hohum, your point be made (and Troll's also though Troll, like Scien had hoped to leave it a bit vague), there be no need to insult. Troll would also like it if you would answer Troll's questions if you be willing.
Sajin, Troll trusts that Troll no has to explain Troll's first post at this point?
Scien, Troll thinks that lynching probably still does be in the towns interest. We have two routes to victory in this game. We can keep the chosen alive or lynch the scum. Either one will win just fine whether or not we do the other. If we never lynch then the scum eventually have the advantage as town has to lynch before scum has to night kill. Early lynches both give us information and are less likely to hit a chosen (based on numbers of other targets available) than later lynches if we're just letting the scum kill at night.
It do be a tricky issue but Troll be pretty sure that reasoned lynches will tend to favor the town.

Why are you trying to be sneaky Scien?Scien wrote:There goes my attempts to be sneaky.
Zorblag...If someone is not participating then we have to rely on the mod to prod and replace as necessary. If they are not posting content then we will have to figure out what to do with them at that point. Pressure to post would be what I would lean towards.
My odds of being the chosen based on my PM are probably 2 out of 7.

No.
We had a perfect opportunity there. There was a misconception about the rules. I made the same one.
I answered the questions that were posed, without explicitly bringing out the rules misconception. I posed my own questions, hoping to further include others in conversation. I waited/am waiting to fully explain my position until we get others to comment.
Hence 'sneaky'.
We could have allowed the other scum to walk right into the same mistake. But meh, thats not a possibility now.

I'm an abrasive person in-game. It helps me scum hunt. You'll get used it it eventually.Zorblag wrote: there be no need to insult.
I'd rather conduct productive lynches rather than try and play "a perfect game" because it gives the scum less opportunity to introduce WIOFM into the town's thought processes.Scien wrote: We could have allowed the other scum to walk right into the same mistake.
Therefore, I call them as I see them. Are you on board with this?

That no be the reason Troll gave. We can win with the scum alive. That be the point of this setup and why it be different from a normal game. Everyone should have that crystal clear right from the start.MiteyMouse wrote:I have to agree with Zorblag here. Avoiding a lynch may prevent us from hitting one of the chosen but, it also keeps us from getting the Scummies. We can't win with them alive.

Incognito just told me that chosen do not know they are chosen but scum do. I thought the chosen knew. There goes my mass claim idea.
Thanks for the rules update. Appreciated.
I am willing to be the lynch but now instead of knowing I am not the chosen, I could be one. That sucks.

Meh. Continuing the Mitey/Zorblag/Scien train of thought then:
Why is it black or white? Why is it lynch or don't lynch.
I understand your reasoning, truly I do. But it seems to me to be a bit of handicapping to claim that we 'have' to either lynch or no lynch each day and night. It seems to me that it would be better suited to make the decision based on the current game state. It why give up town options before we have enough information to determine if those options are a better decision for the town to make?
Continuing with Hohum's discussion:
To both discussions. The scum can still night kill, and that still gives the town information. Why be aggressive about day killing when you can still question, and examine night kills during the day? Why is do you believe that this setup is such a black and white issue?

Not yet. I am still not convinced that 'lynch, lynch, lynch' is the answer in this set up.Hohum wrote:Are you on board with this?

The first be similar to Scien's question but be approaching it from another angle. The second and third be useful for determining what sort of points of view players have on this dynamic which might give access to their probable roles. Unless you have have a specific reason not to answer the questions Troll would appreciate if you do. It be up to you but more information about this sort of thing should help the town in the long run.hohum wrote:Pooh doesn't see the point.Zorblag wrote:Troll would also like it if you would answer Troll's questions if you be willing.

Fine, discussion is good. Lynching scum should trump that though. Until someone convinces me that Sajin isn't obvscum, the questions are pointless to the task of lynching sajin. If you want the answers, you'll have to wait.Zorblag wrote:The first be similar to Scien's question but be approaching it from another angle. I see why you think I was scum. Because I thought people would be able to claim chosen. But that does not indicate confused scum, or confused townie but just confused. Hohum was willing to take advantage of the confusion though. I like my vote.
My odds of being chosen are 2/7.

Also, the only way to pursue the scum is to keep lynching. No lynching is bad.
If we ever hit a chosen we need to lynch every day. (besides some scenarios like 4 up 1 scum etc etc)
If we no lynched before we lynched a chosen we put ourselves at disadvantage.
Therefore NLing before we get close to endgame can only disadvantage us.

Troll no be saying that we should decide now what the best choice will be every day. Troll does think that it be the better choice to lynch this day for the reasons Troll gave.Scien wrote:I understand your reasoning, truly I do. Also, we no need to rush into the lynch. Troll will
unvote
for now. There be no good reason not to get the answers to Troll's questions before the lynch as them no should do anything to change people's views on Sajin. Hohum's view here be troubling.

OMGUS would be me voting troll, he was the first voter. I was confused I agree.
I assumed I was NOT told when I got my PM and that I was told in the duration of the mods 5th post when he stated chosen have now been selected.
I read my PMs carefully. I understood I could be chosen and did not know at the time I was sent the PM. I did not understand that I would never know.
