This is why it's common to hear "Let the record reflect the witness has identified the defendant" or something similar.
Quoting mafia posts is more analogous to a readback. A readback is when a jury gets readback portions of the record. The jury must accept the reporter's transcript as true and accurate.

Tomorrow we will hold trial for PookytheMagicalBear. If I am deceased then Titus will inherit my position as Town judge/rolecop.

I ask that this trial be stayed pending investigative results. This will help for future trials. We should also enable investigatives to give input before any vindication or sentencing,
