the context is i wanted to elim Nakata today, and i don't feel like anyone has offered anything against my reasons for scumreading him besides wanting other players. which is fine i guess. but now i'm concerned i'm going to get heat for not preferring Infinity today if she does flip scum, when i didn't townread her in the first place and voted her earlier before Nakata caught my attention.

and i don't see how 1747 resembles an Infinity defense, it's me asking Ydrasse about her Nakata read.

but as said, i'm nowhere near certain that those posts indicate anything more than me not liking your infinity vote and confbiasing myself. so y'know. won't be putting much thought into this yet.

Honestly I think Nakata has more chance of scum than Infy.

what do you think town Infinity is thinking in this situation? also wondering what about Nakata you scumread, i don't remember a lot of your reads today.

It feels like Infinity is a suspect who was seen at the crime scene but instead of staying and clarifying what she was doing there, she decided to run.

scum infinity seems pretty possible, the plain not showing up at deadline when she's been online does feel like giving up, and that would be in line with how she's felt occasionally present and trying and at other times like she's barely treading water. i can buy that this isn't normal for a scum Infinity either, but it seems like she's been in a bit of a slump recently too. i think it was Tweetie who said that being in a slump doesn't mean a slot can't also be scum.

i just find her really null and dry. that doesn't make her a bad elimination at all, and i've certainy made the mistake of not wanting to elim players i nullread who were scum.

and it's stupid but since i'm not confident she's town i don't feel good trying to pull the elim in another direction. plus the whole freezing up and not posting is definitely a lot more of a scum behavior than a town one, in this context. still not a fan of the blanket ellitell though.

I'm pretty swayed by the idea that Infy wouldn't just leave us at the deadline as town.

infiniscum isn't off the table, the pushes on her feel more wrong honestly.

Nakata has been my more vocal scumread. Hes a bad habit of exaggerating things and something about his appeals seems massively off.

A culprit would obviously have far more motivation to run than an innocent.

Let me explain why i'm so confident Infinity is scum here.
So i've played one game with town!Infinity before and their general town playstyle struck me as VERY similar to mine, hence they were an really easy townread and we both recognized each other pretty much immediately as town. In this game she's also called me town but i think it's just been an pocketing attempt.
They have this form of obvious town playstyle where they always explain their thought process in an very clear manner and stay heavily engaged in the game, they also fight tooth and nail for their reads.
Here it's basically 2020 scum!Norwee popping it's head into Infinity's game where they try to coast but do it in an really fake and artificial manner, and when they get caught on it by someone they purport to townread they just freeze completely and ghost the thread. It's an cry for help, an cry about rolling scum. And the only cure is to eliminate them like putting down an sad puppy. Which is always an terrible thing to do, but it's got to be done.
