I do seriously consider that dry-fit might be the double-voter. Unfortunately, after reading the double-voter analysis, including my own, I'm coming back to the conclusion that it's nigh-impossible to figure out which scum is the double-voter, except for the Sir B=double-voter, BC= town combo that I noted was highly unlikely earlier. Dry-fit's been pretty inactive, but he'd still have plenty of time to pop in and lay down a double-vote on any of the days it was used, and so would BC. My main point with the analysis of yesterday is that
BC wasn't hammered by the DV even though scum had a decent window of time to hammer him in.
I posted earlier on why there was
no
reason for scum to prefer a Slandaar lynch to a BC-town one. This makes me think BC is scum.

I have never played with Slandaar before, and obviously my jumping on him like that was a major eff-up.

Like I said at the very beginning of today, I'm pretty much forced to put all my imaginary money on a BC/Dry-fit scum team. I'm more than a little worried that Sir B is BC's partner, and that's why he wants a non-BC lynch so bad, but as of right now I think I'm going to still go with the BC/Dry-fit scum theory. I wanted BC lynched today rather than dry-fit for two reasons:

1. I still think yesterday really, really points to him being scum.
2. From my perspective, the only viable scumteam possibilities are BC/Dry-fit, and BC/Sir B. BC is scum in either possibility.

There's no double-vote on Dry-fit. He's scum, unless you're still acting. Now do you see why I'm so suspicious of BC living yesterday?

Lets make this clear the issue at heart here is not that you are suspicous of BC, it's that you have not acted on your suspicion of dry-fit all game despite you saying you are suspect of him numerous times.

And as I said earlier we have no idea of when the DV is applied or how it is.

As the conflict had dragged on, the British forces had become more and more used to the kind of terrain they were encountering, nullifying the advantage the rebels had enjoyed at the beginning of the war. For this, they were greatly indebted to their Native American allies, especially those of the
Mohawk
Nation, who provided guides and trackers to help the Royal Expeditionary Force move throughout the varied landscapes of North America.

When historians looked back at the failure of the American revolt, many key moments were identified, but two things which occurred in late 1782 became seen as the final nail in the coffin of the revolutionaries. In the European theater, the Kingdom of Great Britain gained enough of an upper hand to force France to go back on its promise never to make a peace which did not contain recognition of American Independence as a central provision, effectively allowing the British a free hand to deal with their colonies as they saw fit in exchange for a cessation of hostilities at home. At the same time, in the colony of
Virginia,
British skirmishers, given a free rein by their general
Sir William Howe
won repeated victories over the local
Militia
, tipping the balance of power toward the Redcoats.

While the revolutionaries were still strong in certain areas, notably Western Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, it became obvious that the Royalists would not be defeated any time soon. With their trade links to Europe cut off by the Royal Navy blockade, and numerous volunteers defecting to the Crown every week, the Continental Army leadership decided to negotiate.

The British Parliamentary leadership, hoping to avoid a recurrence of the revolt several years later, agreed to make some concessions to the colonists, though they fell far short of meeting the demands which had precipitated the Revolution. However, over the following decades, Parliament sensibly granted gradually increased autonomy to the Thirteen Colonies, until they remained part of the Kingdom in name only. Several revolutionary leaders were tried for treason, but
after massive amounts of lobbying by his ministers and with extreme reluctance
spontaneously and with great magnanimity
His Majesty the King agreed to commute their death sentences to confiscation of property and relatively short jail sentences.

And what of the Native tribes who had contributed so hugely to the King's victory? The Crown never forgot its debt to these people, and the Treaty of London, signed in early 1783, which ended the war granted large swathes of land to those peoples which had remained loyal, an agreement to which, to the annoyance of many settlers, the British authorities largely adhered.

Roles, night actions etc to come soon. Thanks for playing and again my profuse apologies for my mod error which probably cost the town a fair shot at winning this game. The problem was that literally within a minute of seeing the erroneous votecount, BloodCovenent applied the secret vote and his own basically at the same time, which he wouldn't have done had the VC not stated Slandaar was within hammering range. I couldn't exactly go 'Sorry mate, now you've outed yourself as scum, I have to undo it and confirm the townie you thought in good faith you were hammering.' Scum Role PMs:

The year is 1775.

You are
General William Howe,
Commander of the Royal Expeditionary Force
(Doublevoting Godfather).

A veteran of several campaigns including the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Year's War, His Majesty the King has graciously granted you the opportunity to command his magnificent Royal Expeditionary Force in crushing the traitors and rebels in North America and restoring Royal Power over the ungrateful wretches. You lead a force which also includes _________ (Charles Cornwallis, goon) ______________ (Wilhelm von Knyphausen, goon) and ___________ (Joseph Brant, Indian Tracker). You may communicate with your subordinates at night or during pre-game here: _________________. Each night, you may select one of your number to perform a nightkill: this must be delivered
BY PM,
and if the sender of the PM is different to the player assigned to perform the kill, this must also be made clear.

