To clarify, the title of the thread is to surprise everyone, and God was hoisted by his own leotard.

Role summary

bloojay (Macbeth) was mafia with a 1 time role cop ability by asking the witches. Pretty standard - choice of stab, execute (delibrately), and killed in sleep.

Captain B (Lady Macbeth) was mafia GF and appeared to be "insane" to investigations instead of guilty or innocent. Tempted to commit suicide. Both mafia got a bonus if the contenders to the throne died.

(Which were Richard of Gloucester, Lear, Hamlet, Prince and Hal)

DS (Richard of Gloucester) - SK, pings people for female roles and chats them up. Also wanted contenders to the throne dead (same list, replace Richard of Gloucester with Macbeth) I'm very interested in what was said.

Someone (Lear): didn't know who he was, got three guesses which were crucial to guessing sanity issues (reverse results for females). Got "insane" had he investigated himself. Essentially needed to guess role or nothing will make sense.

MeMe (soothsayer) - the other info role, affected by the same "insane" things that some people have ("insane" will be not guilty, nor innocent)

ZONEACE(Portia) - lynch redirection, could redirect to no lynch. A bit like Mother Theresa from DP6. Due to Mini 69 I thought that there might be lots of newbies and hoped an experienced player would get this role.. not the opposite (see choices, posted later)

DP (Aaron) was traditionally evil in Titus, but there was this one rewriting.... doc, points for protecting right people

Thoth, (Hamlet (vig)), wanted as many dead as possible.

Quail (Cleopatra), tempted to suicide, joke/homage to DP6, suggests mod might be "throwing a curveball"

Morpheus (Desdemona) was told "townie" but inf act if died, came back to life the next day and died at the end of day. Made fun of Othello's ending.

God (Prince), town. Also a joke. In case you hadn't noticed, that quote was dirge's sig and was by the artist Prince. Hinted at curveball thing.

Coincidentally, when Doves Cry was used in Baz Luhrmann's R+J.

Sorry God, I just followed the town's lead. Actually for me it was rather good to shoot a townie as long as at least one of the scum shot the other as it would have brought me closer to fulfill my 'hidden agenda' (Everyone dead).

I hoped for a scenario with me, a townie and 1 scum left on the last day. Put in a quick vote for the townie and then shoot the scum at night (and get shot in return, but suiciding just to make sure).

Wow, talk about your all-time greatest backfires. I had assumed that there were 2 two-member mafia groups in this game, so when DS came out with his two "confirmed" innocents, I figured either God or Thoth had to be scum. So, I figured I had a solid way to prove copness by leading a lynch against one of them (Nothing personal God... I picked you because you were already on my bandwagon). The plan was that I would knock off DS, who I thought was innocent, and then accuse one of the two "women" of being Lady Macbeth.

DS - Why'd you kill me? Was it to get rid of a cop role, or did you suspect that I was lying like a shag carpet?

ROLES:

Between Shakespeare's death and 1923 Titus Andronicus appeared only in adapted form. The first of these adaptations was published in 1687: Edward Ravenscroft's Titus Andronicus: or, the Rape of Lavinia, which underlined the role of Aaron. In the preliminaries Ravenscroft commented unfavourably on the original 'It seems rather a heap of rubbish than a structure'.
