I have changed my play recently. I've stopped trying to form reads early and now rely almost entirely on mechanical play. I have a few reads here and there but I don't actively try to sort people. Maybe a reason I seem more confident is my policy on forming reads now is that if I'm not confident in my reads then I don't believe in them. I don't do scum 'leans' and town 'leans' anymore. If my read on someone can be described as a lean, I treat it as null. One thing I will say though is that confidence has always been a tell for me in a certain aspect. If you want to know what it's a tell for, you'll have to properly look at my meta.