Your military experience has taught you several useful tactics for putting down the rebellion. To represent this, every time a rebel player is lynched, you will have a secret extra vote the following day. This vote will not affect the threshold required to lynch. It can be deployed at any point during the day by PMing me, but cannot be changed once assigned (in effect, it makes the target a hated townie for that day only). You will not receive your secret vote on any day in which the number of rebels does not exceed the number of REF members by two or more at the start of the day (ie, no secret vote at lylo or milo).

You win when all rebels have been eliminated, or nothing can prevent the same.

________________________________________________________________ ____
The year is 1775.

You are
Lieutenant General Charles Cornwallis,
Officer of the Royal Expeditionary Force
(Mafia Goon).

A member of the British Army hierarchy, while you were a member of the House of Commons, you had shown considerable sympathy with the complaints of the American colonists. However, having been assigned to crush the rebellion by His Majesty, it is your duty to do so with no mercy. You have been assigned to the Royal Expeditionary Force alongside your commander _______________ (General William Howe, Doublevoting Godfather) ____________ (Wilhelm von Knyphausen, Goon) and ____________ (Joseph Brant, Indian Tracker). You may communicate with your comrades at night or during pre-game here: _________________. Each night, you may select one of your number to perform a nightkill: this must be delivered

________________________________________________________________ ____
The year is 1775.

You are
Lieutenant General Wilhelm von Knyhausen,
Hessian Mercenary for the Royal Expeditionary Force
(Mafia Goon).

A cautious general, sensitive to the needs of his troops, you lead a cohort of German mercenaries who make up a significant part of the British military presence in North America. You have been hired to fight on behalf of the Royal Expeditionary Force alongside your commander _______________ (General William Howe, Doublevoting Godfather) ____________ (Charles Cornwallis, Goon) and ____________ (Joseph Brant, Indian Tracker). You may communicate with your comrades at night or during pre-game here: _________________. Each night, you may select one of your number to perform a nightkill: this must be delivered

________________________________________________________________ ____

The year is 1775.

You are
Joseph Brant,
Indian Tracker and ally of the Royal Expeditionary Force
(Mafia Tracker).

You are a leader of the Mohawk nation, and your people have decided to ally with the crown in exchange for grants of land in Quebec. Your people are hardy outdoorsmen, and you are able to use your familiarity with the terrain in order to pursue members of the Continental Army during the night without being noticed.

Each night, you may submit by PM the name of one other living player. You will track that player, and be informed of whether or not he performs a night action, and if so upon whom.

You have cast your lot in with the Royal Expeditionary Force, consisting of your commander _______________ (General William Howe, Doublevoting Godfather) ____________ (Charles Cornwallis, Goon) and ____________ (Wilhelm von Knyphausen, Goon). You may communicate with your comrades at night or during pre-game here: _________________. Each night, you may select one of your number to perform a nightkill: this must be delivered

If there had been a scum neighbor, Knyphausen would not have been in the game, and this PM would have been used instead:

___________________________________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are an
American Loyalist and member of the Royal Expeditionary Force
(Mafia Neighbor).

An inhabitant of the colony of New York, you are one of the many colonists in North America who still feels strong ties to the motherland, and feels that rebellion against her is treasonous, no matter how great the provocation. You have signed up to the Continental army in order to spy on it, and as luck would have it, your neighbor ___________ has joined up too! At night, you may communicate with him in this quicktopic: ______________.

You have been volunteered to fight on behalf of the Royal Expeditionary Force alongside your commander _______________ (General William Howe, Doublevoting Godfather) ____________ (Charles Cornwallis, Goon) and ____________ (Joseph Brant, Indian Tracker). You may communicate with your comrades at night or during pre-game here: _________________. Each night, you may select one of your number to perform a nightkill: this must be delivered
BY PM,
and if the sender of the PM is different to the player assigned to perform the kill, this must also be made clear.

You win when all rebels have been eliminated, or nothing can prevent the same.

Here's the town role PMs.
________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are an ordinary
Member of the Continental Army,
(Vanilla Townie)
, a militiaman from the colony of Connecticut. Having been outraged by the unfairness of taxation without representation, and filled with patriotic fervor, you have enlisted in the colonial forces, that you might fight to defend the liberty and secure the independence of your homeland.

You desire the defeat of the Royal Expeditionary Force, but have only your vote, your voice, and your burning sense of national pride to assist you in this endeavor.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

(Neighbor)
, a militiaman from the colony of New York. Having been outraged by the unfairness of taxation without representation, and filled with patriotic fervor, you have enlisted in the colonial forces, along with your neighbor, ____________. At night, you may communicate with him in this quicktopic: ______________.

