I fucking knew that looked like a quickhammer

to be really honest, I think that was so unexpected it was unfair. I don't think scum should get extra kills on top of their factional kill, ever. we literally had no way to expect something like that. I was emotionally invested in this game and looking forward to at least watching the LYLO on D4, so having smth like this happen makes me feel like shit > <

fun game tho. thx bork and I definitely want in for more of your games :3

I agree - I think I tried to do too much with this game (mostly involving getting roles to fit flavor, which I think I did well) but it largely backfired when it came to actual gameplay.

I FUCKING HAD BOTH OF THEM

I COULD HAVE FUCKING WON FROM HERE

FUCK MY LIFE I SUCK

WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

/smashes head on desk

also I went on high alert when zmuffin's thoughts were coinciding with me the whole game. then even higher alert when psychlone pointed this same fking thing out about zmuffin. this made me suspect I was walking into a trap, but it was after it was too late. fuck

I think going forward our little clique has learned that negative utility roles needs some sort of positive upside to be fair to whoever draws them.

Playing with the intention of getting bussed is an interesting scum experience.

But yeah the balance this game was hilariously scum-sided.

pedit: That. Unless it's an unrequited lover. That person dying should give something to town, or something, as an additional reward for lynching scum.

Because I had 0 reason not to play with the intention of getting lynched day 2-3.

I actually really don't agree with this, considering all the positive utility town roles that had 0 effect on the game (because you happened to kill/lynch them)

A better articulation is that it was too swingy in favor of scum in the case where it started to swing that way

FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE FUCK MY LIFE
I'm so fucking pissed off at myself. I had it sorted, and then I fucking wandered off and trusted TNE's read thinking "oh hell even if it's wrong we can just fix it tomorrow"

lesson learned: that mindset doesn't fucking work. I'm so fucking mad at myself. that choice fucking lost us the game and I feel like shit > <//

my thoughts when I realized people were going to do this.

"oh fuck"
"what can i do about that at this point?"
"...oh, right, not a goddamn thing"

Hardly your fault, pie.

Losing in two mislynches is a setup quirk you couldn't have accounted for.

You're spectacular, man.
Let's play more games together sometime.

As for feeling mad at yourself, don't.
You did amazingly well. Believe in yourself. You're usually right! Hold on to your beliefs! Fight for your beliefs!
I was really mad at myself for not winning the last game for my team.
I got real bent out of shape for it.
What you've got to remember is that you're still awesome, great at the game, and fun to play with. Keep playing, keep giving it your all, and you'll get those wins. You'll get even better, too.

I guess this is a better way of articulating it.

Things went about as optimally as scum as they could have, except for me getting lynched D2 instead of D3

The lover role was disabled during LYLO; so it's probably better you went D2

Day 3 would have been MyLo.

MYLO was when t was disabled, not LYLO.

mastin wrote:But 2127? It's different. I'm not sure he's aware of his shift in tone. Or maybe he is, because he can afford it now that I'm dead.
it wasn't so much you being dead as anyone who was going to pick up on the shift in tone being dead.

maybe ghostlin might have but i dunno, he wasn't exactly the towniest of players at the time so i didn't think i'd have issues arguing him down.
mastin wrote:me being able to point this out is almost assuredly the REASON I'm dead
mm, not quite. i probably would have played D3 a bit differently if you were still alive, but we didn't kill you for that. nachogif seemed convinced you were a cop, and i didn't care who died at that point. i actually wanted to endgame you :>
BRO wrote:He scumslipped in 2129. He said he doesn't know who the scum bussing is if AA9 is town, except he should know that it would have to be nacho/gif if I were bussed
nah that wasn't a slip, i was saying that if AA9 was town i wasn't sure whether anyone actually was bussing

this was fun. i'm a bit disappointed we didn't get to play out lylo since that would have been trolltastic but oh well

this game wasn't scum-sided, just a bit swingy. i know i didn't account for TNE's role being exactly what it was (and i don't think nachogif did either) and it was super fucking powerful if he'd used it right. so powerful that in conjunction with varsoon's role it seems almost broken :/ maybe i'm not looking at things correctly but if town hadn't forced so much power to claim D1 or TNE had chosen his target(s) better then this could have been an entirely different game

i didn't want to roll scum this game, but it turned out to be enjoyable anyway

we should have thought of TNE being something more, considering mastin setup speculation
