I like
Ffery
's concerns about me in
Post 131 as I feel the disappearing would normally be more indicative of my scumgame. I can follow her thought process with the CDB and ika reads pretty well and the vote makes sense on the back of Mafia on the Air. I'm curious about the unvote though. ika hasn't posted since so what changed? Her thoughts on Tiershift's case on NS in
Post 136 resonate with me as well as some of her points in
Post 133. I also liked the townread on Notscience as his interaction with Ffery was one the things I liked about his play and the points she made about Espeonage vs Tiershift in
Post 169 regarding how Espeonage is masking his play under the post restriction. I actually have a surprisingly strong town read here fueled with the strength of burning high octane jet fuel. I now await the inevitable paranoia as she attempts to sort me which I think I'll find incredibly amusing and will thoroughly enjoy.

With regard to Nacho sprinking hot cheetos, I expect I'll figure it out when he's back.

I'm having real issues with correlating these two posts from Falcon. I mean, it's not as bad as picking the wrong end of the burrito and wearing refried beans and sour cream for the rest of the day, but I'd like an explanation.
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:But my wanting Nacho dead was clearly an RVS push not intended to lynch him so there was no actual stance change.
You were pushing this wagon and asking why there weren't more votes on it.
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:Specifically, I want to know whether the initial vote on me was serious. If it was, why move to Tier so easily before I did anything? If it wasn't, why enquire about why people aren't voting me?
So by your own reasoning, your first vote was a serious vote, because you said this:
and this:
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:Come on guys, I want to see some blazing Nacho votes. Nachos with molten cheese taste amazing.
and this:
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:We really, really should vote Nacho and celebrate his wagon with fireworks. Come on guys, you disappoint.
If it wasn't a serious vote and was just an RVS push, why enquire about why people weren't voting Nacho, Falcon?

I'm sad that people are shooting down an ika wagon before it can really get going - more than anything, it was his reaction to a big early push that I was hoping to see. Of course there's not much on him *now*, although it's been a bad start, but it's frustrating that there doesn't seem to be much curiosity in this game.
notscience's vote on Beast is well-intentioned but not one with which I agree, and AP's sheep on it is kinda lame.
F-16 (whom I'll take as town all day for last page): I've actually forgotten the reason why I put Beast as town in #82, though I agree with you that he's got townier since. It was probably for the tone of his vote on TSO, which could be restriction-affected but I dug the certainty with which he voted somebody who wasn't already a leading wagon. I liked Bookitty's early consideration of the gamestate in #61 and signs of trying to work out people's motivations such as in #65.
Not been as active in this early stage as I'd hoped as it's much harder to post in this game from work when each post requires careful thinking to ensure that the restriction is met. Normally, when at work, I'm even clumsier than usual, if you can believe that. This one time, I was reaching for the Backspace key and ended up prone on the floor with orange juice all over my shirt. I don't even know where the orange juice came from.

I think when a player is active sitewide and not active in a particular game, it's the same as knocking the lollipop out of a baby's hand and into the dirt. Ika is bad and he should feel bad.

TSO, Bookitty is right that ika has been active on site in the last day or so though he didn't post here. This makes me a little nervous. I feel like my scout reports from earlier games we played are valid reasons to be concerned about him, though I am taking on board your and notscience's assertions that his town playbook lists play like this.
I'm going to munch another pretzel and think about whether I want to put my vote back there.
I don't like that Espe's reply to me yesterday was lacking detail and my follow-up didn't get airtime with him.

Espeonage, it could be the pregame tailgate party keg getting to me but I don't think so.
IIRC you hate the use of meta in mafia.
You're arguing a meta case for Tier-scum.

Look at all those noob people with their noob faces getting infractions.
I actually do think TS is a scumdog.
Kats need to either explicitly state that she really is daycop, or stop being an ugly anti town.
Explain.
I have beer and pretzels.
You have my undivided attention.
I have seen him as scum and town.
At the start of the game,
I have seen him do this play as scum. I have not seem him do this play as town.
It's like a tonal thing, like how loud farts smell less than the "fffffffffffffffff" sleeper farts that rank up entire houses and leave skid marks.

Espe makes for a good vig target!
I have a few townreads across the board. I certainly lack scumreads at this moment, it's very easy for scum just to hide behind their PR.
Townreads, don't be afraid. When my men break into this basement, I'll have them shoot everyone but you!
More later, maybe.

