What do you mean, "deal with the role"? If they don't claim ascetic, there's a half dozen town powers that can screw them over. If they do, town knows not to waste shots there and will instead use them to confirm other townies, which is what is currently happening. FL's about to become conftown via being confirmed vanilla.

It's not as if town has a god-given right to guilty every scum. Titus's vig shot can kill through the BP, too, so it was unlikely to even come into play in the first place.

conceptually scumsided by nature

i think we've given town a huge number of advantages. i passed this despite leaning townsided on the setup because i think both alignments have ample tools to identify & deal with each others' strengths, and because the massive amount of town strength 1) didn't spew a lot of players, 2) somewhat offset the alignment drafts

I think the fact that I did not know RR is why I found them so blatantly scummy. They have 0 pedigree or weight in my mind, so them not doing anything isn't like RC or Ank trying to hatch a plan, it just looks scummy to me.

3 is actually worse in my mind because a very real world exists where we lose the Enabler Flavor Cop + another power role (Amrun's role/Mason) just to have a CHANCE to deal with scum's most powerful role lol

I dunno. If the enabler had been separate from flavor cop I wouldn't be upset I think. The fact that it's joined... is just like so much ugh from my perspective. Seems like you are cutting off your arm to save the body, but I feel like that punishes town disproportionately than scum.

I just hate that my last comments in the masonry are that RR is town because "that role makes 0 sense to be scum!" because objectively it does make 0 sense to be scum lmao

I thought it made AF and Chemist more likely to be town but RR more likely to be scum because there’s not a guarantee they realize it could have gone through him.
