Along this train of thought, I invite Capricious to unvote for safety, without retracting his desire to lynch Barros. "But Pops, L-2 isn't that close". If one of our replacements is very aggressive/intuitive, they could vote Barros to L-1, and then Barros could self-hammer to stop talk, things do look that grim for him.
UPDATE: after just reading Moratorium's post, i think he could agree to this.... well maybe not, that would be me and Moratorium agreeing on something Razz.
I missed this request reading through the first time, but actually, I think this is a wise idea. We have two players who appear to be MIA, and I don't have much of a read on either one's motives so far (just 2 or 3 posts each). There's no need to risk an aborted end to Day 2.
I'd like to hear some concrete opinions from both Pimhel and Chuck Norris on the Cop claim/counterclaim to ensure we can maximize our reads on everyone. Once everyone has made significant contributions to Day 2, I'll revote.

The verbalness is hardly the main issue in Barros-Moratorium. Go back and do the exercise I described.

Who was proposing that we lynch someone else? Clearly, today's lynch must be Barros or Moratorium, Barros of course.

Pops can you elaborate a little on this please.

i can elaborate on it, i'm a little less enthusiastic right now. I really think if we had somewhere near an equal measure of suspicion on Barros and Moratorium, it would be a really good option. But I'm becoming more and more certain that Moratorium is telling the truth (most of my issues have been believing Moratorium, because i def. think Barros is suspicious and cupcakable)
But anyway, this is how it works. We leave Moratorium and Barros alive. We instead lynch some other player that we think is suspicious. If you think about it, there is only a 25% chance that there will be anymore investigations this game (1/2 chance of doc/roleblocker set up * 1/2 chance barros is roleblocker). So, if we're in that other 75%, there is no loss in this, the day 3 lynch would have to be the same thing: scrounging around for someone suspicious.
Then that night, the scum would have a big catch twenty two. Normally they would be able to NK tonight with no drawbacks. But if the nightkill the detective tonight, then they "waste" their nightkill and let us lynch the fake detective with absolute certainty.
If they decide to NK a non detective, then both Barros and Moratorium will give investigation results. They'll either have a result, or have been roleblocked. If they were roleblocked, we lose a little bit. There's a 50% chance we are in the roleblock setup, in which case we would take a loss: the loss is where we could have killed a roleblocker day 2, and earned free investigations.
In summary of the way the odds work out on all that, there is a 75% chance there would be no real penalty for delaying the lynch a day. The remaining 25% however, is golden, a big payoff: that's the dream scenario Moratorium talked about, where a doctor saves the detective everyday as he investigates people on night 2, night 3, and probably night 4.... if we got that, it would be pretty difficult to lose.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At this point i feel that the only reason I'm not voting for Barros is that my mind could be changed by more discussion. This is a change in position for me, before i was so undecided i would have let other people vote before i did because i was uncertain. Now, the moment i approve for voting to occur, my vote lies with Barros.
I suppose i should explain reasons for the shift. One reason is what Moratorium pointed out, Barros probably only innocented me to win a very vocal friend. I thought he would probably clear a scum, as noobish as he seems, but Moratorium's explanation makes sense.
Second, i liked the last post i got from Moratorium, with the big bolded paragraph in it. The consistency with his original claim, and the explanation, kind of gave me brighter feelings towards him. Before i was kind of upset by the emphasis on numbers that so quickly gave way to the logic he said he was moving the game away from, but now i see it's more like a safety net.
And for some reason, whenever nothing gets said, i just gradually begin to shift towards "Barros is scum". I dunno why. Maybe it's in a psychology textbook somewhere.
Cupcake: Barros
(that's not a vote mod)
@Moratorium: I'm happy you unvoted. I posted that suggestion before i knew of Barros' cop claim actually, now that he actually talked about killing himself (which counts against him pretty strongly) this is more important.
@Capricious: Do you still want me to the excersise? I've kind of underprioritized it, but it is on my to do list.
@Barros: Are you mafia roleblocker?
@guy0: What do you think about the nightkill? Which of Moratorium or Barros do you think would have done it?

