I know, bloojay, I know...

So, what's the verict, people? Does anyone have a good idea, or should we just continue the bandwagon against bloojay until we get a role claim or something? Since we probably have three mafia (Lundburg and the two consultants) and a SK (Milton) we've got a 40% chance on a completely random kill, and I like those odds. but I don't want to continue the bandwagon if someone has a better plan.

Well, I don't have a better plan. But I've reread the entire thread and a few times and used the search function twice and I really can't find any line stating anyone named Lundburg (I understand you mean the boss. Am I right?) or that the serialkiller is named Milton. I am pretty curious where you get that information from.

No vote yet.

Actually, I think it's Issac's assumptions are pretty good for this game. IIRC from Office Space, Lundburg hired the consultants to fire people, and we see that one killing party fires people. There was also Milton who got his stapler stolen by Lundburg. He also got skrewed around with, and finally snapped and burned the office down. The other killing party, we see, asked for a little red stapler, then torched someone, so it's reasonable to assume that Milton's the other killer. A mafia is by definition multiple people acting in concert, and a serial killer is by definition a lone gun, so Issac's assumptions seem ok to me. Also (and this is just insider knowledge), Darkblade's last game, Sluggy mafia, had three mafia and an SK, but the SK turned good for story reasons. It was a pretty succesful game, so Darkblade may have used that format again.

Not sure what else to do now, I'll post again when I get back from classes.

Wow, I hadn't even thought of that. I thought the "set on fire" was a pun on "fired."

Did you know that the idea of "firing someone" came from back in the olden days, when they used to set people's houses on fire when they were of no further use to the society? Weird, huh?

Well, ye learn something new every day. In my case, I'm intent on learning what bloojay's role is. If my count is right, this is vote four, please refrain from more votes, everyone, until bloojay speaks up his role, we don't want to make this an easy kill for the mafia.

That's kind of a hard thing to misinterpret. Then again, I've been known to forget my own name early morning, so who am I to pass judgement?

(And on a sidenote, the use of "murder" in terms of killing originated in a similar way. It used to be that if you killed someone, you'd leave their body out, so as to get eaten by crows. Groups of crows are called a murder, so killing got associated with murder.)

Back on topic, I don't find anything particularly suspect about bloojay, so I'm not sure why Isaac's so intent on getting a role from him. On the other hand, that's pretty much how

(I'm also prone to posting before I've complete my thought during the early evening ).

On the other hand, that's pretty much how all the other random bandwagoning I've seen works.

Yeah, as I've said, I have nothing against bloojay, except he already had three votes, and in the absence of any other ideas, I figured we might as well start the random bandwagon with someone who already had three votes. If anyone is opposed to bandwagoning bloojay or has a better idea, I'll unvote.

So this game is based upon something? Thank god. Now at least I can google on something. Maybe remove a couple of the questionmarks around my head.

I don't want to be critical, but I don't think you should have revealed yourself to vouch for bloojay. It's not known if there's another doc, and you're definately scum's #1 target for tonight. Maybe if bloojay was closer to a lynch it'd be a better idea, but I think everyone was waiting to see if a real Drew came out, and would have probably let him off the hook soon.

I kind of doubt that. If either bunsofsteel or bloojay die, and turns out to be scum, the other is lynch-bait. I don't think they'd associate so publicly if they were scum.

Now, if one of them does die, and does turn out to be scum, that'd be a different matter...

Otherwise,
let's get our talk on, people!
I'd especially like to hear more from Cynical, since he's only posted once, and that was just to vote randomly.

What more can I say? There seems to be a lot of odds involved in this game, and there aren't many good targets yet.

Cheers.

Yeah... somehow I believe buns, but I don't think that it was very smart to announce it to everyone. Might wanna be more careful in future games.

Usually on first day, I unvote somebody as soon as they talk, but I'm kind of getting scum-vibes from Cynical. He's posted twice in game, and says he doesn't have much to say. However, he seems to be checking the game pretty often; note how he posted three minutes after me. Those two don't necessarily lead to him being scum, but they do point there a little. I hate to pick on new players, but I want to pick on Cynical a little more and see what information we get. Anyone with me?

*sigh*

Well, since no one else seems to have any ideas, we may as well. I almost want to lynch bunsofsteel today, i figure if he's inexperienced enough to make such an unnecessary role claim, he's inexperienced enough to make a stupid role claim like that in an obvious attempt to save fellow mafia. After all, if he's mafia, which I think is fairly likely, he'll just be hanging, and if he isn't, he was probably going to die tonight anyway. But even though I'm still highly suspicious of buns, i don't think we should lynch him, I just wanted to share my thoughts on what to do. I was going to even suggest this in the thread, but then came JereIC rooting out cynical and cynical's incredibly flip response.

So yeah, even though this could very well be a fairly obvious attempt to divert attention from two scummy looking fellows by JereIC (JereIC:i'm not seriously suspicious or anything, I just feel like we should bring out every posibility in the thread), I think we should force something out of cynical, if only because he wrote such a infoless post. So come on, cynical, what are your thoughts on bloojay? How about on bunsofsteel? Don't you wish bunsofsteel would be a more conciencious poster in regards to double posting and using the caps lock? It's not like there's not a lot to discuss.... get talking.

Alright, let's get talking.

Well, there have been a few developments but not many. Before I believe BoS's roleclaim I would like a name from office space to go along with it. It is no surprise to have an investigator in a mafia game, but I want to see if he actually has the role.

As far as cynical goes, his posts have been fairly useless so far, and unless anybody protests, I tihnk I'm going to start a Cynical bandwagon so that maybe we can get another role claim. With the level of activity and how [sarcasm]informative[/sarcasm] his posts have been, I don't see why I shouldn't
