as i said in dead thread, the specific night action sequence is like the perfectly compelling set of information to work with - both scum got kind of guiltied and pre-empted them with claims

additionally the specific people chosen for each thing was like perfectly Dramatic - duckling as the woeful d1 lynch, mastina as the early dead scum to puzzle over interactions with, meph 39 as the loud wild wielder of a guilty, sheep as the slippery scum trying to survive endgame, and perhaps most critically skitter as the analytical mastermind stuck with pretty much all of the information commanded by town

like i was really glad to see skitter sign up for this bc i was thinking like . . . she is the perfect person to get or interact with this sort of role and it was incredibly exciting to see her spill all sorts of setup spec tea in her thread

also her reaction to getting the role was like one of the times ive laughed the hardest at a mafia game but i think i was in a sort of delirious state regarding the whole situation

obviously town was very on the money considering the 3oe several people had by the end of d1, i think generally the quality of analysis was great as well

i think scum made good use of the fakeclaim opportunities. in terms of day play i think both of them would admit to being, like, fine - mastina wasnt on her a game and sheep made a bunch of random town content but had some glaring opportunism

i liked the level of uncertainty the vig thing caused - "does this random cop-type thing get affected by the target having a gun" was enough to cast some amount of doubt on the guilty and thus would have probably had a similarly marginal effect on a townie receiving it as well. thats generally what i look for with investigatives - results that make people have to avoid getting lynch with a disadvantage

also an incidental thing, it was great that tw was around at eod1 because if it had taken him more time to choose the role then it would have been clear that something happen at that time. i meant to delay d2 twilight a little bit as a general way to obscure that but i forgot

I'm really sorry that I was a huge debbie downer on this game. Mechanically, this game was superb, and I absolutely love some of the players in here. Specifically our final four. Sheep, I want to hydra with you after our last two games. I feel like our two contradictory styles combined would make either a fun scumhunter or really fun scum.

schadd, thank you for modding. I hope to play more of your games in the future, but I'm problem taking a bit of a break from playing either way.

I skimmed through this last pages and there are some inconsistencies: so scum gave a new ability to skitter, and if Meph is telling the true, they got something too. skitter said that it seemed to be a one time thingy, so how could scum!mastina give something to Meph if scum already gave something to skitter? I'm a little bit confused here.

This is where I'm stuck too. Our options seem to be the following:

• skitter is lying, and mastina and Meph are both telling the truth.
  Feels like the least likely

mastina and Meph are both lying, and skitter is telling the truth.

Feels like too bad of play if mastina and Meph are both scum

skitter and Meph are both being honest, but mastina is lying about who received their power, and the actual source for Meph's power is not talking or unknown.

I think this is where my mind is now.

All three of them are telling the complete truth.

This requires setup spec, and not knowing what the roles are, I don't believe this is reasonable.

I honestly don’t know what came over me, I’ve never played any game anywhere, where scum fucked me over this badly. It just felt that even before we replaced in, everyone and their uncle was ganging up on our slot and I just felt completely helpless in all of my efforts to change that, so I guess I just snapped pretty much and acted in a way that was completely out of character for me.

I’m truly sorry if I offended anyone and contributed to making the game “toxic”. Fwiw, the nasty comments directed at me. from the ongoing disrespect, to really hurtful insults, et al and being wrongly criticized for being over sensitive, didn’t help me to overcome being set up and framed by Mastina.

I also presented and extremely logical case of why it made no sense for us to either be scum or Mastina’s partner, which totally got ignored. On our part, we should have just claimed a hard guilty on sheep, since we both knew he was lockscum on D2.

Anyway, I think it would be a real shame, if people unfairly held this single meltdown against me and outright refused to give me another chance, to prove that this behaviour was entirely out of character for me. That said, no one put a gun to my head and forced me to freak out like I did and I need to face the consequences of it, no matter how unfair it is and how much it sucks. :/

It's really cool of you to feel like you've gone too far and apologise for it. It's something that's really constructive to work on from a playstyle pov, and it takes quite a lot of courage to say post-game in public.

Nancy, I think I owe you an apology too. We both got pretty heated a few days ago so I'm sorry. But just to be clear, I don't hold any grudge on you and I think like the only think that upset me was the whole "I'm going to report you" thingy, the rest is just ingame beef that I don't think is crossing any lines. By the way I never said I would black list you or anything, I usually give second chances to players 'cause as you say, judging someone because of one game that got you say things you didn't want to is unfair.

My only problem with your playstyle (not you as a person, not even close to that) is how you react to being scumread incorrectly; to have to understand that the rest of the playerlist can't read minds and are doing the best they can, so if you start saying things like "this town is shit" only because you're being scumread is really unfair since you don't know how much effort the rest of the playerlist is doing. This game is a pretty good example: a micro with 95 pages, where town won thanks to cooperation. As I said, I have no problems with you or your personality traits, just a playstyle thing that will ocassionally start beef with the rest.

But all in all, I had a pretty good time with everyone and was a nice setup, so thanks schadd, hope to play another game with any of you in the future.

Tbf fair though, there was a comment earlier on, not being you, that I got accused of being oversensitive about and I’ve seen players temp banned for less. I did feel I was being disrespected straight from the getgo and I think everything combined, including Skitter’s threat, just pushed me over the edge. It’s still no excuse though. I am extremely embarrassed by my behaviour and it’s not at all typical for me in games.

I have called people WOATs before though.

But as for the rest of it, no. My behaviour bordered on being abusive and it still legit freaks me out, how I lost control like that.

I have also never been framed by scum as an associative.

It was also tough, to replace into a slot that was being heavily scumread. I generally handle it better, if I think I did something to cause it but I guess that’s always the risk of replacing into a non-lurker slot.

Howeve, I usually learn from my mistakes, especially the most painful ones.
