So that kind of focus switch for a little repartee is something you expect from his scum game? He's relaxed and enjoying himself enough to immediately rib you for a typo with a couple puns?In post 2448, Bell wrote:I think he gets relatively caught up in seeming like himself and not breaking character- Bell

In the moment, I was thinking that a scum April dug himself into a really deep hole with the frankly bad attacks, and he decided to go big and fakeclaim a "confirmable" role. This way he is able to stall his hang for one or two days, and might even talk himself out of it during the later game. I'm not sure what the "breadcrumbs" mean for this though.In post 2452, Remilia Scarlet wrote:

Probably not. I think there’d be a lag there since there’s a further process to go through. But it’s not especially out there either way.In post 2455, morph the cat wrote:

I'm not a very passive scumplayer and this game I would say if I'm scum I've played it very passively. If I'm scum I'm just rolling over and dieing and I usually fight back when I'm scum in this situation.In post 2456, Bell wrote:@Alisae why aren’t you mafia this game? Is there anything you’d usually have done/not done as scum

That's one example of what I think of as textual body language. There are other things, of course. When I noticed this post while isoing him this morning, I thought it might be significant. For some players I think it's outside of where their head is at when they're scum in the game thread and there's activity happening all around. The question is whether s_s is one of those players.Bell wrote:

NS’s viewpoint could probably be described in many ways but I don’t think unimaginative is one of them. If anything it takes more imagination to distrust the claim and come up with scum!April narratives.In post 2386, Bell wrote:

@Morph ok i'm done w/ spoilers"
mostly for me it was:
1) Really seemed like he was planning to jump on me after Bell did circa 1300 and that just never materialized
2) a couple awkward engages from the get-go (see: read on my slot in particular at the beginning of the game)
3) occurrences of hedgy behavior 1894, Maria read in catchup post.
4) things like 857 and even the end of 856 Strike me as a "i need to move somebody up or down a little bit and I'm going to try to find a vehicle for that" rather than the reverse
I'm ignoring the "frantic = scum" argument. It's stupid but I think it's something he might believe as town / feel ok purporting as scum.
There have been a couple posts I liked too 1546 in particular that do seem tonally pretty good so I get where that read is coming from. I stand by what I said earlier; he seems slimy to me- Bell

I’m just floating this idea out there, again just an idea. But maybe we can compromise and give April some “time limit”. I don’t like the vague sense of timeline he keeps mentioning, it seems too easy for scum!April to weasel/talk his way out of it.
If it’s D3 and he isn’t reasonably confirmable we elim the slot.
I just want to see what people think of this idea first. If it’s an antitown idea we don’t have to continue discussing it.

Alas, we exist in a world where there's a non-zero chance that said role is April, so here we are trying to solve the soup cans.- Alisae

But okay. If we can say day before ELO then I’m all for that, that seems like a pretty reasonable way to deal with the slot.
