I kinda think that vote should have been a little bit easier for you given how many degrees skitter pivoted on your slot? But honestly, I haven't been to LyLo as many times as I should have given my join date, I used to be d1 mislynch bait. So I'm not sure if it's possible for town to go after one player, get locked into a different 1v1, and yet flip town

yeah i didn't do such a great job faking read progressions this game :/

oh i'm p sure it didn't, and i could tell, which is why i didn't bother answering it because i don't think any of it changed his opinion either way, which made your argument irrelevant if you couldn't communicate it to the person who was deciding

oh and the scum pt: epic forgot it existed for like the first week of the game - i had to ask nexus to remind him about it

i knew we were in column c, which meant mason/mason; jk; cop. i was searching p hard for masons and didn't see any (good job guys)

so when he came back he was basically at l-1 already and that point i figured if we weren't in masons fake-claiming doc/tracker wasn't the worst idea

and then i had weekend vla, he claimed, the cc happened, and he got lynched before i got back

so that's what happened day1

and that's why i was so wishy-washy around him day1
i prob would have bussed in other games in that scenario but i feel like it goes against the purpose of the newbie queue to bus your newbie partner without, like, communicating with them about it, so i didn't because he had gone awol

so i left just enough room that i could hop on later if needed (which menalque pointed out) but didn't go hardcore on the bus, which left me in an awkward place

also all 3 cases on me were p good imo

I think I have a standing disagreement with you on how far ignoring you own opinions and proxying opinions of others can benefit you, skitter, I feel like it helped me win this game and not mislynch emps. In a game with RC I gave his opinion on a slot pretty heavy weight, especially after he flipped town, and it served me well there too. It's not a fun skill to hone but I think it can be useful, especially when you get a feel for how much grounding you have beneath your own reads and whether that's weak enough grounding to consider proxying

I actually think masons are the easiest to work with, for the most part - you know *exactly* who town power is, which makes it easier to work around - you know that there arent going to be any surprise guilties on you

Also you did some nka at some point, which was also spot-on - neither farkran nor spam were particularly suspiciois of me that night, but farkran had more of a presence and was more liable to rethink things, so he had to go

Also i still respect you a lot skitter, you didn't play bad. You were put in a very hard place as scum in this game, yet you went up to lylo and had some (not many, to be honest, but also non-zero) chances to win. This is a significant achievement in itself. I love pops though.

I kinda wanted to force prs to out early so that:
A) i'd know where they are
B) i have a built-in excuse for not dying

I think part of what did you in was not working together with other olayers, if that makes sense? You kinda need to recognize that if you're in the hot seat, you need to figure our what other players want from you in order to get yourself into a better position.

In this game it was p simple: teacher wanted you to explain why you were scumreading me - in his eyes at that point, you were scum making up a read who couldnt explain it when pressed. If you had explained it, i think he would have backed down there because at least part of the reasoning didnt hold

So i think an important skill as both alignments is recognizing what people are expecting/needing from you to be townread, and then doing that

Unvoting scum, even with the best intentions, is probably a little like owning a holstered black water gun as a fashion accessory you like to fiddle with while cops write your speeding tickets. Not actually a bad sign, but you're putting an awful lot out to be misinterpreted and the burdern on the interpreter is pretty high.

Ya i knew menalque would be the day2 mislynch once he unvoted, that sort of thing just doesnf look good and is really easy to push, even though it doesnt actually come from scum that often

I mean, i'd probably have killed sely too, but i have been reconsidering it recently. Didn't you feel confident you could trick her into voting pops?

I didnt feel like i had as good a sense of what her reads are and that there was a p good chance that she'd just lolsheep teached without thinking about it too much

(In lylo as scum i believe its really important to know as much as possible what the other players are liable to do - it makes it easier to figure out what veats you need to hit.
I didnt have a great sense for what she'd do and nobody scumread her so i decided she should go

It was a tough choice tho; no lylo was particularly favorable to me - although like i said before, any lylo with teacher out of it was better than one wirh him in it so it was good that he became the day3 mislynch

I’m p sure she said her plan was get pops to vote emps whereas sely was lock!town by the end so that wouldn’t have worked if she’d liked emps

Sure, no way pops would vote Sely over skitter, but what about the opposite? Sely voted pops in d3, there was at least some chance she would vote pops again in d4. I was just wondering if that would have been a better plan, despite the fact that you basically bring an assumed IC to lylo.

Yeah but if she was just going to sheep teacher i was screwed because pops wasnt going to vote selynee, and i couldnt tell if she'd just sheep teacher

FYI, for the newbs, if you sign up now you likely miss the troika of SEs here. Those in/who get in the current newb line is slated to go with 3 other SEs in a game I am modding, and then Skit/Pops/I will be the game after that.

Oh i thought inwas signing up for the next game, not then one after that - i've got some vla in the next month so i might have to out depending, not fair to sign when i know i have vla for a game with 36 hour prod timers

Wrt your wagon:
A) he wasnt around
B) it wasnt a sure thing yet that his lynch would happen instead (and lolhammering you would make it a sure thing)
C) iirc i still wanted menalque at ths time - i believe in trying to see if you can get mislynches in people you'd otherwise have to kill
D) i figured that i'd get townpoints for wk'ing you - if you hadnt been a pr i was p sure you'd have been mislynched

Regardless of that, you could also rethink your bus strategy against creeper and make it more aggressive and solid.
