Understandable, but you joined this game in order to play in it. You're going to have to do better than commenting solely on one player for whom nobody else is even toying with voting, because right now you are accomplishing nothing for the town. And you're going to have to do better pretty soon.

His Rach reasoning is all right to be fair. He should have commented on it earlier though, because it's starting to make me paranoid.

Of course I'm going to play the game, but when Youngster Joey wants to battle, he's going to get a battle, kk?

@Marquis, have you ever played Rach when she was town?

Open 514 Mason and Monks (I was a Monk along with Mala who turned out to be scum)

http://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=30057

He ended up replacing out of the game. Diginova replaced in.

This is the only other completed game I have with him, since marathon games do not count.

I think that other people who are playing who are far more familiar with me have a better handle on me.

As for Newbie 1395, I was the IC there. I can find games around the same time where I was town and I was dealing with RL issues.

Also seems rather OMGUSy considering I feel his pred (Squilly) was scum.

Thanks Rach.

@Marquis, when you are referring to Rach's meta, what games were you thinking about specifically? Was it the one that Rach mentioned? Can you give an example of a "towny" Rach post?

Which four players? Why do you have the reads you have on those players?
JasonWazza: Slightly scummy because of what he's done so far (i.e. nothing but claim that he has a scumread and that he'll elaborate later). To be honest I feel like I should consider him null until he actually elaborates, but I feel his attitude about it (especially early on) is anti-town at best.
LnGrrrR: Slightly town because...don't know to be honest, it's mostly an aggregate of extremely slightly town posts.
Fegelein: Slightly town for the same reason as LnGrrrR (i.e. basically gut).
Squilly: Currently of the opinion he's newbietown, since I think someone with claimed offline experience would put a bit more work into learning how to be town online.
Easy reads apart fom maybe LnGrrrR. Also, how can something be extremely slightly? That doesn't make any sense.
I use numbers to quantify my reads on posts and players. "Extremely slighty" means my read on a post/player is basically null but with one or two points towards town or scum.

Lazy.
Lazy? Yeah probably, but I didn't exactly have time to look anything over in depth while I was packing up for a four-hour drive.

Now that that's over, I can say for sure that yeah Stubbs is pretty scummy. The case in currently has me convinced; in particular stands out to me as awful. But I won't be voting him until he can reply to all this.

Tempted to put Stubbs at L-1. Much as I thought Squilly was scummy, and Marquis is pinging oddly, that Stubbs and LnGrrrR are on the wagon makes me uneasy. Whereas I like nearly all of the Stubbs wagon participants. Will see what Stubbs has to say when he gets back in here.

penguin alien wrote:Stubbs, what's your rationale for voting Squilly-slot over JasonWazza?
Pressure votes don't seem to work on Jason.
Amrun wrote:In addition, I'd like to point out that he changed Rach out of "leaning scum" SOLELY because she produced a list of reads, which shows that he associates it with towncred.
I don't. I think she's town because of LnG being on her town side. He reads as frustrated town to me, and I like the fact that I see it confirmed by someone else.
Amrun wrote:-Stubbs produces reads list out of thin air
True, if you read the first line, I admitted I was having a hard time getting proper reads. I hadn't done much at that time, and I felt the list could get me more involved in the game, if there was any reaction to come to it.
LnG wrote:@Stubbs, why did you ask Oriole if he was town in your first post? When have you played with him before?
Only one finished game with him. I like him a lot as town, as I said before. If you want I can search it for you.

In post 200, ChannelDelibird wrote: His reads list makes almost no sense at all. I can see no reason to have different reads on me and Amrun by that stage, for example. The oriole townread is weird - says he likes his readslist but it's quite different to Stubbs's and the rest of it is because he
wants
him to be town? That's the sort of thing you make up after the fact to explain your behaviour, not that you actually use to inform your reads. Then there's the fact that he even made a readslist at all -
the fact that he's offered no actual opinions or even actual suspicion up to this point
mean that he can't be held accountable for the internal process of his reads and the fact that it comes after two other people just did (one of whom he is calling 'leaning scum' in that very post) makes it look like he's doing it to fit in, rather than because he wants to voice his opinion.

This (to Jason) is what you say to someone you're null on who you want to talk so that you can get a read, not someone you already suspect is scum for not participating. If Stubbs were town here, he'd just be calling Jason scum.
I have specified that I had trouble reading Amrun. I don't see why you two should be considered the same. Your scumhunting seemed more genuine than Amrun's. But I wasn't sure of it.
Oriole usually brings something new to the table, something others don't see or fail to mention. He did that in his reads list as well(his read on penguin alien, Toomai, me). I don't have a history of gathering people who have the same reads I have. I usually like those who give me good reasons to doubt my own reads better.

The reason I provided the reads list is exactly the bolded. I had trouble getting into the game.

I'm a bit weirded out by Jason's behaviour. My first game ever on this site, Jason was the one who was forcing everybody else to participate. The fact that he refuses to do so now, could mean he's scum, but it could also mean he's onto something with Amrun, as he claims.

I'm happy with my vote on Marquis. He's provided a vote on Rach because of meta reasons. And called Fegelein scum.

He hasn't even commented on anything that has happened in this game.

People replace in and get distracted by stuff just the same as they get distracted by stuff when they join a game normally. Getting distracted isn't an alignment tell. Faking being distracted is, but I don't see any reason not to take him at his word yet.

@Stubbs, I think town has waited long enough for Jason to provide something. He hasn't really done anything this game at all; his last post with actual content was Tuesday. That said, Im pretty sure he is town, but the pack of content is frustrating.

Really not liking Fferry's vote on Stubbs. In post 206, she says:
In post 206, fferyllt wrote:
I did a comparison of Stubb's and oriole's reads lists after Stubbs replied to my question. I thought their lists had enough similarities to account for Stubbs liking the list. Some of your other points are pretty relevant. I have made comments in games about wanting a particular player to be town before. As town. I get flack for it, but when I think it could indicate some bias on my part I throw it out there. Players that I want to be town are usually the players I am most paranoid about.

One thing from metadiving stubbs for other games - he usually puts down pretty solid trajectories on his early votes/unvotes. Not seeing that here.
Mostly defense of Stubbs, with a slight "out" at the end. Then, post 207, Syryana says, "Pedit2: You know you want to vote Stubbs nao, fery."

To which Ffery responds in 208 with:

Yep. Checking vote count. And it's 3

Vote: Stubbs
If you actually felt Stubbs was scummy, why didnt you vote him post 206? Why defend his views, then turn around and vote him 2 posts later? Syr didn't even give you a reason to change your mind, and you didn't list any when you voted. Feels pretty scummy.

The short answer is because Syr.

The long answer is that I am pretty deliberative about setting down and picking up my vote, and I had planned to stew on it for another hour or two when I made my post. I picked at the stuff I disagreed with in Channel's post and added something that I think is an additional argument for scum-Stubbs.

Syr and I hydra together a lot lately, and I've been playing more games as Rift Adrift than I have as fferyllt. I have a fairly detailed town-Syr model. This is town-Syr. He came to the snap decision to vote Stubbs at the same time (and over the same post) that I did what passes for a snap-decision in feryland, e.g., yeah I like stubbs for scum but I want to think about it for a while first. That was more than enough for me to say fuck it and vote.
