Ha, what's with the bandwagon on BabyJesus? Maybe it's just me, but this is the first time he's making sense to me and not pissing me off to high heaven.

For now.

By the way, Strykker, did you get any presents last night?

Sorry to go way back to the beginning here, but Puzzle, why would you associate the 'red fire' with Sephiroth? The only times in FF7 I can think of flame being connected with him are calling Meteor, obviously, which while accompanied by fire in the sky is hardly a cloud of any sort (unless 'rock' is a type of cloud), and the burning of Nibelheim, which, well, was more of an unexplained but Sephiroth-originated phenomenon of total destruction than what seems to be a mostly harmless cloud. Only 'some parts' of Crola's house were even burned.

Unfortunately, I'm not quite so good with my other FF villans (I never played FF9, and didn't finish FF10; I really need a better gaming system than a PS1), so I'm not sure who it actually would be (if it's a player rather than flavor), but your conclusion seems a bit off to me, and while looking for the wrong guy isn't critically bad, it can hardly help.

Okay, how's this for a theory on the Moogle thing. What if the red fire was someone trying to harm (or otherwise target) Crola, and turning into a Moogle was a side effect of protection? I know I've seen roles where the protect-ee would have a kill reduced to a 'knockout' (the exact effects of which typically included not voting or speaking), and this seems similar, but otherwise this is just a fairly random thought. I do know that you couldn't turn people into Moogles in FF7, so the ability isn't from that game.

My theory on the BabyJesus thing: Lynching him Day One is habit-forming. It's like letting IS live or treating someone as a confirmed innocent: once you've started, it's hard to go back even when you should. Should this be one of those times, well, there's really just one way to find out.

I like this wagon better than BJ-wagon and Strykker's reasoning for BJ-vote just sound crappy to my ear.

by StrykkerVerde
Brian: Yes I did receive something, a Rose, and a Blitzball. I don't know the significance of either

Olio: It's just a running joke that BJ gets lynched day 1 every game, my vote on him holds no premise at this time. In fact
Unvote

Also I don't really think there's a bandwagon going on me yet, nor should there be a bandwagon going on anybody at this point.

Lubabah: Spanish is cool but I don't speak it.

@ Darklight140 : the red fire association to Sephiroth I made is really not solid. It's only because when I googled about FF, the pictures I got for Sephiroth were in a background of flames.
As weird as it may sound, I've never played any FF. So, I may be completely off-track with this.

The Mooglization as a kind of protection makes some sense but for some reason, I don't believe this to be the case.
The best way to know would be to ask Crola but I don't see how knowing this would help the town for the time being. So, I'd prefer to abstain from trying to dig too much there. I've got a feeling that we should know more tomorrow anyway.

Heh. Cute Moogle.
/me pets crola

So, Brian, can you guess as to the significance of the gifts Strykker recieved?

by Lubabah
Well, im going to guess that the blitzball (obv) was sent by someone who plays blitzball.... i know... that was a real brain-buster. To go more in depth, for those of you who dont play FF, Tidus was the main character in FF10. I dont not think we should be worried about this person because Tidus will most likely be on the good side. (lik he was in the game)

And as for the rose.... I would guess it was sent by a girl character, although i am very sketchy on my FF knowledge.

Btw: Strykker, i doubt this is a band wagon, because we have nothing against you. Y me gusta espanol, tambien, yo lo hablo.

Unfortunately, guessing is
all
I can do. I sent him one of those objects, but I myself am unaware of what effects it as on the game, which is why I was hoping that Strykker could've shed some light on it for me. He doesn't seem to know either, though, so I guess that's a dead end.

unvote Zanath Brast
, because random votes suck. I'd still like an explanation of the name, though :P

wait.... you sent him something.... but didnt know what it would do?

So we have no clue whats going on. Hmm. Brian seems clear unless there is a counter claim to sending items.

My vote on BabyJesus stands. You all know why :D .

Actually, even if we do -- Brian only claims to have sent one item.

Brian, is the item sending stuff part of your role, or something wierder?

I do believe that he sent
one
object. However :
- I find the coincidence of Strykker receiving 2 a bit odd.
- I agree with Lubabah : why send an object if you don't know what it does ?

@ Brian : do you have any objection telling us which object you sent ?

1. No actually we don't. Can you elaborate please?

2. Id say from the opening scene its highly likely we have tidus in the game and he is both pro-town and a power role - maybe a vig or something?

3. Brian given what youve revealed is there any reason why you shouldnt just claim?

Have to admit that the mindless BJ bandwagon appears to be scum trying to take advantage of a prior trend (which many players here are unaware of or non-participants in) or just mindless bandwagoning based on prior history, since his play so far has seemed fine.

Brian, what was the purpose of your question? To establish your role for a later claim? Or what?

Posted: Tue May 31, 2005 7:02 pm
by Myopia
Agree with this which is why I asked armlx to clarify his position.

Babyjesus has been such a soft lynch in other games im not at all surprised that scum might have tried to get an easy one this game.

Myopia wrote: Thoughts about the theme? Ive played FF7-10 but not FF Tactics.

The theme is all of the Final Fantasy games. I used Ivalice as a tribute to the older games including FF Tactics and the upcoming FFXII. I heard that FFXII was taking so so long to be released in the US coz they are trying to tweek out the homosexual character which i think they is complete BS. They should leave the game as it is. Eniwiez, have fun! Or else be STABBED! :D or be turned into a moogle.
