Policy lynches to me are considered scummy.
Sometimes they are justified, but other times they are just unfair.

I'll PL lurkers, but that's about it. Plus the lurkers have to do it more when scum rather than town.

That wasn't really Mollie's point though -- the point was that Majiffy's #210 seems to indicate that Aether was more a policy lynch than that thing about "reading role PMs => scum" which seems contradictory.

Like I said it depends on whom it is.

Example: a player lurks more as scum rather than town. If they show that same decision in the game we are playing and the case is justified beyond a shadow of a doubt, I'll vote them.

If the PL is because someone doesn't like them or their play style I won't vote them.

Make sense now?

Sure. That's more a meta case than a PL but I see no need to argue semantics.

re: policy lynches. I don't want to spend too much time on this and derail the game but on very rare special occasions do I agree with them. majiffy doesn't go around willy nilly policy lynching without good reason. I would have supported him even though he didn't do shit to help me with jerome on another site.

Last survivor, upon rereading Fizz's iso, not only is he not actually answering the initial 'are you scum?' question, but he also isn't both scum hunting and defending himself. His posts are all concerned with replying to the accusations from others, to the point where he has yet to place a vote of any kind. I find that anti-town enough to be good with my vote where it is for now.

My read on the Majiffy-Aether situation would be that it wasn't a policy lynch situation until Aether's site record came fully to light. If Majiffy were scum trying to get Aether taken down as an easy target either for his bizarre actions or his track record, his recusing himself from the situation doesn't follow. I read Majiffy as leaning town based on that.

Re-read the game, and lol @ Majiffy being replaced because he doesn't like a player, and then coming back. It makes me think that all the Aether suspicion wasn't scum, but it's just all bias against him. I have all of those reads against his slot as null and not even remotely game-related.

Fizz got quiet REAL quick after the bandwagon built. I think you defend the **** out of yourself, but if it's his first game, I see that as newb town who got scared to die and stopped posting so much. Majiffy pointed out KMD's case on Fizz. I'll buy that. KMD's flip buys Majiffy's flip, and probably Fizz's flip too. I don't see Majiffy going out of his way to defend someone he doesn't know his alliance of.

I've played with Mala before, he knows wtf he's doing in this game. I have him as town.

@Bork and Mollie: Why is Breakfast scummy, I'm only getting a weak (in the sense of them not being good at it) attempt to scumhunt.

Best place for my vote now. Rationale is pretty much what other people have been saying. End of post #44 doesn't seem like it's been posted from a town perspective, and he really hasn't addressed that point.

Whats the rationale behind Kmd lynch?

Breakfast is scummier than Kmd -- pretty much for 116 and 169. 116 parrots a dubious accusation from Majiffy to hop on Aether, and 169 gives the impression that there's nothing Aether could've said that would have let him off the hook.

#119 is not a defense of Fizz, it is an indictment of Kmd, who I think has gotten better since I made that post. Fizz hasn't done anything since except avoid the thread and the little bit of IIoA in #160.
