Even bigger lurker? You had 8 posts at the time of that as opposed to the 4 that he has made.
Also, I've seen other games in which ASP has been a chronic lurker, so that's a factor too.

The reason that makes it a little townier than not is that he naturally has more to fear from the two hydrae if he's scum and posting "AAAAH! I'M SO AFRAID OF STRONG PLAYERS!" would be strange from ASP as scum in that it's either disingenuous and cheeky or ballsy.
