i'm starting to think that bingle is scum for the sole reason that i've been townreading him for the whole game and this feels like a game where i fuck everything up

you thought we were full of shit yesterday, when I "faked a townslop" but you werent interested in pursuing that. instead, you let T3 take all the heat for that, which is why I originally beleived him to be town and you scum.

around what point did this happen? i don't remember, but who knows if i even read it

RC pulling back away from our push today, and moving to a stance of trying to understand us, when he has been adamant that we were scum the entire time makes no sense coming from a town perspective

I was going to fire off a rant here about how I hate this game and have no motivation or investment for it, but you have convinced me not to do it as it would be too toxic, congrats.

However, it does nothing about the general malaise I feel toward mafia at this moment. Don't expect further input from me.

If the game actually makes it to day 3 you're going to need to change your approach drastically if town because the current one is not working and is not creating anything remotely cohesive

I would not be a part of this game at all still had I not signed up as part of a hydra. As it is, Datisi asked me the other day if I'd regained any motivation, I said no but checked in the morning to see post hammer reactions, got pissed and decided to vent because I had stuff on my mind.

Regardless, I have basically no idea as to who is town and who is scum and there is no intrigue to it for me. I have no desire to solve. See ya.

not t3 necessarily, but i'm genuinely wondering if norwee/mastina can be paired up here. both are obviously angling towards rce, both are sinking my slot for ??? reasons after apparently townreading us all game, and norwee's shade towards retti doesn't feel like a natural conclusion

that said, as much as i hate second hand meta, it's probably not a good idea for me to get locked onto this read without even *trying* to figure the apparently obvious meta differences out. we'll see if i'll have enough willpower for that, though.

For the record, I DID notice the contrast between Datisi in this game and Datisi in tris's mini normal that I designed. (I was, after all, reading along.) Datisi's effort in that game was evident in a way absent from this game, but I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt that the reason Datisi wasn't as hardcore overdrive in THIS game was due to him being hardcore overdrive in THAT game.

I still am willing to give that benefit of the doubt to some degree, but I admit that there is some caution behind it. I can't blindly beyond-any-shadow-of-a-doubt townbin Datisi because the contrast between the two games IS rather stark, and I cannot afford to ignore it even if I believe that the contrast was not indicative of an alignment but rather indicative of which game he was most focused on. I still think Datisi is town and that the difference was precisely what I say here, a focus on that game meaning no focus on this one, but I cannot have blind 100% faith in that assumption as it's at least possible the difference is due to alignment even if I currently believe otherwise.

this is also someth i want to respond to. while i definitely was more focused on mini normal 2226 than on this, it wasn't because i was just focusing on that game and that that left me no time for this one. i've been having absolute shit past couple of weeks, which means that my mafia motivation is low. if my mafia motivation is low, that manifests in a way where i'm less active in games that are more willpower-consuming. 2226 was fun, i felt like i had a good grasp on the game, i believed in things i was saying, and i was plainly having a good time. this game? it feels soul sucking. dunno if it's the bad reads, or the replacements, or what, but i can't get into it. even rn, at 100+ pages in lylo, i feel about the same security in my reads than i did just out of rvs.

to save you the trouble of research, yes, i am in general much easier demotivated in games where i am scum than games where i am town. or more accurately, i need more motivation to keep up in them, which i would very much be lacking with how my irl's been going recently. yes, i am aware that looks bad for me here, it is what it is. it has happened in a few town games before i think, but it has also happened as scum, so. think what you will.

The question is if it's worth yelling at norwee for the absurdity of his solve and the notion that scum's gameplan entering the day was to convince him to vote his top townread. It's like he has literally no understanding of the concept of a path to victory.

It's very likely the game is already in a loss state for town and was entering the day and so fighting against it is just screaming into the void.

T3's play right now is nightmarish, although I'm certainly not clearing RCE off it.

To, uh, a big extent if this a loss I accept responsibility here because Datisi and I went radio silent on communications and seemingly neither of us wanted to actually play this but couldn't bring ourselves to actually leave the game.

Of course, if you think I get demotivated as scum here...you really don't have a clue about me, or any idea of how people react to gamestates (big hint: the scum are close to achieving their win condition, while town are doing badly!)


and I know I said I'd fuck off because I hate this game but fighting instincts kicked in because I can't bring myself to roll over and die without trying at all even though it's likely to be too little too late. Don't want to say I no-showed as town.

what makes you think that town!me would be thrilled about being here? i went from utr to scum because of reasons i don't think anyone has actually managed to explain, and i already said regardless of that that this game is pain. being scum here would be great, but that's not the world we're living in unfortunately.
