I got fourth. I KNEW I was getting around fourth. You think I'm not serious?
Ask the 12 people who didn't take 1. It's super risky. Scum have a lot smaller a risk in doing it.

Basically, now that I think more (I should really do my thinking before the first post dangit), I'm not saying town don't do it I'm saying scum do it.
There's 2 people who took 1. One of them is probably town.

Am I allowed to quote what I sent to the moderator here?
Because I picked 1 to deny any scum who thought they were being clever. I figured the risk of scum getting first pick is too great.
Serious vote then? If so, what are the reasons you want Belisarius lynched?
And what would you have concluded from more extra votes in the RVS?
Facetious vote. Also I wanted to see if anyone would react to a second vote on someone.
In post 31, Stryker wrote:Wouldn't that be against the spirit of the game, quoting private pm's? There is not much point discussing why someone chose 1 over another numbers imo
Excuse me? Discussing the game mechanics = content. What else could we discuss at this stage? You clearly have an opinion on it. Why do you want to change subjects?

EBWOP: (Something went wrong in the quote)
YTWC: "And what would you have concluded from more extra votes in the RVS?"?
Elaborate. Risky for scum, or risky for everyone? Because I frankly don't see any risk there for town. It is guaranteed that there will be VTs in this game, what's wrong with being one?

Siveure's reasoning is irrelevant to me, but for reason it's perhaps reading as a town tell on him.

Everyone knows which number everyone picked so your PM to the mod is irrelevant and unncessary, if you want to justify your number pick you can do so here. I'm digging up this "at least 1 scum picked 1" theory, but what makes you think scum didn't start out with 2 instead of 1?, 1 is a pretty risky pick for them.

It's a big payoff though, which I wanted to prevent.
I'd argue that it's riskier for scum to pick #1. It draws attention to them, and if they get a double then that's more of a loss because of the smaller team size.

Mind rephrasing that?

The obvious argument being "more power roles for Town is better for Town".

Hey, belisarius has a point. I think town are likely to act in their own interests in the draft, without regard for the overall shape of the draft, (Ik I did). If you look at things from the perspective of being good for ALL the town then it's way less risky for town to go for 1.
And nobody has ever gone after the people who picked 1 in previous pyp games for picking 1 and it's WIFOM. Drawing attention isn't a good reason.
Anyway, i like ytwc's response, and not stryker's so UNVOTE: your trouble's will cease VOTE: stryker

Random other trends I noticed in PyP games.
The highest number ends up as the 4th number (although this one was sheer luck in one case as it only 2 unique and only 2 pairs lol)
The number 4 is always doubled up, and often last. (You guys suck.)
Since it was obviously a test fishing for reactions, what would you have concluded from anyone agreeing with you and voting Bel? Would you have a better picture of that person's alignment?

If someone had questioned me with regards to a second vote on someone, I would have called them out for stalling the game at RVS. If someone had joined the wagon, I would have asked them why, though I would have thought it a town move if their motive wasn't stinky stinky scumbutt. But now that opportunity has gone, so... hmm.
Is your vote on me still RVS or do you have a reason? It seems real votes have begun to come into play - thankfully, quickly.

My vote on you is RVS. But the content that followed is indeed interesting which gives me a slight town read on Siveure for initiating it and a slight scum read on Stryker because he somewhat didn't want to continue the discussion and didn't want (and still doesn't?) be involved in the RVS with putting down a vote.
I don't really have an opinion about picking certain numbers. Siveure reviewed older games and gathered some interestings statistics but I don't see 1 as a scummy choice by itself.
