“MASTIN2!!! GET OUT OF THERE!! THAT WATER IS YUCKY!! NASTY!!”
Mastin’s mom scoops him up and carries him away at arms length, barely controlling her gag reflex.
Mastin2 has left the playground.
It's a hot day, and ice and water are a favorite to help everyone cool down. Before too long, the ice melts, and water becomes the weapon of choice. As cups are refilled and lobbed all over the place, someone is still using Styrofoam and has some ice left.
In the melee, it gets tossed down Lady Lambdadelta's back.
She arches forward with a hiss and a cry, and then turns around and haymakers a kid flat on his ass.
"That's cold!!" she screams, pulling her shirt away from her body and shaking it to get the ice out and prevent the dread drop into the pants.
Her mother rushes over and grabs her by the ear.
"I saw that young lady! We are not a bully! We don't hit other kids!"
She drags Lady Lambdadelta off by her ear.
Lady Lambdadelta has left the playground.
Nero Cain climbs to the largest branch of the tree. It easily holds his weight. He shimmies across it and over the fence surrounding the playground. As he nears the end of the branch, it droops more and more with his weight. Getting a good grip, he hangs for a second, and then drops onto the grass outside the playground. Spying a Stop-n-Go, he jingles the change in his pocket and heads over to buy a Slurpee.
His mom finally notices, gives a little shriek, and hurries after him.
Nero Cain has left the playground.
Mastin2 was Vanilla Town!
Lady Lambdadelta was Mafia Godfather!
Nero Cain was Town Roleblocker!

Junpei was scum.
Fallman CLAIMED SCUM IN HIS FIRST POST. THAT POST ONLY HAS SCUM MOTIVATION. SURVIVALISM IS A SCUM MOTIVATED PLAY.
HE DIDN'T SAY "LET ME SCUM HUNT". HE EXPLICTLY SAID HE WOULDN'T!
WE ARE LYNCHING FALLMAN TODAY. I WON'T LET SCUM DERAIL THIS LYNCH!
When he flips town, I'd like to lynch LLD.
unvote vote Fallman
Now that LLD is dead...
VOTE: Benmage
Why did you vote someone you claimed, and we all now know, was town?
Now that you've pointed it out this ABSOLUTELY looks like a bus.
Vote: Benmage
Thank you vig.

Howdy, all.
Finishing catching up, made it through to about page 70.
Were there any claims, or anything of significance between then and now? I'll finish the catch-up on my own, just curious for any more information with which to process the remainder.
Based on where I've made it to, I'm in support of the Benmage wagon. Want to finish reading, though, before actually joining in. To the point I'm at, my scum read is based on a complete lack of pro-active town effort on Benmage's part.
Other candidates include Psyche, Scooby (who has not yet been replaced by where I'm at), and FakeGod. All for basically the same reason as Benmage.
I'll have to reprocess the earlier portions in light of Nero Cain's flip and Lady Lambdadelta's flip.
Who might Nero Cain have blocked from killing and who was fighting hard to keep Lady Lambdadelta alive? To the latter, I'm really interested in The Mini-Libriarian's fake cop claim thing which now looks very funky. Is there anything else I don't know regarding this?
@ The Mini-Librarian
So, what was the deal? At the time where I'm at in catching up, I believed in the joke explanation. It made even more sense given that I was viewing Lady Lambdadelta as fairly Town, myself. Now, it looks a hell of a lot more like a subtle defense of Lady Lambadelta and an attempt to maybe trap an unwary Cop into a counter-claim, or invite an investigation you knew would result in an innocent result.
↑Lady Lambdadelta wrote:I'm sorry, in what universe am I a young teenage boy?
Well you act like one so I just assumed this was the case.
Case. That's a funny word. Reminds of the case on me which doesn't exist.
You know what I find funny? The fact that the evidence against you has been brought forth MULTIPLE TIMES.
And yet, you still try and desperately cling to your "WHAT CASE" defense.
Keep flailing, scum.
WAIT.
HAHAHAHA. Wonderful. The 'flailing accusation is a scumtell' theory once again vindicated through anecdotal experience.
Also, guys, this means Junpei's replacement is very likely town. Scum very rarely accuse other scum of flailing, even with reference to the existence of other scumteams.

