I don't like the Rack case primarily because he's an alt, and alts are generally an awkward account to interact with because they often don't want to give off any possible tells as to who their main is. The case to me reads as "Rack is acting generally strange and awkward," and not something like "Rack did something super scummy."

Remember how I speculated Flames was defending Rack to get towncred? Look at this 180. If that's a bus, that's the worst bus in the history of busses. Like "Holy shit my partner is getting lynched, I must vote now!"

Some votes are labeled as reaction tests. There's a certain category of votes, and votes within that category can be glorified into reaction tests. That is the category of vote to which my vote on Malakittens belongs. Or in plain english, I don't actually have any particular reason.

I've also been lurking like 80-90% because of sheer laziness.

Agar and Tammy are town. I think rack is town.

Flames, on iso, is a good candidate for scum, so I'm willing to support Agar in his venture for justice. Riabi is also an excellent candidate, as 184 (as others have pointed out) was the bad kind of waffling, i.e. it looks like scum wanting not to commit.

Even if I think Rack is a possible scum (that'swhy I kept my random vote there), we should keep an I on those who were and are on that wagon. (Yes, this includes me, I'm no exception.) MalaKittyPryde too found the wagon too fast though, I disagree with her: in my opinion the wagon is not a real tell on Rack.

I would start flailing or something like that if I thought that you were wrong. But, you're absolutely right.
Since I relatively new to the site, I can provide only 1 completed game to show you (if needed) that this behavior is not an alignment tell, it's simply an " tell. (Should you think that it's worth meta-ing me, ignore my newbie game. My Day1 gameplay was shyt there, I even admitted that later in that game.)

Right now I'm off to work but after that, I'll have time for not only reading but also ISO-ing, thinking about the posts and writing more content as well.

Sorry, I can normally play/post some at work, but work has just been indiscriminately crazy the last few days, and I've literally not been home to be at a computer either.

I don't have a lot of strong reads yet. But, while I may not have expressly said "rack, this is why you lean scum in my book" I think I eluded to my reasons in my questions. I felt that the way rack handled Tammy was scummy. It feels scummy to make an accusation about someone's meta, but then not support it with facts later.

As for town reads, AGar. He's asking IMO, a lot of good probing questions.

I definitely plan to get more complete reads, but it will likely be this weekend before that's possible.

Listing is in nowadays, as far as I can see. So, I've ISO-ed everyone and here it comes.


Agar – genuine scumhunting, including eg. 130, 205.


T-man – active reading and it seems that he tries hard. Still, something disturbs me in his posts and I don't know what. (Can anyone help?)
Implosion – his 100+ posts are mostly town-ish, though his vote in 115 was awkward. (So was his explanation about it in 208)
Chaoslord – because his list seems to be genuine, not a simple copy/paste of another list or of the current VC. But, we need more posts!
MalaKitty – many posts are sensible (eg. 87, 93, 97, 128... many). Still, she might be an expert-scum who tries starting cases (42, 129). Though, in my case, apart from the "forced RVS" thing she was right (I was posting elsewhere while producing here null-fluff). So, the latter possibility is not too likely.
Phokdapolees – he simply missed a joke earlier this day. (He gave an answer in 122) Either I'm skimming over major things or his posts have little content. Though, I find nothing really scummy here.


Shadowez – both town (eg. 147, 151) and scum vibes (eg. 150 if I consider 151 townish, or 89).
Tammy – hmmm... I consider this 5 and her similar posts jokes but eg. the vote in 78 was WTF. I don't know, maybe her later posts will help me in my reads.
Riabi – too little content.


Elias – feel free to call me an idiot but I think he's insincere at scumhunting. Even using the word insincere in 55 confirms my feelings. Plus, why does he sheep Kitty with his vote for me if he has scumreads on others? This 190 answer seems to be insufficient.


Rack – a couple of WTFs, like 37, 213. Talking about his previous games with Tammy and not providing anything about them. After that, this vote: 79 (what's the case against Kitty?) and this vote: 96. I think he's simply jumping on random wagons without having any sort of cases.
FlamesAndNumbers – Huh? In 48 he told that they had been joking (with Tammy) yet he responds to Implosion's 39 "I love when people give serious votes but give no reasoning at all." (Though, 2 posts later he suggested us to ignore that quote.) 66 is weak, post 92 is weak as well (tunnelling?). Post 67 and 75 contradicts each other more or less. Having read on, I realized that he had been unable to decide whether protect or attack Rack. 149 is a quotewall with little-to-none additional thoughts.

Note: I don't think that Rack and Flames are scums together (after I ISO-ed both of them). So, either my reads are flawed or I'm wrong about my previous conclusion.

VOTE: Flames – because he looks scummier right now than Rack.

It fences you in. Just when you think someone is scum a list makes you want to call them town. Which destroys any gut feeling I had on them to begin with.

Tammy is town, unless she does something majorly scummy then that read isn't changing. I also disagree with a lot of people's lists.

Implosion I think your reaction test was bullshit. Because of the few games you have with me or saw of me do you really think a reaction test would work on me? Like I think you had a better chance at selling meta differences than selling that was all a reaction test on me.

I disagree with you.

First of all, there are no "concrete fences". Reads can change any time.
Second, no lists can be "blind-trusted". Everyone misreads tells, misinterprets facts, skimms over posts, sentences, words.
Your own list helps you a lot sometimes. Eg. "wait... I have a feeling that Mmrnmhrm is scum but wait, in my list XX posts before I thought he was town. Let's check his later posts again whether anything has changed. On the other hand, hadn't I misinterpreted something by calling him town before?"
Others can correct your lists as well. Something like "Did you call Arilou scum because of her YY post? Check out her ZZ post where she explained the thing which gave you scum vibes". (Those were fictional examples, as far as I know there are no players with those names.)

It's just as important (or even more important) to read others' lists. I think towns try to get reads and build up cases, even if their logic might be flawed by doing those whereas scums tend to pick things out of the thread inconsequently, give references/quotes which are hard to be followed (or give no references at all), intentionally misinterpret posts – or they simply echo others' thoughts.

Of course posting a list is neither a scumtell nor a towntell.
