Well, "long time no see..." kind of implied it. Though this joke is sort of dragging.

Long time no see to a few of you indeed!
I have seen you on the boards recently, or so I thought, nonetheless the confusion for me is overbearing right now.

I just have some things that I have to think about in regards to this game is all.

My point was more that the placement of that statement after the vote implied that it applied to me. Though I admit this is sort of silly for us to be arguing over. :)

Back on the point of the game, I'm wondering why STD isn't posting anything more than votes and smiley faces. I'll drop ten bucks and a gallon of bodily plasma that he's got a posting restriction.

...Liable to be paid sometime in the next 1000 years, of course.

Is GreenLiquid on vacation? If not, then you already know who I want to bandwagon.

I'm pretty sure he's around, though he might not know the game's started. He's the one you want to bandwagon? Why? And if so, why haven't you voted?

You can say that he doesn't know the game has started, but you could also say he does know and isn't posting. If we ignore all the reason why or why not he isn't here, all we have is that he isn't here. Not being here in a mafia game is a sign of suspicion (or replacement). Since it's pretty much day one, we can take advantage of someone's illprepared state and bandwagon him/her for some clues. This saves us time from choosing who to random bandwagon for stupid reasons, such as voting people for having an underscore or having an opinion for the matter. Since Green isn't here, his loss.
As for not voting him, I'd rather not vote on someone who's on vacation.

He's posted in other threads since this game has opened, including today. He's definitely not on vacation. Though that doesn't change the fact that I find your argument bizarre at best.

@STD: If you have a posting restriction, post a  smiley if it's allowed.

That proves my bizarre argument. He isn't on vacation so we can take advantage of his absent state and 'randomly' select him to bandwagon. When he comes up, we might already have enough clues to target a different person. :D
vote GreenLiquid

@Bifrost, I was kidding about the underscore thing. I think adding a smiley would have been better. One more thing, STD can put smiley's on, his previous posts prove it. So, Let's see that smile  , or else!

for going with the lynch bait. And honestly, you could at least have done the honourable thing and requested a prod. You can't seriously consider someone to be lurking when the game is less than two days old, started on a weekend, and the person hasn't posted at all. If he'd random voted and then disappeared for 5 days while posting elsewhere,
that's
lurking.

Explanation: we randomly select a person who isn't here to bandwagon. Usually if we get someone who isn't here and he/she comes up, they will have a different view that isn't influenced by anthing in the game. I've noticed that replacements often are able to pick up certain tidbits the regular players don't pick up themselves. If we manage to prolong the squabbling for a few pages until he/she comes out, we can have an opinion that might help.
Considering that my approach was bizarre, you can't seriosuly regard me as scum. Either that or I'm just a stupid scum.

So your solution is to generate commentary by trying to lynch the person you expect to comment? That's pretty counterproductive.

How many times has a random bandwagon actually ended up as a lynch? Pretending to kill someone who I want commentary from generates more commentary.

Actually, that does happen quite a bit. Not terribly common, but I've read plenty of games and saw it happen it's fair share of times.

Whee, I was right! I feel special! Now...

I already have a guess who STD is, and it sort of makes sense. Doesn't lend itself to, or stray away from, being mafia, and I can't begin to think of what kind of abilities it would have.

I think I'm going to
FOS: Chaotic_Diablo
and hold back on voting him. He's made a stupid reasoning for voting GreenLiquid, he's also not rescinded that vote, and he has posted since Green has been around. You'd think a lurker vote would be revoked after the guy stops lurking.

@Nai: I'm with you as in having an idea of who STD probably is, but I'm not sure if what you're thinking is the same as what I'm thinking.

As for chaotic_diablo, the many mentions of "scum" and "can't seriously regard me as scum" just doesn't look right. While I'm with him on the "random bandwagoning doesn't always lead to a lynch" stuff, his strange voting and not unvoting after green_liquid appears) I'll
FOS: chaotic_diablo
before voting and see what this develops into.
