He seems pretty cheery. I’m not sure if he prefers being scum or not.

Mostly tonal, a few things that popped out to me. I actually really hoped we could get a scum case to compare and contrast with. Would you be interested in our very rough outline of our town case in exchange?

So that kind of focus switch for a little repartee is something you expect from his scum game? He's relaxed and enjoying himself enough to immediately rib you for a typo with a couple puns?

In the moment, I was thinking that a scum April dug himself into a really deep hole with the frankly bad attacks, and he decided to go big and fakeclaim a "confirmable" role. This way he is able to stall his hang for one or two days, and might even talk himself out of it during the later game. I'm not sure what the "breadcrumbs" mean for this though.
IV sorta echoed my thoughts.

Probably not. I think there’d be a lag there since there’s a further process to go through. But it’s not especially out there either way.

Spayhalf sayz....
This read keeps moving around. It took a small hit due to play around the zmuffin/alice interactions. Part of the uncertainty comes down to a new player developing quickly. It took questioning to understand his approach to mafia to the point where we could read his posts for alignment at first. I like his interactions around reactions to his reads list, including seeing why s_s thought it looked like a forced ranking. I also like that he defends his solid reads when other players push back (e.g., Remilia read). I don't agree with some of the stances obviously, but I can see the stances coming from town much more easily than scum. I feel like a developing player drawing scum wouldn't be quite as open, free and in the moment in response to disagreements and questions that could hold stuff to trip over.

As for me, I am kind of reading it as moonlogic town. I'm effectively substituting the name titus in to all the posts and deciding it makes sense as moon logic town over moon logic scum.

I'm not a very passive scumplayer and this game I would say if I'm scum I've played it very passively. If I'm scum I'm just rolling over and dieing and I usually fight back when I'm scum in this situation.

That's one example of what I think of as textual body language. There are other things, of course. When I noticed this post while isoing him this morning, I thought it might be significant. For some players I think it's outside of where their head is at when they're scum in the game thread and there's activity happening all around. The question is whether s_s is one of those players.

This one. It pings me as being unimaginative.
NS’s viewpoint could probably be described in many ways but I don’t think unimaginative is one of them. If anything it takes more imagination to distrust the claim and come up with scum!April narratives.

@Morph ok i'm done w/ spoilers"

mostly for me it was:

1) Really seemed like he was planning to jump on me after Bell did circa and that just never materialized
2) a couple awkward engages from the get-go (see: read on my slot in particular at the beginning of the game)
3) occurrences of hedgy behavior , Maria read in catchup post.
4) things like and even the end of Strike me as a "i need to move somebody up or down a little bit and I'm going to try to find a vehicle for that" rather than the reverse

I'm ignoring the "frantic = scum" argument. It's stupid but I think it's something he might believe as town / feel ok purporting as scum.

There have been a couple posts I liked too in particular that do seem tonally pretty good so I get where that read is coming from. I stand by what I said earlier; he seems slimy to me

I agree, I don’t think NS’s thinking could be considered unimaginative given his Goku spirit bomb elimination of you.
...i’m not sure the lowest bar of skepticism can be considered imaginative.

I’m just floating this idea out there, again just an idea. But maybe we can compromise and give April some “time limit”. I don’t like the vague sense of timeline he keeps mentioning, it seems too easy for scum!April to weasel/talk his way out of it.

If it’s D3 and he isn’t reasonably confirmable we elim the slot.

I just want to see what people think of this idea first. If it’s an antitown idea we don’t have to continue discussing it.

Dude, it's just a fancier miller claim.

We have public alignment counts. The specific time to kill it with fire is the day before EL-LO.

I will fully grant you that he's the type of read that If i got to play director, I'd point an investigative on and hope for the best.

Alas, we exist in a world where there's a non-zero chance that said role is April, so here we are trying to solve the soup cans.

I don’t really know how to deal with a miller claim either, sorry I’m bad lol.

But okay. If we can say day before ELO then I’m all for that, that seems like a pretty reasonable way to deal with the slot.
