Why are you asking A50 to claim???

A-1: 7-3-1 >> 5-3-1 >> 3-3-1 GAME OVER
A-2: 7-3-1 >> 6-3-0 >> 4-3-0 E-Lo
B: 8-3-0 >> 6-3-0 >> 4-3-0 E-Lo
C: 8-2-1 >> 6-2-1 >> 4-2-1 >> 3-2-0 E-Lo
D: 9-2-0 >> 7-2-0 >> 5-2-0 >> 3-2-0 E-Lo

These are all possible scenarios (T-W-3P). I so not believe the top 1 is at all likely, but I considered both eliminating the Jester and not.
B & X are more likely now (depending on whether Italiano is Scum or Jester). eliminating him today ensures we don't lose before D4 (worst case scenario). If we are in D we probably are on auto win if we eliminate Italiano today.

Sooo we can elim Italian and possibly get scum or possibly lose our elim tomorrow. Or we can elim elements and possibly get scum.

Question is whether or not Italian is just playing jester poorly or if he is caught scum and jester was his only way to play it off. I still say we run the both up and grill them. Elements may be a safer elim for the town but more time under the microscope for both would help resolve that more.

Oooookay. Thank you to CM1 for his forbearance. I'm going to do a full catchup post overnight, but the first day of school with live students kicked my ass today. I'm caught up, but do not have the energy to type paragraphs when my bed is calling me.

In brief, then -

Italiano is clearly a Jester. Night kill it with fire. Scum, you can't afford for us to get nervous and eliminate him the normal way.

I still do not trust Taylor Swift. Saying fairly straightforward things without better analysis is a classic scum tactic. Unfortunately, it's also a Town tactic.

A50 continues to be Town in my book, and Glitch jumped right in there too. TFL99 still townpings me, though I'm not a fan of everything he has to say.

I am suspicious of Elements, "don't check me" was sus af. I am willing to give him a pass for today though because there might be more there.

Galron continues to ping me. First it was the abiding interest in the mechanics sans substance, then it was the volunteering to be checked. I think A50 (iirc the first to point it out) is dead on, this is exactly how a Defector would operate. He's got my vote.

Who's left? Skies, WLC, insomnia. Eh. There's stuff there, but it hovers in the margin of error.

Pine what 2 players do you want to see on ballot?

Elements: Please don't make things worse between you and A50 by blaming him. It was not helpful for him to get angry like that true but let's all chill please. I suspected you before you both had that argument. You have been vague and suspicious so it is in fact understandable that people scumread you.

The issue with this is I agree it is suspicious but I personally feel it is secondary to Elements and Italino who are more clearly scum reads to me. Galron does indeed seem more likely to be a defector so I'm personally more inclined to put one of the other two on the ballot.

I'll catch up more on stuff I've missed and update on who I'll be voting for soon.

Actually scum does maybe benefit from a Jester being in the game because they mess around and cause confusion the wolves can hide behind and then if we do burn the Jester the next day we don't get a burn - which again could benefit the wolves because they might not be burned on the ballot. So I wouldn't necessarily rely on the wolves to deal with him and would suggest if we do think he is a Jester burning him as soon as possible to limit the negative effects of the no burn the next day.
(Please tell me if this sentence makes less sense than I thought it did I'm a bit tired today)

If Italiano is Jester why waste today's elim on him and tomorrow's elim on no one. We don't have to kill the jester to win. Just leave him alone and ignore him the rest of the game and elim of actual scum.

But if he's actually wild hiding behind this jester facade then we are in trouble. Pine and Taylor, you two seem oddly confident that he is jester. Pine even more so because you don't want him on ballot. That's odd. If you're that confident he's not scum are you scum with him? If we flip him today should we flip you tomorrow, and if you're right about him being jester you're safe, but if he's scum then you go down too? Since you're so confident he's not scum. It's odd to me. I am not one to line up elims like that and of course anything can change in a single post. Bit with the mechanics we know about and how off it is that you dont want Italiano on ballot you have pinged me quite a bit.

Don't discount the possibility that it's a Wolf who got trapped by the C/NC strategy and decided to pretend to be a Jester, so we don't eliminate him.

IF we let him live today I strongly recommend the Clairvoyant checks him tonight (Corrupt = Scum, Not Corrupt = Jester).

HOWEVER, I don't see why we should run anyone else and risk outing an important TPR. We have a "safe" NON-TOWN elimination. Why skip it?

L:ike, I understand the emotional side of the argument. "This doesn't deserve to win" because I am as frustrated as anyone. HOWEVER, let's face it. A Jester's job is to annoy people enough so that they do eliminate them by day. He's been playing to his win con IMHO