so recently, MME was focusing his attention on pops, and there was a good deal of reason behind what he said. This leaves three options, 1. pops killed him, 2. someone killed him so that people would think pops killed him (wifom wifom wifom) or 3. someone killed him because his arguments, like i said, had a good deal of reason behind them and may have hindered the scum's ability to fool the town. Any other thoughts

P.S. I think Moratorium got more recent gunfire from MME, but i'm not too sure about that i'll check up on it again

I say that we don't look at the NK.
guy0 just gave three reasons why MME would have been killed. How can we know which of them is correct? It's not helpful right now.
I haven't read everything yet up till now. I have been very busy, that's why I also didn't post yet.
I'll give my opinion about the 'cops' tomorrow.

hi pops!
By the way, my take on MME is another way to be prepared for future discussion, the listed possibilities may be referenced later.

MME's death can tell a little. I think Pimhel is correctly pointing out that the NK can't stand alone on anyone at all, but it's reasonable to combine it with something. Obviously i wouldn't have done the player-by-player analysis back on page 7(?) about killers and killees.

I just reread page seven and realized that Moratorium's large cop claim was after he got an FoS and a vote.
This is disconcerting, it makes his claim look more like a pre-emptive butt-saving claim.
I also didn't notice last time that his major claim was his second day 2 post, not his first.
Would you like to describe why you waited that little bit of time, Moratorium?

I answered this in post 199. In fact, when I answered this in post 199, it was within an answer responding to a question of yours that states that I'd answered another question of yours again in post 164...

@Moratorium: I've been meaning to ask this but i forgot: Why did you claim instead of just applying pressure to Barros? Barros looked pretty bad. I'd given Barros an FoS, I'd have backed you up. Barros doesn't look like genius scum that could guard himself brilliantly. And you wouldn't have to reveal the cop to the scum that way. Why did you make the early claim?
I answered this in post 164. First, I disagree with you that "Barros looked pretty bad." No one was saying much of anything about Barros on Day 1, and nothing at all in the early part of Day 2. In fact, the first Day 2 posts were cases being started on me by you and Capricious regarding your perceived suspicions of me RE: Young Eric being hammered.
So now put yourself in my position. Day 2 arrives. I have a beneficial investigation result. My investigation target has flown under the radar most of the game. The rest of town is suspicious of me due to the vote results. If the rest of town lynches me, we're in some serious trouble, we'll be LYLO on Day 3 (3 town 2 mafia), with no good information on anyone. I have to figure something out right now or we are lost. And not "I have to hope someone comes up with something"... I have to figure it out! I'm the one with the damn guilty verdict!
So first of all, if I'm going to put the effort to go back and read and re-read posts of yours, and pay attention to what YOU are saying (see: Unvote), I would appreciate it if you did the same.
Second, it was ABSOLUTELY, COMPLETELY a pre-emptive, butt-saving claim. That's
THE ENTIRE POINT OF POST 164
, to go "hey, guys, you are all fucking this up badly, I need to fix this right now or we're dead".
As far as "why i waited that little bit of time", I went back and looked, and it was 1 hour and 45 minutes from the first post to the second. I spent that time thinking over the situation, taking a nice shower in my lovely hotel all-marble shower that I've been enjoying these past two weeks (as i mentioned in the opening of post 164), and typing up the post. I'm not sure what else you are insinuating that I could accomplish in that amount of time that somehow makes me sinister?

I'm terribly sorry, you're right. I'll try to reread more.
Next time you can just tell me it's covered, i don't think you should hunt to quote to atone for my poor reading. (that was a 11:00 p.m. reading of your post, and i'm on a high schooler's schedule)

Barros, you need to speak if you are reading. If you are really town, speaking will only help you. Don't perceive that it will hurt you, silence under pressure is worse than almost anything you can say.

Ok, all i got to say is: I really don't know what to do more, or you kill moratorium or you kill me, but, in the end, both will end up lynched...
We just got to wait that the one who is killed is scum.

Um.... i'm gonna give you a chance to re-think that. Like, as a human being trying to dignify oneself. If Moratorium were lynched we would kill you? why?

You are no fun at all.
Prum prum, by the by, if Barros did actually come up cop, somehow, the
doctor
should protect me. Saving an innocent is better than saving an unknown, having innocents in the game decreases like, the uncertainty and stuff. I don't know, the doctor started saving the innocent in a game i read.
