I shall wait to page 5 to evaluate proper course of action.
What exactly about Psyche's post points towards him as lurker scum? You don't think he was joking when he said he was going to lurk until page 5?
How could any of my votes have been serious so far?

I voted Arugula to get a reaction. I didn't get one and not seeing anything to latch onto, I'm saving him for later.
I doubt Psyche's ability to predict how he'll post in the future, but I don't see his strategy to sit back and avoid the game as a town one.
Are you saying scum can't be among any of the seven players who have posted so far?

I doubt psyche was advocating any action like that. It was a joke.
What out of what I have said would suggest that I don't think scum could have posted already?
In terms of reaction testing, then yes, my second vote was 'serious', though reaction votes aren't exactly serious votes.

No one, from my knowledge.
4. Favourite setup?
5. Favourite movie?

I have reason to believe Psyche will lurk as long as he can and will gladly hide behind the joke cover you've provided him.
You don't think it's possible to be voting seriously at this point, which would suggest you don't think it's possible to be scumhunting seriously and otherwise poking and prodding other players to figure out their alignment. Maybe that's down to different opinions of the word "serious," but I doubt you would say reaction voting and other alignmenthunting is taking the game lightly.

Giitah is also fairly obv. town methinks.
Dick and Tech are playing in the pool but are still trying to prove they should be allowed in.

You're able to figure out Giitah's alignment after one post, but not others after several posts?

That makes no sense. If Psyche was actually lurking, I would call him out on it. Me saying 'I don't think he was suggesting he will lurk' in no gives him a license to do so.
And yes, I would say we have differences of opinion on what 'serious' meant. When you voted Arugula, did you actually think he was likely scum?

You seem fairly confident in your reads there. Care to explain?

Yes. Why is that odd to you?
↑TeChNoWC wrote:You seem fairly confident in your reads there. Care to explain?
I'm a confident person so I tend to have confidence in myself and in my reads.

@Thor: Then can you share your thoughts on Gitah and Kcdaspot with us?

by Thor665
@Techno - certainly;
Giitah had a very stream of consciousness post, unless we presume it was a double blind fakeout what we're seeing is an open expression of suspecting someone and then changing of his mind. Scum would, on average, tend to try to tidy things up as it where. Make the vote on Kcad seem more direct and "honest" feeling. The sloppy method of it while being willing to show the slim thoughts behind it screams honesty to me, and that says obv. town.
Kcdaspot went out of his way to avoid discussing quite relevant things in thread. Even if he's a total dweeb he should have at least decided to comment about the person put to L-2 on Page 1, and then in addition to that he adds in posting about how we need more input,a dn then even slaps on a vote as if he just realized maybe he should be reacting to stuff happening, yet *still* fails to comment on much of anything and immediately leaps on the most blatant derp newb in the vicinity with his vote. I'm calling that pretty excellently obv. scum right there.
Why'd you vote Kcdaspot the scum?
Posted: Tue Jun 26, 2012 6:17 pm
by TeChNoWC
I agree with you that it does make Gitah look towny, however 'stream of consciousness' posting is not uncommon for scum. I remember getting that as a towntell once when scum in mini 1332.
I'm not so sure I follow your reasoning on Kcd however. Who is the derp noob you refer to? Psyche? If so, I wouldn't refer to Psyche as a derb noob, but I am unaware how kcd might interpret his play I guess.
And I am guessing the 'dweeb' you referred to is Arugula. I also chose not to comment on this. Does that make me scum?
I voted Kcd, and quoted his post, to make it look like I was insinuating I thought he was scummy. He was quite vocal at the time and I thought he would react to it, and maybe I could gain something from the following interaction. However, he didn't bite.