You desire the defeat of the Royal Expeditionary Force, but aside from your relationship with your neighbor, have no special abilities to use to defeat the British.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
General George Washington,
Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army
(Friendly Neighbor).

The second Continental Congress has granted you the honor of commanding the Patriotic forces for the upcoming campaign. In order to secure the defeat of the Royal Expeditionary Force, you will be able to choose a trusted lieutenant. Once during the game, at night, you may send me the name of another living player. You will invite that player to come to your tent in order to interview him to assure yourself of his loyalty to the American cause. At the end of that night, you will be informed of whether that player is a Patriot or loyal to the Crown, and he will be informed of your identity and affiliation. Should you determine your target to be a reliable supporter of the revolution, the two of you will be permitted to discuss in a quicktopic on subsequent night.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.
________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
Paul Revere,
Patriotic Nightrider
(One-Shot Double Doctor).

You are a professional silversmith, proud patriot, and excellent horseman. You are able to use your riding skills to warn your fellow revolutionaries about the approach of the British forces. Once only, during the day, you may PM me with a list of two names. That night, you will ride to these individuals' homes and warn them that "The Regulars are coming out!" which will allow them to escape to safety - no attempt on their life will be successful that night. You may alter your protection targets as many times as you wish during the day by PM, but you may not change your choices once a lynch has been achieved.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

The year is 1775.

You are
White Eyes,
Indian Tracker and Ally of the Continental Army
(Tracker).

You are a leader of the Lenape nation, and your people have decided to throw in their lot with the revolutionaries in order to attempt to ensure a secure homeland. Your people are hardy outdoorsmen, and you are able to use your familiarity with the terrain in order to pursue members of the Royal Expeditionary Force during the night without being noticed.

Each night, you may submit by PM the name of one other living player. You will track that player, and be informed of whether or not he performs a night action, and if so upon whom.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
He Who Takes Up the Snow Shoe,
Indian Tracker and Ally of the Continental Army
(Tracker).

You are a warrior of the Oneida nation, and your people, having good relations with the settlers, have decided to fight alongside them in the battle for their freedom.

You are
Benedict Arnold,
Continental Army Turncoat
(Beloved Princess).

You are a proud patriot who has spent vast amounts of his own money, and shown numerous acts of valor, in the service of the Continental army. However, despite your successes, you will be repeatedly passed over for promotion and the subject of repeated smears relating to your personal conduct.

You desire the defeat of the Royal Expeditionary Force, however your loyalty can only be pushed so far. Should the other members of the Continental Army turn on you (if you are lynched during the day) you will instead defect to the British, handing over crucial American battle plans which will allow the Royal Expeditionary Force to outmaneuver the colonials. The in-game effect of this will be to cause two consecutive nights to follow your lynch before the next day phase begins. This does not affect your win condition - you as a player will win with the town, even if your character has gone over to the Crown.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.
________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
Betsy Ross,
Patriot
(Townie).

The wife of a member of the colonial militia, you are skilled in upholstery and have chosen to support the war effort by repairing uniforms and makings tents for the use of the Continental Army. Later on, you will also play a part in making the first flags of the United States which will go down in history. For now, however, all you have to assist you in furthering the revolutionary cause is your vote, your voice, and your burning sense of national pride.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.
________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
John Hancock,
Patriot
(Townie).

One of the richest men in the thirteen colonies, you have used your considerable wealth to support your fellow colonists against the crown. You are one of the leading patriotic voices in Massachusetts, and have been chosen to preside over the second Continental Congress. You will go down in history as one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence. For now, however, all you have to assist you in furthering the revolutionary cause is your vote, your voice, and your burning sense of national pride.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

________________________________________________________________
The year is 1775.

You are
John Adams,
Patriot
(Townie).

A prominent lawyer from New England, you are a champion of republicanism and individual liberty, and a key player in articulating the rhetorical case for the revolution. Should the colonists succeed in their revolt, you will no doubt play a significant role in the governance of the new nation. For now, however, all you have to assist you in furthering the revolutionary cause is your vote, your voice, and your burning sense of national pride.

You win when all members of the Royal Expeditionary Force have been defeated, provided at least one Patriot survives.

Don't worry about it. I was so convinced Tammy was town that I would have voted Dry-fit over her in the 3-person Lylo that would have eventually resulted had BC been lynched that day, since judging from the suspicions today, she would have killed Sir B at night rather than me. So we would have lost either way. :(

Yeah, SSBF/Tammy continued going to MOI because they knew there were town trackers around.

In general, though, if a 'power role' is outed on DAY TWO, and is still alive Day Eight when the only protective role died night one... especially if that 'Power role' is the only thing preventing scum from offing confirmed townies... yeeeeeeeeeeeah.
