Your flippant tone doesn't do much for you at the gallows, sycko... StrykkerVerde said "Defend yourself of die". This is not the time to insult the rest of us.
sycko999 wrote:As I said all I wanted was some kind of night action, and all of the items I've bought sucked besides the gun.
Not a good reason. Many of us don't have good items. This is like being a Townie in a normal game, and townies have power, too.
I am pretty comfortable lynching you, pending a further lack of an adequate defense on your part... BUT I will continue to withhold my vote from you to prevent you from getting lynched without a REAL defense.
Anyone else have thoughts on sycko's reasons?

I don't find the fact that someone bought a gun or ammo to be suspicous enough to lynch over. In fact, I find it pretty bad logic; why should the town refrain from using every tool at its disposal? I think some of the people pushing this lynch are scum.

I'm curious, sycko, what exactly does the cardboard box do?
Warp, can you do me a favor and give this question to Crola for me?
"What happens if two people with candles would have the nightkill redirected to them?"
Apparently, since I "do not know what the candle does", I cannot get an answer.

Since Iammars brought this up, I will explain. I will not reveal what Items do until you buy them. That's like asking me, "What's Crola's role?"
It's information I can't reveal, remember, Items are like Roles.
Also, while I'm at it.

I wasn't insulting you, you freakin idiot. I'm sorry, when the town is made up mostly of idiots I get agitated. And when the town asks me the same thing over and over again, lets get it right this time:1 - I have no power, I haven't had power for almost every game I've played in, so when I can have a power, I want to buy it, but you are all idiots. 2 - I don't know what the box does, I said that, don't ask again. 3 - Can't any of you see that Lordkrishna is behind this? He is placing all the suspicion on me, along with Kle, Lord purposely went against Kle with the ammo to show his innocence. That is just a theroy, but it is most likely right. Also, sorry for the insultingness, but some of you(I won't say who) really need to learn how to use a brain. Iammers, if two people have the candle they both die, I would think. Now, does anyone else have any stupid questions or are we going to lynch scum?

It's automatic.
Unvote: Kle, vote: Locus
, IS is mean sometimes, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's a good player, if lynches were based on attitude then the games will get no where. You seem experinced enough to know that, yet you can't find a better reason to lynch me. I am at least trying to help the town as my last action, while you, Locus, haven't helped the town.

Do you know who you're talking to, sycko? I adamantly oppose suffering IS to live, and I am of the opinion that his reputation as an excellent player is essentially unfounded. Saying, "well I'm just acting like IS" is
not
going to get you off the hook with me.
Warpdragon also raises a good question. For all that you claim that Lord Krishna is the evil mastermind behind everything, you don't seem particularly willing to vote him. Shouldn't your vote reside with whom you want to lynch, rather than the most recent person to piss you off?

I have always been on the fence about sycko (due to the cardboard box), but I have made up my mind. sycko, I know you're on right now, so post your "final" post. Otherwise I will vote you when I get off (probably in a half-hour.)

I sense some tension amongst the players, at first it was funny and dripping with sarcasm, but now it's getting a little edgier, calm down guys.

I voted for Locus because he is an idiot, and it wouldn't matter who I voted for because you're all going to waste a lynch on the one person the mod has a grudge against. I'm done fighting, because you all won't listen to reason. Just turn off the stupid sections of your brains and lynch the scum, not the priest.

All right, I go away during the daytime, and I find a "bunch of freakin' idiots" squabbling, and making no sense.
First off, sycko, and Locust -- I am hardly the "evil mastermind" behind the current bandwagon on sycko.
Sycko made a move that I thought was suspicious as ALL hell (purchasing a gun immediately after kleimar's ammo purchase saga). I placed ONE vote on him (the first vote!). Afterwards, a bunch of scum may have jumped on, but to PREVENT this, I took off my vote.
In fact, I will not be placing the lynch vote on you, sycko, EVEN THOUGH you are lashing out at random, and voting for people based on useless reasons. Your tone is irksome, and does not at all befit that of a man of the cloth. I suggest you do some penance, a confessional, whatever is necessary to calm you down enough to start rationally approaching the problem. (What *is* the problem, ask some people out there -- THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE KILLING OUR TOWN!!) Let's fix that, then worry about who is playing stupidly, or who is not as smart, or who's momma is the biggest slut, or whatever... <smile>
Locus, same goes for you (barring the bits pertaining to prests) -- your stated reason for your vote on sycko is:
Locus Cosecant [230] wrote:I don't want to have to put up with your attitude, if nothing else.
This, to me, is just as stupid a reason to vote as Warpdragon's in his post voting for meaningoflife42:
warpdragon [125] wrote:Even if you turn out to be town, I really dislike having stupid players. This is bad even for you.
(What did you mean by "even for you", btw, Warp? I'm just curious -- is mol not a good player in general or something? I haven't been in enough games yet where I've seen the same players twice!)
Oh, and while I'm up here on my pulpit (or soapbox, I really suppose!), Sycko, when you insult the Town as a whole, you insult every member of it. (It's that wonderful small-town mentality that allows us to lynch the scum!).
-K
P.S. I thought I'd try to get us into a slightly more peaceable state of mind, and move on. Please do not lynch me for any lame jokes or puns that may be found above. They are to make people smile, hug, and stop tying nooses. (at least for now...)

