And this gut is pure gut or can it be explained to some degree at least?

Post 156, I don't like when people do that
Post 157, looks like busy work
His vote on mhork looks to be stemmed from mhork voting him, no to mention this line

"I have a scum read on this guy. I also think I may have convinced myself for pushing for his lynch."

Seems contrived

Well my ipad refuses to play nice with the multiquote options. So lets pretend we have post 44 to lead this off. Post 44 ofc being the lurker post which has garnered the wagon. The catalyst for my vote was entirely the last line, informing us that he would leave his vote for now, but don't worry! He would move it outside the RVS. This struck me as a tad off? Why? Rather than go off on that immediately, we let it simmer. Ask him why did he feel the need to type this particular sentence. What was the motivation for that phrase? A scum mindest?

unvote: vote lurker

@lurker: regarding post #44, why did you feel the need to announce you weren't moving your vote?

To let them know that at the same time I wasn't lurking and would move my vote eventually.

His response was the above. I argue based on this, that yes, his post 44 was motivated by scum alignment. See, why would you need to let us know you would move your vote eventually and why did you seem to want to note your adherence to rvs? To fit in. If town, there is no reason to make that post. You probably dont even think about it. We know we're in RVS, we know half the votes aren't serious, we know theyll likely move when things heat up (more than likely, they better actually), and thus votes at the time are of minimal importance. Frankly they barely matter at all. Only as scum do you make that post. You want to fit in, you have to post so you dont lurk, you likely feel antsy. You post about how its RVS ad youll move your vote when needed (probably when a mislynch wagon is rolling along lol). Youre trying to fit in. In your mind youre saying "just act natural, just act natural......uhhhhh.....rvs ill move my vote". Well duh you will, we all will! But the rest of us didnt have to make sure everyone else knew.

Then this.

Mogadishu Jones wrote:Before I expound on why that is silly and I think requires further scrutiny, one more question.

Why did it take you so long to answer the question?

Because It did not seem like a pressing issue, considering it was RVS anyway.

Thats just terribad. If it wasnt pressing why would I keep asking? Furthermore, my original vote on you was outside the rvs, and made clear through my interactions as something I was serious about. i mean you ignored ,e asking on like three separate occasions, so I'm not sure what to call your response other than a fabrication because you dont have a good answer.

The above now considered and marinated on, I am prepared to watch lurker swing.

Baby Spice wrote:Pls, quotes and using names and not just personal pronouns adds context which is fabulous, but please trim the quote to relevence. Walls of quoted text for a single line response is not good.

Im not sure if this is directed at me but with the constrains of this tablet trying to delete a bunch of quote text is a pain in the rear not to mention could likely result in the huge quote tag fail I had earlier so with all due respect you may just have to deal.

Also I post one liners a lot, highly doubtful is changes.

Is it scummy to say I'll be busy for the next few days? Since that's what I'd compare it to and I think you're exaggerating the post being scummy.

Nope and I fail to see even a smidgeon of similarites.

Being irl busy is irl based. You cant try and analyze peoples real lives nor do I think its in fair taste to try.

I'll help more later when discussion is serious and I'm busy right now both are things that deal with promising content but one is scummy and the other isn't?

P-edit: Point being both deal with appearances in trying to say I'll help which in a vacuum might be bad, but in practice is more of a way for people to have their presence known.

But one doesnt need to be said. A v/la is something that needs to be noted and isnt a given. I think my argument may be going over your head.

I'm not referring to V/LA. I'm referring more to posts like Xis's last post.

Still, a period of inactivity is worth noting, planning to move your vote when rvs is over is so irrelevant the only person who thinks to mention that is someone who needs to create a façade

I think both are worth noting so just agree to disagree on it. I'm treating both like promises to help out more which isn't in practice scummy.

It's not the promise, its the mindset behind it.

I dont look for scumtells, but scum mindsets.

Scumtells are just a good lead to investigate for a mindset.

Also on the topic of disagreeing, do you feel better about me waiting to explain that? I ask because its kinda my style and I feel like this conversation may follow me into future games.

Read wise? It helps since you actually are showing a good amount of thought in reads and makes me think you're more likely town. Agreement wise I still think they both show similar mindsets of someone trying to explain they'll help later when it really doesn't help besides show they aren't lurking.

Cool cool. I spose ill have to lean on the others, would you argue for us to not lynch lurker though?

Yes although primarily because I think Mhork is scum and I don't think he's bussing (Xis I also think a good chance of being scum, but less so).

Posted: Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:30 pm
by Mogadishu Jones
Yu must feel highly of yourself if you think you both caught scum and can tell he's not bussing on page nine.

Not that I'm not guilty of arrogance in mafia myself.

Not specifically but that was a glaring example.

Well you think lurker is scum. I think mhork is. As for not bussing you generally don't assume every time someone you suspect is voting someone it's mafia. You usually think it's voting a mislynch.
