we're basically a desperado (we have a killing ability and our slings and arrows is that we die instead if we hit town; also our flavor is Mercutio), we were hoping to either kill cephrir scum or conftown him and also set ourselves to flip, we also don't die immediately to a nightkill, like shielder in FGO 2, but we lose our vote which is the reasoning behind the test
that's why I claimed unjester was to try and bait NK, but my play kinda didn't factor in RB until things had progressed to far to back down on some of the stuff I was doing
I initially thought we only had 1 kill shot which meant it not working on cephrir would have been completely fucking our ability to confirm ourselves but we can fire indefinitely until we trigger our slings and arrows (also our use for coins is that we can turn off the slings and arrows condition for one usage of our ability but until we actually confirm ourselves in some way I don't plan to use that).
Also: cephrir not having something to interfere with our role means scum blocked us more than likely, which imo implicates luke because I made some pretty threatening overtures towards him eod 2.

that essentially makes it just plain vig vs. desperado, which while more negative utility if hitting potentially valuable town players, is better to weed out low-contribution slots

@enchant galron had a soft guilty on him because he was tracked to two places at once, he claimed parity cop, people including us decided to give him a day to generate another result, and switched to dunn as the primary alternative. We then realized galron's claim had more holes in it than Swiss cheese and axed him.
which, on this subject, dunnstral actually had a good point about there being no indication galron had a result prior to him being guiltied, and I'm a bit curious why some others didn't key into this specific point (LLD, notty head of Bowser Jr., to name a couple. Also if I missed it pls remind me where it was commented on, whoever did so). I also feel like LLD's wanting to give the role a chance to prove itself tracks with her play in The Neighborhood, but on that subject I feel like her solving lacks the passion I've seen in her recent towngames. I feel like regardless of the individual games she's played, she's brought a certain drive when town. This game I'm just not feeling it. Even compared to Xenoblade 2 where she did a similar thing to start of playing a pseudo-nonverbal game, her play this game feels more flat.

I feel like I put far more effort into how I appear as scum and the messiness here is more town-me. For example, for town-me the late joins on JC and Galron make sense as me coming around to them being scum. Whereas scum-me getting on their wagons is pointless because a late join onto a buddy’s wagon looks worse than not joining at all. But I get that I’m in the PoE and that’s okay. I’d just… obviously rather not.

It does generally make a scumbuddy less likely to be eliminated. Loverising two town is like getting an extra kill, but so is loverizing a buddy and town in the event that the buddy is eliminated. Plus it's less suspicious for Galron to do that?

I agree that overally loverizing scum+town has less scum likelihood than loverizing town+town, but I still think that the way Pav went about it is suspicious and not consistent with a town approach.

Also there are limited scum options from my perspective and Pav is still a reasonably likely one.
I would totally vote Enchant instead if you think though.

Hi, just got here. I'm a dreaming god. One of my abilities was worded in a way that implied either

or totally shutting down all night actions, so I used it tonight. I was also behind the neighbourhoods and reducing the daytime earlier.

I lied about my gold ability, it extends the duration of one of my dreams for an extra cycle. So nobody's dying tonight either.

A global protect would have prevented our ability from triggering. This is a lie!
Also, this is kinda marci's point, but why would CoF have willingly used an ability that reduces the day phase length? If the ability names were indicative enough to suggest one was a kill stopper or action blocker, they should have made it clear that shortening the day phase or something else probably bad would have happened with whatever ability caused that.

Firstly, our lack of vote is specified as a condition of our survival past the time we would otherwise die. Second: only in a situation where our kill succeeds before the check does the “is this player town?” check happen. So a protection on every player would have negated that. Also, is there anything to indicate what level of protection your ability is? There’s some variance in that some roles, like doctor, only prevent 1 kill, while others stop all kills.
Also: have fun shading us, we’re literally gonna be revealed as town at the end of this phase.

As for why Titus ranks above LLD, there’s two parts. First, I just trust Titus more, cuz we’re soul masons. Second, I would not be surprised if some weird fuckery transpired to create another Magical Girls situation. GiF is part of the Icebox hydra and was the mod of that game, it would be a massive long shot but I could see Icebox and LLD putting together some sort of wild scheme to get one or both of them past endgame. This is only something that should really be considered if we get to that point, though.

I don't think so. Shortening deadline means town has less ability to control where the vote goes because there's more pressure to compromise, and hoods are pretty strong pocketing tools for scum.
