In post 208, T-Bone wrote:Like, this is really weird from the standpoint that maxwell and Dunnstral are scum together. So there's that.
Just overall is a weird plan as both alignments. The best lynch for scum!maxwell is Dunnstral, as it ensures maxwell goes to LyLo. Weird as town though, because from any town perspective, you already get to eliminate two people because of Celeste. I can see not being concerned with survivability, but if you're town you'd rather be the nightkill, no?
Right, were I scum with Dunnstral I'd either be bussing the hell out of him or self-voting, as either of us dying day 1 is optimal. Being nightkilled/lynched doesn't make a difference, because of the setup town is able to force the N2 kill from scum to be on a particular player (and the N3 kill, if you play it right). If I'm not confidently townread I'm willing to take myself out of the mix as long as it also takes out someone I scumread. Voting out rozy then T-bone means I die n2 for the exact same board outcome, but it means a loss if the Cat Scratch slot is mafia with one of {guilty, clover, blair} and between the CSF slot and you I want CSF gone far more.

I talked it over with myself and I think at this point I have no reason to not lynch the bottom row because I townread the middle and if the team is exactly Max/GE in theory it can still be lynched at 5p. So, one of Dunnstral/Beeboy today. Ye?

If you can free me from this death tunnel I'm all ears, but I'm having a hard time seeing Max's posts as coming from town in good faith.
Max has little to no people he can be partners with in my eyes. The only way we'd lose to Max scum in your eyes is if 1 of me/T-bone are scum. Are you worried about that?

Why are we ruling out GuiltyLion? Am I missing something obvious?

I'm not following you here - what are you saying?
The benefit to scum reading an adjacent corner is I would hypothetically be an easier push then maxwell.

(Because if the 5p has Guilty Lion in it I hope he would be lynched)

I guess right side isn't a row but you get what I mean.
In post 220, Blair wrote:Yeah, I agree that it looks like a reach - but it's kind of a townie reach? How does scum!Dunnstral benefit from townreading the opposite corner and scumreading an adjacent corner? That's a bit too risky to be a manufactured read.
He has a buddy that holds another position on the board.
I opened the game expressing I wanted to roll scum, I have 24 hours left, reasonable to assume I am not just opening the game in 2 or saving myself in that time.
IC has also already voted me.
With 24 hours left, if you're town you really need to start outing reads fast.

I mean it isn't that easy.
It's not about lynching 1 player.
It's about picking the best set of 3 to kill all at once.
I can't just pick Dunnstral if I also want you and T-Bone dead for example. I'd have to the latter 2 first even if I feel better about Dunnstral.
My feeling about the Kanna and Dunnstral slot don't even make me feel that bad about the idea of just dying here so their is also that.

Oddly enough I actually town read Maxwell. He has a range of interactions and pushes which feel townie to me, I liked the way he opened up the thread, feels consistent with his style of play. Hasn't touched up on board play much either so it kind of makes sense.
Which is why both sides I want to avoid him because I don't feel particularly strongly for either of his mid points, Ebi and T-Bone, being scum either.
GL votes me for being a corner, he asks me a question which has a clear answer for me to say, kill a corner.
Then he asks me for 3 reads on middle players and doesn't ask me about any corner players. Feels like dissonance.
He is also pushing a range of players but is also only voting no posters for the most part. Feels very weird to me.
Kanna vote on GL is the worst thing I've ever seen. CSF has failed to explain.
Dunnstral is as explained.
So right side or bottom side. Dunnstral/GL or Dunnstral/CSF. CSF/GL isn't an option obviously.
Thoughts my people?

Just one point of clarification, I haven't played on these forums on any account in five years so I wouldn't take any of that to be alignment indicative, I literally don't remember how I used to play.
I actually like beeboy's readlist though, it doesn't feel like he's just looking for a safe push in it. Unfortunately the CSF slot is still my preferred day 2 vote, I'll vote whichever of beeboy/dunnstral there's support for even though I really don't find beeboy's slot to be scummy.
I won't outright vote CSF day 1 because if I'm wrong and they happen to be town I think it has the potential to put the board in a very bad gamestate

I feel like you're blending times where I'm concerned about the board and times where I'm concerned about the game
I asked you about those three players because I feel they're important slots to give reads on to get a sense of your overall view of the game state.
I have made two votes this game, one on Maxwell and one on rozyroz, and they are both corners. I have certainly pushed Clover and Kanna/CSF and Blair to a degree in varying degrees at different points, because I am finding the three of them important to sort. I will not vote any of them today because they are edges.
Scum is definitely setting up to push me later this game in some way. I'm kinda scared of a Clover/Blair/GL LYLO because I don't think town has a good chance of winning that as it stands. If there's a scum in Clover/Blair then they're buddying the other one.