While I agree with you that it is not clear that buying a gun makes you scum, I do NOT agree that we should allow anyone that wants one to buy it. Why, you ask?
I cite YOU, in your response to StrykkerVerde's idea of appointing a vigilante:
CoolBot [192] wrote:Strykker, that's a terrible idea. The problem with designating someone a vig is the mafia will know who it is, and will takes steps to neutralize it.
By extension of this principle, of course, you mean that if people openly buy guns, then the Mafia knows about it, and can neutralize the threat. Which means, they might loot the body that very night for a second kill! (Safe to assume that guns kill people, yes?)
And of course, let me add that there is absolutely no guarantee that the person buying the gun isn't scum, as we don't know who they are -- meaning, of course, that we should not allow ANYONE to buy a gun, on the grounds that that person could kill us next turn!

Ahem, despite the fact that this was all in good humor, it's a "bad" word. Please refer to rule 1.
Rule 1 wrote:1) No foul language or insults . . .
I'd rather we have the cleanest language we can, and I think this is also a general rule for the site as well.
Now, we all know the "bad" words, so I won't write a list of them for you. If there's another small slip up like this, I won't say anything, but if it's a growing problem, I'll have to do something. Alos, if there are major insults being directed at other players, or me, I'll probably Modkill, so just keep this in mind.

Krishna, I disagree with your logic about not allowing anyone to buy a gun. There is one known gun around and I would rather have it in the hands of a person we chose to trust with it than to have it bought on the black market the next day and getting the weapon in the hands of scum. Though we have to be careful with thieves of course.
I also find it a bad idea that one person buys an item of that power without consulting the town first. I mean if you buy a gun you effectively become a claimed vigilance without the certainity of you being non-scum, I find it better that such a person is only allowed to make a nightkill if there is some consensus in the town about the target. I find it a little too dangerous to give the vigilance free chose of the target, but find it a bit wasteful to simply not use it should the situation demand it.

Let's examine Lord Krishna's behavior. He started the sycko bandwagon. He got off when it picked up steam. And he refuses to cast the lynching vote, despite arguing to lynch sycko (buy arguing we should get get rid of anyone buying a gun). This is scum trying to direct the town. He should be the one we lynch.

CoolBot wrote:[LordKrishna] started the sycko bandwagon.
As I pointed out earlier, I voted initially, and this bandwagon happened over the course of less than 1 (non-game) 24-hr. day, while I wasn't around. That's hardly what I would say 'started the bandwagon'. I pointed out that he bought a gun, which EVERYONE could see. Three or four (don't remember how many ppl. -- gotta leave for work, look up later) people JUMPED on a bandwagon saying "Me too". I've taken off MY vote, but they haven't . Mafia jump onto bandwagons. It's an easy way to add numbers to a vote on a Townie.
CoolBot wrote:And he refuses to cast the lynching vote, despite arguing to lynch sycko (buy arguing we should get get rid of anyone buying a gun)..
I'm not voting for sycko, because I don't argue that we should lynch anyone trying to buy a gun -- I advocate NOT ALLOWING anyone to buy a gun (we have already done this in sycko's case), unless we have some way of proving them innocent. I don't see a way of doing this, do you? My initial vote on sycko was a pressure vote, a way of forcing him to answer my question ("What's your game?"). I now simply think it was a poor choice on his part to buy a gun, NOT scummy behavior (this is why I don't want to vote for his lynching).
The way you worded that was interesting -- "refuses to cast the lynching vote". This implies that you believe I should cast the lynching vote. Why would a Townie be eager for another Townie to get lynched, CoolBot? Either you believe sycko999 is scum, and therefore
you
should vote to lynch him, or you are scum, and you want sycko999, a Townie, lynched. Either way, you're looking pretty scummy.
Between this, and your reversal on the point I mentioned in the last post, about StrykkerVerde's plan of "appointing" a vig, I feel confident in placing a vote on you.

Krishna, I never said I though sycko was scum, so why would I lynch him? You found him suspicous, voted him, but won't lynch him. That's contradictory, and often a sign of scum. Not to mention, you were the first to bring up no lynch on day 1.

But if we give the weapon in someones hands and forbid him to use it without our consent. If he kills someone else he will be lynched the next day. Only problem is will we be able to tell from the deathscene wether the kill was made with a gun?

LordKrishna: MoL has a problem with hyper-activeness, spamming, and in real life (I've met him- hes syckos cousin) he's... um how can I saying this without insulting him as per rule one? He has many great qualities far above his intelligence (what those qualities are I dont know.) For example he's supposed to be moving into the town that Sycko, Crola, and I live in and he is the same age as us but will be a grade behind.
