was working out what the hell the mod was doing with it, rather than working out who the scum are...

At best it was a bastard game.

Yes. I started a thread in MD proposing that named townies not be allowed in normals.

Normal is defined for this site, and you were within those definitions, but consider normal usage of "normal." If you were describing mafia roles to someone new to the game, wouldn't you say that town encryptor normally implies the existence of a neighborizer? Or miller normally implies the existence of a cop? I would.

Or look at it this way - this game has led more than one person to say they're done with the normal queue. That should tell you something.

Also consider that mini theme currently and frequently says "needs mods." If you want to fuck with the town, you could always take the game there.

I hope, to absolute fuck, that your next actual mini normal is normal.

10 town, 3 scum, all vanilla.
Or pick one of the newbie formats to use.
Or just use watcher and tracker instead of a cop, and a jailkeeper instead of a doc or something.

But games like this one? Please don't ever run a game like this ever again. Normal should be relatively predictable and... normal. Not totally bastard and unpredictable.

Yes, that's pretty much it. If you want to try to trap town etc., just take it to theme.
