50/50 chance on night one? That's not unfair unless I'm missing something.

No, Coolbot. I'm saying if you claimed someone LIKE Aquaman. Like Supergirl or something like that. I remember a JL that had Supergirl in it once, I think.

You are Superman, roving reporter and defender of Metropolis(Morpheus)
Lately, you've had trouble making your lines to the Daily Planet. Luckily, you get it way up here. You can investigate one person a night, and can write a cover story for the paper 3 times.
You win when all baddies are gone.

You are Batman, eternal protector of am City(ZONEACE)
Your latest gadgets have just been transported to the via Alfred. You can send one of the following gadgets to a player every night:

Some of these roles changed (probably for the worst)but that's ok

I intended Aquaman to be a traitor because thats what happens in the storyline, according to Cartoon Network
i intended Lex to be a roleblocker specifically for Superman
Lex's power was to block the cover stories using Kryptonite to weaken Supaman
I also had Gorilla Grodd, Solomon Grundy, and I think I had Shade in there
I was also going to use some of the stuff from trouble in the toybox but change the characters around Like if Wonder Woman protected Supaman theyd fall in love and so on and so on
And i also tried to figure out who i could use a emoticon with like with Elmo

Since the success of JLMafia I've been thinkin of a sequel Like
JL RELOADED if enough people want it i'll start planing it

I just read the whole game, and I have to say that if you want the next game to be a success, try to balance the game. You can do that by either giving the mafia powers or by giving the town disadvantages, like I did on my mini, where the secondary objective of 2 players was to kill each other (both pro-town). Never put a pro-town role that can't be killed. You could of done that on even nights the player can't get killed, and that would be fair.

Finally, concerning claims, make it so there is space in the JL for claims. use only 4 characters from the JL for the town. You can even do it so 4 are good, and 3 JL members are evil, and then the other roles you just make up. That way, when the mafia roleclaims they know exactly what to claim.

PS: considering that the town won in record time, I wouldn't say the game was a success.

i did try to convince bloojay that the greenlantern needed to have some kind of restriction, like he has to go to Wal-Mart every other day to pick up some batteries for his ring

Next time though im thinking of continuing this like making it a seriesn and seeing which characters last longer like keep the winning characters from one game and put them in the next and so on until i can't think of anymore characters, or i could make a themed normal and include most of the people that have been shown in any episode like the Justice guild or the blackhawks and maybe some of the main characters sidekicks like robin, The original flash

ahhfahgetaboutit i'm doin a superhero normal now all based around the JL but of course you'll have to help me with balancing maf. and town

I'll play in the next if the mafia will get abilities.

Pssh, and you forgot the Green Lantern ;)

You are the Green Lantern.
Using your energy ring, you are able to do many great things. Unfortunately, you can't really think of them right now. All that you fell like doing is protecting yourself at night.
You have immunity to night kills, and win when the baddies are gone.

When I read this at the beginning of the game, when you said "you can't really think of them right now", it sounded like if someone found me (like if Superman had investigated me) then I would remember them and get a whole bunch of abilities.

You had my hopes up soooo high!

well, I think the game was a little unbalanced. Maybe next time make it a theme game so there will be more people in it and it might be a little more balanced. Well if you make a new JL mafia I'll play in it. (Especially if its a theme game  )

If you went 30 person themed...

It's funny I was getting all ready to lie about my role so I would get killed by the mafia, but then night suddenly ended and I got killed anyways. :)

I'd say 2 evil killing groups, probably two-3 people mafia would be a fair balance, but it really depends on the abilities you give the town. There are many ways of balancing a game, putting both weak and strong roles in the game. One thing I can tell you for sure, make it 30 players, and if you want to get a really enjoyable game going, both for you and your players, ask for help from an experienced player (experienced in modding, not playing, so don't ask me :) ) that is not interested in playing but would like to help with the setup, and be a backup mod if you go missing. That's what I did with my first game, which wasn't really extremely balanced, but both town and mafia had a fair chance of winning.

Finally, eventhough you have 78 characters, what really matters is how many characters you or the person helping you can make up roles for.

well im definetly not doing it with bloojay again so would PolarBoy be a good choice?

awww, you don't like me anymore blackhawk?
Actually, you probably would be better off with somebody else, because i have had no modding experience yet. CS may be a good evaluator, he has helped me do some evaluating on the forthcoming Product Mascots Mafia and has given some excellent input.

i think i'm going to get some help from PolarBoy cuz he can make really good roles and hes pretty funny

If you're taking suggestions, I'd suggest mixing up the roles a bit so that it's not just JL=good, non JL=bad. The guy that looks like Superman is actually Bizarro Superman, for instance. There are other villians in the JL who can be villians without being scum in the game, necessarily, either. Solomon Grundy comes immediately to my mind. I also agree that with everyone in the JL having a super cool ability, it was a little unbalanced against the scum. Of course, we played horribly, which didn't help matters any.

All of this said, this was a fun game while it lasted, good job and congrats on modding.

or reverse flash and cat man and yellow lantern. solomon grundy is probably one of the coolest villains today you can get a bio of most all the characters in any episode, Villains here and Main Characters here and Other Characters here
