Also I know I get lazy as a mod sometimes but when I announce night I SHOULD give not only the countdown timer but the actual date, e.g. Friday, June 7th, @ 2:45 am.

Copying my Large Theme game rules, that's actually the proper deadline. Three-days normally, but add an extra 24 hours if the deadline's on a weekend (because I expect not only players to be V/LA, but also, myself).
