Like I said, it's a weak scumtell. I'm not rushing a bandwagon. I never said I want to lynch Lowell, but it's page one and we don't have much to go on, so I think a weak scumtell is better than nothing. Believe me, CD, I'm not trying to rush anything; It's still seven to lynch.
At least this has generated discussion, so Lowell got his wish.

Hm. I was joking, because I thought you were.
So paranoid this early in the game? That's almost scummy to me. Please note I didn't vote you, I FoS'ed you, which was still a joke. If you don't think I didn't read the opening posts and know who's game I signed up for, then you must think I'm stupid, or just be trying to hand over a crap vote to me.
But! Upon rereading your post I see you didn't unvote, so I'll accept it as just more fun.

You placed the third vote on page one supported by weak reasoning, so that could mean you want a bandwagon to happen quickly. It's probably not true, but I'm also working with a weak scumtell.Sarcastro wrote:Like I said, it's a weak scumtell. I'm not rushing a bandwagon. scumtell + BS = discussion
Yes, we essentially have a discussion.

I really don't buy into any of the suspicions expressed so far. I see nothing wrong with Lowell trying to encourage discussion early in day one. I don't think there's anything wrong with a bandwagon of three with seven to lynch. I don't see anything wrong with Frozen's sarcastic vote, though I do wonder how Atticus missed the sarcasm.
dot dot dot
I didn't miss the sarcasm, as I thought I had made abundantly clear, and I thought I had also made it crystal that I was joking because I thought he was, he made it clear that he wasn't, and because viper apparently counted his vote on me,(which he didn't unvote before placing) he probably meant it, seeing as he hasn't unvoted it.
I don't see how you can make the same mistake after posting my last post, or maybe you just didn't read it in your eagerness to jump on me.

Right now, I'm not getting scummy vibes off Lowell. I'm getting newbie vibes. Unfortunately, a lot of newbies do scummy things even when they are not.
Since it seems that we are still in the semi-random stages of voting, I won't comment too much on Frozen Atlantic's vote on Atticus. It seems really weird.
It looks like a lot of people have pulled their wands out early to defend themselves. I think we might be gearing up for a wizard's duel.

unvote
. On the assumption that the Potter gang are good guys and Voldemort/A Lestrange/Etc (Snape or Malfoy) are baddies, can anyone come up with a gamebreaker? Unfortunately, the cast is so big we probably won't get away with a mass claim. Sarcastro gives me bad vibes. He makes a weaksauce bandwagon vote, yells bandwagon at the top of his lungs, thinks voting for someone who hasn't spoken is a "weak scumtell", then makes a quick backpedal when caled out on it (with a smiley thrown in to look less threatening).
Sucking at Mafia does not make you a townie.
Well, considering what happened in Book 6, I doubt Snape is scum. But of course, his true motives are unknown and it could easily go either way.
So, I for one am not giving a Snape claim a free ride if it's uncountered, but I tend to think it is a good guy role.
Gamebreaker is something I know I couldn't think up.

It wasn't crap, CTD. It was
Honestly, I find it weird people are making such a big deal out of this. I regret saying "Bandwagon!" now, because apparently it wasn't apparent that I was being light-hearted. Guess what: a third vote (especially when the first one was a random vote), isn't rushing a lynch. So I really don't get it: Atticus voted Lowell, too, for what I believe are the same reasons, so apparently I am suspicious only because I was perceived as starting a bandwagon.
FA, you've totally misconstrued my actions. I suggest you go back and read my post again. And CTD, you're bandwagoning me right now for no good reason at all.

, and I voted for a weak reason, because I felt it was more useful than a completely random vote. And what exactly is wrong with a tiny bandwagon? If people had suddenly starting jumping on it, I would have been far more suspicious of them than I was of Lowell in the first place.Honestly, I find it weird people are making such a big deal out of this. No need to get so worked up over it, Sarcastro.
Lowell placed a vote for trivial reasons, you placed a vote on him for equally trivial reasons and now I did the same to you. It's all been really trivial so far. Just for the record, starting a bandwagon is not necessarily a bad thing, jumping on the wrong bandwagon is.
Now that that's been settled, I'm actually going to

Fair enough, CTD. I'm just a bit frustrated because I feel like people are willing to completely ignore a minor psychological scumtell (in my opinion), while totally overvaluing my "bandwagon" vote as a scumtell (again, in my opinion).

I notice how dramatically CrashText backs up fast and acts like, "jeez, don't flip out over it," after Sarcastro retaliates to the vote. It just makes me curious.
Hmmm, Maverick hasn't posted yet, and Bogre only twice, with things of no value. I know it's still early in the game, but I'm always wondering about lurkers.

Crash, you say that starting a bandwagon is okay as long as you don't jump on the wrong one. Why do you think Sarcastro was on the wrong wagaon? Do you think he started it because he said "bandwagon"?
Frozen Atlantic, I think it is too early to break the game. There are a LOT of characters. Also, what in the world did your last post mean? You aren't voting for anyone right now.

Kristocker - There HAVE been games broken on D1. And I'm fairly sure that Mr. Potter is a good guy in this game. But you're right - short of lynching the Neville's and Parvati's of the world, there are too many good guy claims to make that work.
As far as my last post, you're right, I did make a mistake.

IMO, you wouldn't have placed the third vote for a tiny bandwagon unless you expected it to become bigger. Otherwise you just wanted to have a vote on someone for 'comfort'. Alot of people just want their vote out there for no apparent reason. If that's the case, then your reason is indeed crap, though it's not necessarily scummy.Sarcastro wrote:It wasn't crap, CTD.
