Don't dodge the question.
And, no, you wouldn't lie about it regardless of alignment.

I'm not dodging the question. I'm wondering why the question is relevant to the game in the first place. And yes, I would lie about it if I was scum and it made me look better or put me in a better position in the game. That's pretty obvious in my eyes.
So yeah, explain to me why you want to know it. If i'd tell you the truth about it, you'd still have to trust my words, who could be both from a townie or scum. So yeah, i'm curious (and no, this no dodging the question. I want to know what's the relevance of knowing).

As scum you will always give it, and as town you will be encouraged to give it, even if it isn't actually your opinion. The second is obiviously not constructive.
The bolded part can be considered the reason for this. Basically, I was putting you in a situation where I thought you would lie as scum and tell the truth as town. Then, if you lied, or showed an attitude I thought dishonest, I would use this to lead to a further attack. If you said something in line with the truth, however, I wouldn't attack. You also seem to be under the assumption that I won't check to see how your style match up with those in games which have ended with you as pro-town.
Not that the question was really that important at all, though.

Actually, I'd say this question does nothing, but lead to some WIFOM, as if you were trying to trap him. = / Some traps are ok, but I think this one is more likely to catch a nervous townie.
If I get this correct you asked him a question that he would use the same answer regardless.
You then would look and see if he was being dishonest?
Based on the honesty of it, you would then make a case...
Of course..... how would you tell he was lying? What kind of attitude would you consider dishonest? I'm not sure how you were trying to go about this, as I am confused.

Alright, I understand (I was expecting this answer though, although I'd like to hear it from you instead of me saying it). The problem with the bolded part is that I actaully haven't finished a game on 'scum so far.If I explain what I'm looking for, then you'll give me it, regardless of whether it was the natural answer. As scum you will always give it, and as town you will be encouraged to give it, even if it isn't actually your opinion. The second is obiviously not constructive.

So, you still want an answer on your question or not?

And TBH, I don't really care anymore. It was such a minor point to begin with that it's actually fairly annoying that it was blown up the way it was. And you know perfectly well that I play a little on the WOTC boards, so saying that you have no completed games on 'scum doesn't really matter to me.
@IH: You do not have it correct.

everything is when we don't fight over the little points that we don't need to fight over? And TBH, I don't really care anymore. @IH: You do not have it correct.
I find it strange that ppl would assume Scope would give a difference answer depending on his alignment. Or at least I did find it strange, until he said he hasn't finished a game here, which would make it pretty hard to check whether he was lying or not. But generally I think if someone asked me a question about my playstyle, I would answer honestly regardless of alignment. I did not particularly see the question as a trap.

2) I wouldn't be able to tell if he was lying. This is page 2, what do you expect? If it could get us on the right path, then go for it though. It didn't. Now we just move on and find something else.

Hmm. The Primate/Scope discussion didn't do much for me either way.
I actually would like the answer, even though your previous posts seem to answer it well enough. It would have been more than possible, however, for you to have responded along the lines of:KScope wrote:So, you still want an answer on your question or not?
And of course, "aggressiveness" is still debatable (I wouldn't consider changing a random vote on Page One of the game overly 'aggressive', for example). I disagree that 'we would know the answer either way', in other words.Hypothetical KScope Response wrote:I am actually more aggressive as scum, but I decided to change up my playstyle for this game.
"Logic? I call that flapdoodle."
I’m not picking anything up on Primate or KaleiÐoscøpe either. I don’t think that his previous posts answer the question well enough, however, and would appreciate a straight answer (though I agree that the value of such an answer is questionable).
Also, a Primate wagon has seemingly silently developed. Is there any reason for its existence?

I disagree that 'we would know the answer either way', in other words.[/quote]To be honest (oooh, here we go ), I'm usually a player who's activity and agressiveness switches depending on my mood. As both town and scum, i'd like to take risks which sometimes do not turn out for my own team, but sometimes make me win some games. The reason I thought the answer was expectable for him is because I knew he's been on the WOTC-boards, thus he could check out himself easily instead of asking me.

I agree 100% about the answer being the same regardless of alignment. Which is why I said the same thing earlier =). If I was scum and someone asked me my tendencies I would answer honestly because they can just go and look up my past games.Patrick wrote:I find it strange that ppl would assume Scope would give a difference answer depending on his alignment.
