Here's a question: Is anyone here a vanilla townie? This is a theme game, and I want to know how wacky it is.

Oh, and if anyone here is a vanilla scum, they can report that too :P.

I don't want a mass RC--I just want to know whether at least 1 person is a vanilla townie. I am not.

As a townie, you shouldn't be saying that you're a power role, since you're just giving the scum a great target. Of course, you could always be scum fishing for information; either way, asking for claims is a scummy first day move.

Well thank you for this information Khelvaster, I think we're now going out of the random voting phase soon. If you're right in saying you're no townie, and if you're
wrong
in saying there are no townies, theres a high chance you're scum. So this will only be in your benefit if these 2 statements are both true or both false.

Unvote

WOW. Page 2 and you want to know that kind of information?

Agreed with Lawrencelot, time to get some scum hunting started and you seem a likely candidate.

Unvote, Vote: Khevlaster

It takes more than pretty words to put pressure on somebody who's acting in a scummy way. Put your money where your mouth is and throw a few votes out there. This game
definitely
needs more wagon.

We're on page 2, why in such a rush to get a wagon started on somebody?

Because wagons get reactions which get information. People don't get pressured by people saying "well, I sort of might vote for you maybe later", they get pressured by votes. All games need to start of with a few wagons to get discussion started. A wagon and the reactions to it (not just by the person being wagonned, but the other players too) is absolutely
chock-a-block
full of useful information, especially when referred back to in later days.

I don't believe in waiting around and only wagonning toward the end of the day when you think you've found scum because if you do that then the wagon at the end produces less information and is also
based on
less information, meaning a greater chance of mislynch.

Day One wagons are not a bad thing.

We just got out of the random voting stage, I'd rather hear from everyone before I start pressuring anyone. If was to pressure anyone right now it'd be Nekka-Lucifer followed by Khevlaster.

Woot. We get lots of places without bangwagons. In my experiance, only one bandwagon lead somewhere. It lead to someone mis -1ing and getting lynched for it. He was a townie and that was 2 dead with NO information. Wagons are bad for Day 1.

We don't wait around. We get conversation going. There's a mis post. We pressure for that mistake and find out what they meant. If it's not liable, we will end up roleclaiming/nameclaiming then possibly a lynch. This is how its been in my experiance. We don't say
"well, I sort of might vote for you maybe later"
That's not it at all. We read up on peoples behaviour and see if it's worth going to the next stage. If they look scummy but not enough that they need to worry about it so much, they put a FoS.
I can see you've been with MS for over a year now, but it's not the way to go. You don't pressure on no basis. If you have a basis on which you are voting, please note it down in AT LEAST a sentence or two.

As for my 'random vote = not for me' thing. Explanation possbily round page 4 ish. (I stretch the word ish)

Unvote; Vote Khelvaster
. Horrible plan. Also, bandwagons lead to discussions, not always lynching. I don't think anyone is advocating a Khel lynch just yet.

Also, I only vote for lurkers if they're lurking in plain sight. If they're actually inactive, prods and replacement are much better answers.

Unvote, Vote Khelvaster

This puts him at L-3, I believe.
The reason why I think you're scummy....your 2nd post. You forgot to mention you wanted to know who the scum were, so either since you already know or you're simply nosy, which makes me not believe you. Pretty sure no one wants to tell their role on pg 2. Please defend yourself before the wagon is full. :x

To be honest, I think that's unlikely to be useful particularly since action at the beginning of the game is not necessarily indicative of activity that will come later on...

I like the random voting phase as it immediately opens the door for wagons. Nobody reacts in any telling way to being on the receiving end of a random vote, but people
do
react to having a few votes on them.

Also, other people react to a wagon, either by adding to it or refusing to add to it. And if the scum are stupid enough to pile on the end and quicklynch then it was worth sacrificing that townie to out the three scum, so even that shouldn't be too much of a worry on Day One.

Wtf--Cavane, Streeflo, GIVE SOME DECENT REASONS FOR VOTING ME!

That said,
Vote: Streeflo
. Joking around about randomly BWing people and then voting using random BW as an excuse is not good.

Also, I am just asking for one vanilla townie to claim, if there is in fact a vanilla townie. If nobody is vanilla townie, as I suspect, then a mass RC ought to let us synch abilities and avoid redundancies (don't have the vig kill the cop, for instance.) To those who say this is a bad idea: Why is it so bad?

Well, from the results, I'm guessing everyone has a special role...
