Mala if you want to work together then this has to be the day for working together:
1) I don't think my request about why you picked Gossamer to track is unjustified, so at least help me out with that or definitively say you're not answering it and I'll drop it. I'm not gonna drop it to mollify Titus re: what she is saying I'm trying to do with it because what she was arguing is idiotic
2) You're scumreading Oka for beetlejuicing I see; who else today?
3) What do you think of BP after yesterday?
4) What do you think of Fonz/AK interactions and Fonz/me interactions?
5) How are you feeling on ffery?

I think Nashville needs to make up their minds and stop diagreeing with each other, since I keep pinigng scum on them.
I will treat hydraes as normal players so if you guys keep flipflopping i will act like it is scum since I don't want to go figuring out which head is posting and see a difference between them.
Is cutty and nash the only hyrda?

Baboon's left too.
I was told to come here to receive a gold star (though we don't really have dissonance, especially not in thread dissonance, because I've essentially relegated myself to being a sounding board for bork)

As I said I'm definitely finding baboon a bit scummier now by previously mentioned connections to Honey, both in her posting - the stuff I pointed out in post 2010 - and Baboon's posting - stuff like this:
Baboon saying this of Honey near the end sticks out:
↑Baboon Pride wrote:It's strange to me that HB is becoming a legitimate wagon. I feel like she's your standard low charisma day 1 lynch. Much prefer FT/AK/Nashville. I know I'm not super engaged here, but, it looks to me like we need to start consolidating.
-Ceph
Kind of suggests the wagon is bad, and implies people should 'consolidate' onto other players, without directly attacking the wagon or criticising anyone on it. This is a bad post now we know Honey's scum. Def rather lynch Baboon than Shark, I think.
But I hesitate. It could be buddying/white knighting on Honey's part that Baboon bought; it certainly wouldn't be the only white knighting she did.
Looking at this I really I need to reread (argh)
my only real scumread flipped town.
Clearly reevaluation is in order.
especially as I am already doubting some of these reads.
And it looks like I probably have some incorrect townreads. I tend to have a lot of townreads D1 and often one ends up being wrong, so that doesn't shake me. The question is which one/s.

Can someone explain what beetlejuicing means?

by Cutty Shark
beetlejuicing is when you show up in thread when someone mentions you
if you're talking about when I mentioned it at the top of the page, I misremembered what Mala said anyway - she had said the amished tell, the tell where you ISO your predecessors posts upon replace-in before posting and post about them.
I don't really care about wiki tells in general; I just wanted to know who mala was scumreading and why.

my only shittalk is he made a mess? That ain't shittalking.
I looked a bit, I think he was reacting to FT's post about "honey gives the best chance of hitting scum".
Considering it was a compromise lynch to him (I believe he even says this), I'm not sure what kind of reaction you'd expect from either version alignment from him. Do you want to talk about that?
-b
Yeah, that was the bit I'd just gotten to. I deleted half of the post I was about to make, because it was no longer relevant in the light of what I'd just read. Here's what happens: Anatole says he's sort of wanting to 'go with Fonz' for FourTrouble, asking how close to lynch FT is, while immediately suggesting he'd be willing to vote Honey or IHNC. He votes FT. He then says he'd be willing to vote IHNC just to get all the hydra arguments over. IHNC says 'Vote for us then Nashville tomorrow,' AK goes along. Then the little FT interaction happens, flipping him to Honey.
So part of the 'No impact' stuff is how heavily AK is flagging up 'I'M WILLING TO COMPROMISE!' multiple times. He says it in #1655, which, at the risk of taking another mauling off Shark, is also extremely odd. IHNC says 'Vote FT because Anatole has said he's willing to compromise on this.' Anatole says "I'm willing to compromise." Non-sequitur. Don't understand.
Thing is... FT doesn't actually answer any of Anatole's issues with him. And I don't think it's fair to say that Anatole made clear that
Honey
was a compromise vote. It's more that AK intimated that
FT
was a compromise lynch, he really wanted to lynch Honey who was his 'best gut scum read.' Anatole feels like he's blowing in the wind here. His response today is that he was pretty much happy to lynch either of Honey and FT (or Nashville). The way he reacts to FourT's line of questioning makes me wonder why he had voted FT in the first place... as if he couldn't really defend it, and jumped off as soon as it came under any criticism. We hear that Honey was always his strongest read, but that he was voting because of an impending deadline.
Well Honey hadn't attracted any new votes since AK voted, and while I agree with 4T that 'information' is a terrible and often scummy reason to vote for anyone, the cursory way in which 4T criticises the idea shouldn't be enough to shake anyone who actually believed in the notion. If he were happy to vote Honey as a result of that, it sounds like he should have been voting Honey all along. My model of Town-Anatole was that he was just frustrated with the whole thing and just wanted to get a lynch off. That's not really what he says here.
I am curious if you think that:
1) scum generally gets 1+ member on a team on a scum wagon in a 3 (let's call this 3, most minis are ~3, although the SK possibility is making that less clear) scum game
2) scum generally are found later on in the wagon comp?
Neither. False dichotomy, although I'm not sure you're presenting this as exhaustive.
Voting for scum is inherently townish. Scum, in particular, are drastically less likely to make votes that swing the lynch toward a buddy - my general sense over the time I've been here is that scum tend either to vote their partners early to distance -"I suspected her all along", and vote park to a degree, often moving off at deadline then returning the next morning- or jump along late (Clearly, no particular town cred can be given for fferyllt's vote, or for that matter mine). So votes that are particularly impactful in terms of the relative strengths of wagons get more town cred - see yours and Lissa's. These are usually mid-wagon votes, but can also be late tie-breaking ones. AK's vote was in the kind of position where you'd normally expect it to have a large impact - but for whatever reason, it didn't actually give the wagon any momentum. So it doesn't get that kind of towncred. That's what I mean by 'not straightforwardly town.'

↑The Fonz wrote:Neither. False dichotomy, although I'm not sure you're presenting this as exhaustive.
I'm not even presenting it as mutually exclusive; one kind of leads into the other.
I'm just trying to get your take on how people bus and how you evaluate wagons.
I like the point about momentum and how AK's vote could've built some but didn't, and the only thing that it really seems indicative to me (in hindsight so yeah) is that we had a scum wagon building and some people weren't sure if they were gonna have to bus yet. I don't really think it says anything about him.
@BP: why did you vote fonz where you did?
@Oka: do you have any reasons behind any of your reads?
@Mala: helllooooo?
I'm kinda dismayed at the lull we've got going here.

I do not like the lull. I am trying to reset with Mala but half the players are ignoring the game.
I think Baboon just claimed scum with that vote.

I want an answer to this too. Fonz is in my POE pool and someone I intend to take a closer look at.
