I'm not going to jump on the Raya wagon, for now, she is a town lean for me. Post is a good analysis that goes mostly along my views. Posts and are wall-ish-y but are great counterpoints to the quotes in the huge boxes, especially her answer to .
I also like the fact she's unvoting, I do that a lot between switching votes so it matches my playstyle.
Right now I'm sticking to bji.

I hope Flubber gets replaced. Killing the slot gives us one less lynch by putting us in Mylo Day 3 instead of Lylo Day 4. Can someone confirm this? I wanna know if I got it right.

explain why you think it's lylo day4?

I assume 7 townies 2 scums for 9 players, I come from a 10 player that was 8-2.
So if we're lucky to catch a scum in the first three days, it will be 2 vs 1 for Day 4?

Replaced
Day 1: 7-2
Day 2: 6-1 let's assume we're lucky right off the bat
Day 3: 4-1
Day 4: 2-1 <--- Lylo?

Modkilled
Day 1: 6-2
Day 2: 5-1 lucky on first day
Day 3: 3-1 <----Mylo?

I'm pretty sure I got the Lylo right, it's the Mylo I'm not sure about. Never happened to me so far.

I checked my 3 newbie games and they were a 7-2 split too, like I thought. Has anyone seen a very different ratio? I only played newbies and minis.
I'm not sure I'm ready for large. Are they harder?

I have thought about replacing out. But given this possibility, consider that possibility null and void. So that means I have to carve some time from somewhere to try and do my part.

My impression of Raya36 on reread is a someone sorting thru their reads.
bji? Aggressive play style trying to find a direction to explore.
Neither give me enough to move them from the null pile at this time.

But I'll reread as soon as I satisfy my employer with actual work.

On bji:

The original push on Clemency was good because it got us out of rvs. It was definitely reachy but that's ok at that stage of the game.

I like that he's asking sash's opinion in . It shows that he is interested in the opinion of others and also trying to engage other players so we can get reads.

Good that he called out Irrelephant's readlist but the scum or worthless towny claim doesn't settle too well with me. Especially the 'kill it either way'. He has a point in his arguments but they are reachy. Based on his explanations though I suppose this could just be his playstyle.

His defense posts and explanation make sense.

His read on me is reachy. Especially the theory. The point about my inconsistency isn't bad though. I'm not going to spend too much time analyzing this though

So on a read through nothing he does is necessarily scummy but nothing jumps out to me as towny either besides progressing the game. So I'll settle on a null town read.

ah ok i see what you're thinking
assuming 7:2, 5way lylo (ie 2 scum v 3 town) happens day3
if the slot gets modkilled and is town, 6way mylo (ie 2 scum v 4 town) happens day2 (ie tomorrow)

if one scum gets lynched before that, 3way lylo (ie 1 scum and two town) happens day4
and 4way mylo (ie 1 scum and 3 town) happens day3

all newbie games are 9 players, and are split 7:2

9player in the normal queue is pretty much always going to be 7:2 i think
but i think in the micro queue, they might be more relaxed and have something like 7T:1Scum:1Traitor or 7T:1Scum:1SK or something; i've played a game in the micro queue that was a specific 6:3 setup

i personally don't like larges super much; there's a little bit too much going on for me in such big games, and last too long irl for me too
minis are just about the perfect size for me

I've never played with a traitor so... I couldn't take it into account. I had to look it up, kinda funky-looking rules to me. If there is one, this would be a nightmare to me.
The SK (serial killer I assume after a quick research) is considered
normal
too. That role is hard to win!
I've played only 6 games and never saw one or the other, so I didn't think those two roles possible, I assumed plain scum.
A 6-3 setup must have had a ton of town PR I guess.... that ratio is a bit low. I'll assume it is possible here, so we'reeither a 6-3, a 7-2 or some weird 7-1-1. This doesn't help me at all. :(

Sorry about the above, I'm a math teacher and I like to have a good canvas of the game.
Is our mod susceptible of putting one of those weird roles in, you think?

the setup of games in the normal queue is fairly regulated/undergoes a fair amount of oversight; there's rules that game designers must follow in order for the game to be ran in the normal queue
In post 623, implosion wrote:Now taking signups: Lady Angel's 9-player mini normal. Please /in for mini to sign up.
Note: Pre-designed setup, designed by Ircher.
this game wasn't designed by the mod, but rather by someone named Ircher who has a fair amount of experience designing games, and it's been checked by a reviewer to make sure it isn't too weird

i'm pretty sure that sk isn't considered normal for minis anymore; i don't remember if there's an explicit rule for traitor but i don't *think* that's a thing that would happen in a game this size either tbh

i think 7:2 is a safe assumption unless we see compelling evidence otherwise tbh

you can read more about normal roles/setups here: https://forum.mafiascum.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=76192

Of those mentioned, I've only seen a vigilante (I got killed!) and multitasking. But it was very informative, as I realize I still don't know much about this game.
Thanks for taking the time to explain!

so many questions ....

are you scumreading me? did you vote me for the lols? why did you think that would prevent boredom (ie did you think i was going to respond in a particular way)? why are you voting reaper now? what happened to your raya vote?

The gamestate felt dead, and I knew that voting someone I'd said was "definitely town" was likely to get some reactions going
Sashaddin ignored it, which is sorta odd but not that AI, and your response is probably the same as you'd make regardless of alignment, so I decided holding onto the vote on you wasn't doing anything (and you questioning it would probably reduce the strength of any reactions anyone else would have)
So now I'm voting someone else I think might be scum, because while I still suspect raya I don't think the staleness of the gamestate is good for town and I believe in this town's ability to return to wagoning raya soon if reaper gets townier and raya does not

I was at work at that time and focused on trying to learn new roles/structures of the game. My Excel sheet with all my arrows and matrixes is at home, so I didn't have your views available either to notice you were voting a townie of yours.
I must also say that I don't usually respond to an absence of idea... (is this what is called "naked voting"?)

I approve of your noble intentions!
This game is definitely the slowest I've played so far. :dead:

Not much, since it's slow. Here's what I got:
Town or town lean: Clemency Garmr Raya
Scum lean: bji
Irrelephant is in both of the above
Can't tell anything from the other slots. I'm never good on Day 1 anyways, I need to see who gets killed to get to solve the game. Last game, I had to go back to Day 2 to find what I wanted, and it was day 4. Made the right decision though! :)