I think that might be because even in two-team situations, scum just don't really engage in scumhunting much like Town does.

TML is very likely scum.
His reaction to Nero's vote start of Day 2 - where he sticks up for LLD is pretty damning. Plus you've got the above.
Plus you've got the complete lack of scum-hunting.
I need to read LLD and then TML/Benmage/Red - who I think may well be scum still. LLD stuck up for him earlier. Hezlucky's play also needs attention. He's pretty awful and tied himself closely to LLD. Calls for a bit of a re-read.

I was going to join a new game to test my new perspective on mafia, but I'm here, aren't I?
All I have to do...is read...and think. The second part should be fun.

er i noticed the mini librarian thing when i was reading, but didnt want to point it out.
at this point, i want a claim from mini librarian before i say anything else.

I agree that TML should claim.
From the mafia perspective, they should have thought it possible that TML did indeed have a cop innocent on LLD considering their knowledge of LLD being godfather. It's possible they wanted to wait for TML to actually claim an innocent result on LLD, but if they killed TML and he flipped as some sort of cop, it would have been obvious that LLD was an innocent result, so there shouldn't have been any need to keep him alive.
On top of that, having a godfather on their team would have indicated that there must be a cop, so my big question is, why is TML still alive? There is obviously a reason for mafia keeping him around. The only thing I can think of is that they had information (rolecop/track result) suggesting TML was not a cop, and that's why they didn't kill him.
So yes, I think a claim is necessary, because I don't think it will change the chances of mafia night-killing him and will only help us read him.

Yeah, uh-huh, are you trying to be Benmage, here? Remember his whole "whaddya think about Rack?" thing?
Are you looking to get some of the credit bestowed on him for "not knowing" who was lynched?

Everything about your impact on this game is screaming at me that you are consciously attempting to get away with as much as you possibly can. It's like you are sitting at your keyboard thumbing your nose and sticking out your tongue at everyone else. Not acceptable. Time to die.
Made it to page 83. Almost caught up completely.
I recognize the suspicion towards DeasVail, but his play seems markedly different than the one game I played with him where he was scum, Open 349. There, he had a much flashier impact on the game. It's possible this change is not related to an alignment change, but for now I'm reading him as more likely Town.
HezLucky wrote:Now that you've pointed it out this ABSOLUTELY looks like a bus.
I don't get your line of thinking, here. Why would Benmage bus Lady Lambdadelta in this fashion? She was in a pretty solid positoin, as far as I can tell.
I don't see that StrangerCoug is saying that, at all. It looks more like StrangerCoug is accusing Benmage of voting for Fallman7, knowing all the time that it would be a mislynch.
What am I missing?

Ah, 349! Just looking over it again, I'm reminded of when MS was all new and exciting. It feels so long ago now...
I must say though, I'd expect my scumplay now to be different, considering that I hadn't even completed a game there and had never actually been town.
Now I feel all good inside Thanks DLG! And thank you so much for replacing in and catching up.
Back to business:
DLG:
I feel that your scumreads are a bit lazy, as in you're going after people who aren't contributing as much, and I don't agree that it's a great place to find scum.
Regarding Benmage, I haven't made my mind up yet. Don't have time to read through his posts now, but I will later.

Not lazy.
I will flesh these out further, but at this point, it appears that there is a strong propensity for my suspects to lay back and do nothing to alter the self-destructive course Town has taken, then pop in and help complete the mislynches.
I have the same feelings towards redFF as I do towards you from 349. His play here is markedly different, to my eyes. Much more invested in really figuring out scum and far less interested in "showing off". His play there reminds me of Psyche's play here.
Do you, DeasVail, think that's a valid comparison?
How about you, redFF?
I feel really strong about Psyche being scum. Why don't you two help me lynch him? Scum lynches are fun.

Amusing how easily someone can project motives onto behavior. I've been called lazy, but this?
