I did ask DMI to explain himself, but he never showed up to do so. At this point I will add a
vote: DMI
as he's had plenty of time to respond.

As for no lynch, I don't think it's a good idea this early in the game. As for game setup, I thought the standard was 3 mafia in a mini, not 2. It's still possible we have a serial killer too. Besides, as I mentioned in my earlier post, we can still somewhat claim as town with our investigation results (without giving names).
I need a new tagline...

Question mark free, just for Leonidas. :)
Which begs the question - why did you not think of Jaguar's reasoning yourself? (She posted it just after your post).

MGIA wrote:Well, what do you suggest? No Lynch?
I wasn't suggesting no lynch as a strategy at all. Trying to understand the mechanics of the game, I shared some thoughts. I was actually thinking that a less solid lynch than in a regular game would be acceptable for Day 1, *because* building a strong lynch case seemed harder than normal. I'm sorry I didn't make that explicit in my posts. Jaguar made some excellent points in how we can still claim, but still, claims are harder here than in other games.

I don't know how to respond to Leonidas's most recent question. I agree Jaguar made a good point, but it didn't occur to me. Is that really so hard to believe?

I see Dmi has 3 votes already. I think he's the best candidate for a lynch at this point. If he doesn't post by tomorrow, I'll be casting my vote for him.

It's not that easy to swallow.

So you acknowledge that Jaguar made a good point, and you still want to lynch without discussion. For the second time around, you fail to take the 'good point' into consideration...

Yeah, at this stage, I think I can safely say I don't believe you.

No. Since there was already two votes for him you should have just waited rather than suspiciously adding a third vote, especially in a game like this where the doc doesn't know who he is and protecting someone would mean tying up most (if not all) of the night choices of players who still know nothing about themselves.

How do you know you aren't paranoid? Or insane? Why not wait for another night and see if you get differing results?

I'll
unvote
, but this could have been done much better. Not sure if I want to vote for Quail at this time, but right now we don't have many other options.

I'll hold off on voting at this time.

With all the formalities of naming and introduction done with, the people of Letheville begin to throw around wild, random accusations. Then someone accuses Dmi of making a non-random accusation. Dmi agrees and says that he heard that Quailman was a guilty party. And, like lemmings, they follow his lead and lynch the town's
Doctor
. Had he been alive tonight, he would have been able to save his target from being killed.

Quailman, Doctor, Lynched Day 1

It is now NIGHT 2. Please send in night choices.

Another night, another murder. You awake to find that many people are missing. Of course, knocking on peoples doors and reminding them that the mafia is afoot brings out all but two people: Dragon Phoenix and Dmi. You all split up to look for them.

When everyone returns, people report their observations.

“I found Dragon Phoenix’s body. It looks like he was shot in the back.”

“I found Dmi’s body. He was killed with a large butcher’s knife.”

“How did you know a butcher’s knife killed him.”

“Because the murderer forgot to take it with him.”

You take the bodies to the coroner and discover that Dragon Phoenix was a mischievous gossiper who liked to spread lies about people. Every night he would go up to someone and tell that person enough gossip to make them suspicious of someone (i.e. his target receives a guilty result). Dmi was also another one who liked spreading lies. At night, he would go on ranting and raving about one person so much that anyone who tried to investigate that person would surely find them suspicious (i.e. anyone who investigates his target receives a guilty result).

With that, you all return to discuss your collective fates.

Dragon Phoenix, gossiper, killed night 2
Dmi, mudslinger, killed night 2

It is now DAY 2.
With 8 alive, it will take 5 votes to lynch.

Well, that looks pretty bleak. Apparently there's an SK, and we still haven't tagged a mafia. That means there's at most five townies left (if SK, 2 mafia), and possibly only four (if SK, 3 mafia). That makes today's lynch crucial.

As far as yesterday goes, I don't think I really tried to get a "lynch without discussion." Otherwise, I would have cast a vote for Dmi before he claimed, or a vote for Quailman after. I did neither.

I didn't get any response to my choice on Night 1, which is why I started Day 1 with my "What the hell are we supposed to do?"-type post. I wasn't trying to confuse the town or get a no lynch or anything like that; I was trying to get a grip on the situation at hand!

Anyway, I did get a response to my choice last night, which I am happy to share if that's what people want. (I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but only Leonidas has posted so far, so I'll wait and see what everybody says.)

Hm. . .overall not too terrible a result last night. Two roles that could only cause confusion for the town.I'm guessing that DP gossiped to DMI which caused our mistaken lych yesterday. ..yea, losing doc was not so good.
