Hi. Gloria told me people were concerned with some post I had.
Maybe I worded it weird or something but the point of that post was to say
1) I think we shouldn't do a wagon on a person softing pr. I'm biased in this regard bc I've been hammered 3 times after softing pr under pressure and not dealing with the shit afterwards well. This was three games where I was RBer, Checker, and vanilla townie.
I was hammered day 1 as RBer and vanilla right after softing pr.
I was hammered day 2 as Checker right after softing tracker.
Theres a quote that describes precisely how I felt. Hold up while I go find it.
2) I preferred double at the time because I felt they were relying way too much on mastina. I didn't feel like they had reads at all and so their vote naturally felt opportunistic
3) The other two wagons in the four weren't favored by consensus.
I've talked to Gloria quite a bit and I've noticed that multiple people have pointed out I have tunnel vision and am super OMGUS-y.
I've decided to bow down to all of Gloria's reads, look from a different perspective, and see what comes of it bc I've been really over the top this game :/
anyways thanks for reading this post if you even did

Mastina...do you like realise I'm probably getting elimmed today anyway? You're just making yourself look worse and worse, and achieving literally nothing because we know the script - if you attack BM, you're town, until BM flips town.

noraa, if Pooky decides I'm dying today, I want you to have the hammer.
It's only right we maintain the tradition.

I...didn't say it wasn't? I'm pretty neutral on Mastina, as I've been saying for a while because:
She does literally this as town, all the time
She is probably capable of doing so as scum too.

Sneakily trying to lobby for people to quick-elim me before Pooky shows up and reads the sentence.
Not the first time I've seen it.

If it's any consolidation: in the entirety of my time on mafiascum, I think there's a grand total of one time where as scum, on D1, I hard-committed to a hard-bus on my scumbuddy: the original XP Mafia, where the scumbuddy was Kokichi Oma and doing so in a cross-bus was a deliberate (and successful) gambit to perfectly divide the town 50-50 in thinking one of us was scum, but not the other, with half thinking it was us and half thinking it was Kokichi.
That game lacked a D1 elimination though and we were confident that our push wasn't enough to actually eliminate Kokichi, anyway.
I've distanced plenty from scumbuddies on D1, especially if the plan was for me to be eliminated by the town. (Pine vs Camn was probably the best example of this; we knew that I was going to go down on D1 so we tried to set it up so that I would go down first and that there was a chance my scumbuddies wouldn't.)
But I almost never hard-bus, and when I do, there's good reason to have done so.
In post 1802, Battle Mage wrote: i know i say this in every mastina game, but the idea someone is "locktown" because they share 1 read with you is...not good.
There's no player in this game who is locktown for sharing one read with me. This does however remind me: it would probably do a lot of good if I typed an indepth post explaining each and every one of my reads (tho I may slack on BM in said list given that around half of my posts are the case for why he's scum this game).
I should probably prioritize catching up before I attempt that though.
In post 1810, Not Known 15 wrote:Does scum-Ircher take this approach if FlavorLeaf asks them to, and if yes, is it likely that FL asks them to?
A scum-Ircher would take this approach if FL asked him to, but FL wouldn't ask him to, at least not at that point in the game given the scum strategy that I am anticipating. This is far more likely to be an independent thought which comes from town.

Funny because until recently and maybe even after that (haven't gotten caught up so don't know the nature of all your content), you'd count as a quieter slot that was acting uncharacteristically low-profile.

I was mostly looking to see if any cross-bussing would happen, and BM did kind of scumread you but when I looked at the pieces around you two I didn't really find anything that really supports a cross-bussing strategy. Maybe I will find something on re-read but right now I just think ur town

Mastina, "until recently"?
The game is like 5 rl days old. I've been posting actively for nearly half that time. I was "uncharacteristically low-profile" whilst on VLA and not posting in the majority of my games, as you have admitted yourself.
I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall.
Hello wall, nice to see ya.

You see this whole situation just reminds me of desperate Noraa in Haunted village where I softed pr on day 1 after replacing in and got hammered right after I got forced to claim and claimed vt.
My heart just empathizes with BM but then my eyes wander over to the 2007 join date and I'm like :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/ :/
*noraa malfunctioning*
I haven't really been present too much lately. Someone talk to me about BM. Paragraph summary of why he's scum and also can someone talk to me about softing pr and why I've had such shit luck with it.

did you just defend battle mage for softing PR but not even read the arguements for why he was being pushed?

My heart empathizes with BM too.
But unfortunately he is mafia. And though he is very good at evoking sympathy, i still stand by my reasoning for why he is scum as correct.
