Echo played fine my only advice would be maybe he should have lied about his night action targets.

Yeah, I think he didn't think through the claim. Also, the ico kill possibly should have been on me, but I would have to think that through more. I get the sense that echo prefers town.

I rerolled some setups that I considered too outrageous to be fun even if they technically were town majorities
Things like mafia, ww, and two SKs which would have been four kills a night. That's just not even mafia at that point.

Even though "there were only three scum" two NKs per night is super strong. This probably would have been a scum win if there was one more miselim.

Next time I’m trying to figure out the odds in an open setup, I’ll keep in mind that mods might just not allow the more extreme outcomes.

I've played a few with lots of scum and they tend towards really weird endgames. The funniest one I remember was an endgame of (mafia, mafia, condemner, townie) with the condemner's target being my mafia buddy. We knew there was another scum as the game wasn't over. Condemner (AurorusVox) was practically begging me to eliminate my buddy, massively hamming it up, and it just became more and more farcical as he came up with more convoluted arguments for why it's definitely my buddy, and I had to pull arguments out my ass for why it wasn't.

My experience doesn't mean as much though, because as i say, you can tolerate imbalance in a 1hr ftf game as it's a bit of fun, in a month long forum game it can feel cheap, I appreciate you tweaking it cakez. Crosskills help but the general setup does remove agency from the town.

I think it was more fun this way than if it had been pure chaos

I mean, this is sort of unusual in that it's a setup where all the roles aren't 100% controlled by the mod so I certainly don't mind a bit of tweaking to make sure we don't waste a month trying to win a game we barely had a chance in.
