Everyone else needs to start posting, btw. Ven gets a pass as he's on V/LA, but last I checked Whisky, absta, and myself weren't the only players here.

Based on what?
Also, at what time before were you "down" for a lynch of PM?
And if you're really that bored, go find another game where you might be scum.
This suggests you believe Loran to be town even though you want to lynch him. Why would you give him this advice if you think he's scum?
↑ Voidedmafia wrote:Going over PM, I still don't like him. His attempted ignorance of (apparantly) how VCs work doesn't read as honest ignorance (I mean, if you've been in 5 freaking games here, all the VCs work the same way). The rest of his short ISO doesn't allevate anything I have against him.
↑ absta101 wrote:Okay, i'll answer now. Tell me if I miss anything.
Here is you accepting that he's answered. Right?
absta101 wrote:No you haven't.
Lynch-all...
And... did you forget?
Also, you only answered a few new questions, not any of my previous ones.
absta101, 219 wrote:@Whiskers
Your questions do nothing to determine alignment but I will have to answer regardless.
Be warned. From now on I will skip questions I find pointless. I'm not going to satisfy your need to argue with someone constantly.
I thought you'd already been doing this, since you won't answer questions I've asked a long, long, long time ago, instead deciding to post useless fluff like, "This game is so messed up right now!"
I will prune points I think don't need attention, or that have been covered, from the quote-replies. It's my way of saying, "OK, I see," or "This is no longer relevant or game-related."
absta101, 219 wrote:
Can you like a game and still not want to post in it?
Fair enough, you could.
Which alignment do you think follows this more often?
Busy.

To me myself?
Sure. Or to somepony else. Things like, "Do you like this game" don't seem meaningful to me.

Basic scumhunting explanation:
In my experiene, the key to finding scum, or at least one of them, is to catch them at the time they are most likely to act like scum. Common sense would dictate that these times would include: the very beginning of the game (scum have not yet fully taken on their role as pretending to be town and are too focused on trying too hard to pretend to be town) and directly after a night (this is less useful usually then the prior, but sometimes it's fruitful because scum returned to being scum at night and have to come back during the day to their town disguise and sometimes slip up). The longer a day goes on, the more a player can fall into their town disguise, even if they have a scum role PM. As the game goes on, scummy players will even start sounding like town. Therefore, yes, I find early reads to be important. While they shouldn't necessarily be the premise of a case, they are great supporting evidence.
Whiskers comes off as awful as possible. He comes out accusing people of being scum based on when they confirmed. This has nothing to do with being scum as most mods will generally wait for most all, if not all, players to confirm before starting play. Therefore, his "tell" of scum holding up the game is false. It is a sign however of coming out of the gate flailing and accusatory.
Also, he feels the need to explain who he is not RVing and why which seems like he's defending something no one would have even brought up which is squirmish and bad behavior.
His reason for voting Venrob also comes off as odd to me because Venrob merely pointed out that he was factually wrong in his statement and he took that as "defending" and deemed it worthy of a vote. Not liking Whiskers' play thus far.
Venrob comes off as noobish trying to gain attention with his backwards text stunt. But this is not a scumtell as much as a noobtell. As is his apology to the town for doing nothing. Though this might be more of a scumtell for a noob as he is asking for the forgiveness of the town to try and please them. (This differs from Mysterious' apology because Mysterious made a miscaluclation in her count so an apology makes sense.)
And looking back, Loranthaceae voted everyone else, had the slightest disagreement from someone in the town, and quickly switched opinions and waffled by unvoting everyone in her next post. This is not good.
I wouldn't be surprised in the least if 2 of the scum lied in these three people and am practically positive that one of the scum does.

I
already
have reason to doubt you. It's my experience that most mods do
not
wait for all of the players to confirm before starting the game. I rolled my eyes when I found out that we had to have all but one player confirm, because that's way too many, imo, and more than usual, ime.
IF you were correct, it would mean my reason for voting was even better: If the mod waits for all players to confirm before starting the game, then the scum can just stall confirming indefinitely, allowing pre-game scum-talk and postponing the game's start.
Why Random Vote when you have a slightly-better reason? Even if it's possibly flawed-- "voting because you didn't confirm and may be scum trying to stall the game" is no less valid than "'random' voting because you didn't confirm"

PMysterious' play is noobish at best, but not scummy. Demanding that he is town and not scum and offering to help find scum and claiming vanilla townie when there are only townies in the game might seem like he's flailing and overdefensive, but to me, it's common noob play when under pressure.
Venrob's unvotes don't make sense to me.
Whiskers continues to press the confirmation stage issue which is ridiculous and not even an issue as the mod clearly posted the game would start when 8\9 confirmed. Also, just because he corrected you does not mean he defended anyone (for the second time).
Voidedmafia's vote on PMysterious actually reads as pro-town even though I personally think PMysterious is just noob. He doesn't understand what the hell PMysterious is talking about, because it really is incoherent, and places a vote on him for that reason. And he called him out for being overdefensive, as he may have seemed even though I disagree again.
Shadow's vote is scummy. Voided's reaction to this is still protown.
Loran's vote is also bad, but not really scummy as she seems to still think we're in RVS which is a understandable mistake for a noob.

I'm starting to think you might be just really paranoid town who was very incorrect when you came out the gate swinging.
Voided is very protown, as said above, thus far.

Was reading another game.
Apparently PM is another policy-lynch-type. a Whiny, I-have-no-points-but-I'll-call-you-scum, OMGUSing, lurking, scummy VI who could either be scum or town, but refuses to play the game, favouring insults over scumhunting.

Woah, you can't use on-going games as part of your posts. I would play the game if I was able to keep up.
Sorry for my lack of posts, I will try to get back in it.

What game is this?
Absta: If she's scum, we'll most likely go straight to D2 (or this part of D1 will continue); if she's town, we automatically go to night.