[The basement door opens. One of the gracious hosts (the gimp mask makes it hard to say which) descends the stairs with a small black box in hand. Looking over at ika and Katsuki, the host sadly shakes his or her head.]
"It's not time for sleeping yet. My associates and I were generous enough to set up an elaborate game for you! Do you realize how impolite and rude this is? I don't know why I'm surprised, I should have known people like you couldn't adhere to the basic etiquette of gamesmanship. Luckily, I know how to prod people."
[The host opens the black box to reveal a tazer with the brand-name "Ballstinger 5000" emblazoned on it.]
"Did I say prod? I meant cattle prod."
[The host then proceeds to taze Katsuki and ika in the testicles. They convulse, and the host is probably smiling but it's hard to say.]
"Start talking or there's more where that came from!"
[The host turns, walks up the stairs, and pauses at the door.]
"Oh... that reminds me. If you smell anything weird later today, don't mind it at all. The BadaBing staff is pumping a mild poison into the basement to kill the millipedes down here. The poison guy assures us that it's harmless to humans... but just in case, I wouldn't breathe too heavily for awhile."
[With that, the host leaves, locking the basement door.]
Katsuki and ika have been prodded.

Probs works.
At least I don't look asleep when I'm awake like some of you losers.
Actually nvm, just worked out it's all your squinty suspicious faces not what you look like normally.
I don't want to deal with the burden of backing up my reads. Which makes me sad. We need more shenaningans. Kats I'm appalled you didn't hit the pretend daycop harder. You should have run him up to lynch. That would have been fun. Such disappoint.
I'm keeping up btw, and have reads, and have reread but posting is a drag. Don't ask me for things yet.

Me asking why there were no more votes on the wagons doesn't mean it is a serious vote. I wanted to see how Nacho and others would react to it. I enquired about it to put people on the spot and have them justify why they were or weren't wagoning Nacho. It had nothing to do with me scumreading Nacho or wanting him thrown in a large tank of boiling hot gasoline.
↑ T S O wrote:My cellphone was lost for a while, so I haven't been so active. But I'm here and ready to talk!
Why do you believe ika is lynchbait? I searched for ika in your topics and it seems you haven't played any games together.

When I throw a cream pie at someone's face, I want to see whipped cream sliding down their vest and tie. You're dodging the question, which I'll simplify for you:
You voted Nacho and asked for added votes on him. You then reversed yourself and offered to proxy your vote to Nacho. You now claim that was an RVS push and not to be taken seriously.
Brantz voted you and asked for added votes on you. He then moved his vote to Tiershift. This is strikingly similar to your own behaviour, imo. You ask him this:
↑ F-16_Fighting_Falcon wrote:Specifically, I want to know whether the initial vote on me was serious. If it was, why move to Tier so easily before I did anything? If it wasn't, why enquire about why people aren't voting me?
Why does your reasoning flip when applied to someone else?
Posted: Fri Jan 23, 2015 1:24 pm
by F-16_Fighting_Falcon
Because Brantz didn't feel like he was looking for reactions deserving of white hot whipped cream and I want to hear what his reasoning was. My own reasoning is known to me but not Brantz's. And there are lot of things you gain by watching how people react, their tone, hesitancy etc.
What motivation do you think I would have as scum to push Nacho and then proxy my vote to him?

Much like the hot dog vendor who dumped cheese on me at the ball game, I don't know your motivation. Scum motivation for that could be to justify a push on townNacho later on, to demonstrate distancing from scumNacho later on or simply to clog up the thread with an unsupported push that achieves the appearance of activity without actually furthering the gamestate.
What did you derive in the way of results from your push on Nacho? What were you hoping would happen there?

I'm trying to figure out if you jumped on me just because something looked awkward to you or you legitimately thought that my actions would be beneficial to scum. Voting someone and proxying a vote to them looks bad on the surface. It looks contradictory and easily attackable.
↑ Bookitty wrote:What did you derive in the way of results from your push on Nacho? What were you hoping would happen there?
For the actual meltdown push, I was looking for general awkwardness or noticeable reactions. The agreement between you, Brantz, and NS was the most striking although I wonder if all misinterpreted something because you all being scum is rather unrealistic. For the vote proxy, I talked about it before but it was a reference to a previous game where Nacho and I were both town, and he thought I was proxying my vote to him, he then pushed another player to L-1 to get the game started. I was hoping to see him do something productive when given the opportunity to have an extra vote, (especially mine) and get a read on him based on what he does.

This is a strangely low-activity game. Wondering whether that's because most of the hardcore lurkers are town and the most active posters are scum trying not to stick their necks too far out?
I'll ponder that while curating a list of every fact about F-16's personal life.
Also more F-16 votes please.
