I really like BlackVoid's post 137.

It looks like a really fleshed out thought process coming from town imo.

Fwiw I'm actually pretty fine w vote parking on a scummy slot that isn't getting momentum early in a game day. The key is whether the push itself is righteous imo; you gotta see if it's just getting a vote in a cushy out of the way place or if it's a real read.

I think another thing is if you had 2 scum reads however one scum read was much stronger than the other however the weaker read is getting voted by people it'd be alright to vote for the stronger read then.

Thing is if both your scum reads are at the same strength it makes more sense to put another vote for added pressure. One can always vote for the one scum read. Then in another post dedicate that post to go after the other scum read.

I suppose I'm more of a wordsy scum-hunter than a voting pressure scum-hunter. Like I'm generally more inclined to push people with words (asking questions, building cases, etc) than a "voting=pressure=scum-hunting by itself" sort of thing. Of course this sometimes makes me a bit more conservative with voting, for both good and ill.

So what are you guys thinking?

Requoting for truth...
Spoiler:
If things are going badly for a town as they move into d3, d4, d5 there is more and more 'sludge' in thread - townies posting garbage, getting into fights, confirmation bias written large etc etc. The mafia have all sorts of camoflage to mask their insincerity. So you go back to d1 and you read it again through the lens of all that has happened since...

PP's d1 hammer was INCREDIBLY anti town. Regardless of his alignment, the lack of thoughtful scrutiny on him is poor play.

I look around at the board, and I'm not sure there's a single strongly substantiated read in play. It's an overall pro scum environment IMO.

Hi there!

The loss of a decent Day one has really hurt town. I can't see us winning this one.

I'm guessing it's BlackVoid with either Accountant or Icy. Although Penguin's play is making me doubt my read there. Still reading the other two as town.

Also BV needs to understand that having time to make a couple of quick posts in a game I'm modding is not the same as having time to read and post in a game I'm playing. I expected him to respond to my post, not just hammer.

Well bv only needs to understand that if he's town ;), 2/6 odds he doesn't need to know it :P

I will say I'm enjoying night chat right now, scum team doing good work to think through how they can take the win home.

Looks like PenguinPower will be joining us soon, barring a last second change. Tracker will once again see a target go nowhere (n1 tracker tracked huntress nowhere, but of course that's not actually an innocent...)

One thing that may make town feel better is that BP setups seem to be the most scum sided of the matrix6 setups. IMO the best setups to run are jk only and tracker/doc. Jk/bp/rb pretty decent too. Don't really love running the others though. Amusingly this is now 2/2 times I ran matrix6 (first was offsite) where I randed bp/tracker. The first time also had the trolliest flip I've ever done as a mod
http://www.mafiauniverse.com/forums/thr ... post559380
Although given that he somehow managed to turn the d1 lynch away from scum onto himself, I think he kind of did deserve the sarcastic jester flip.

So, first question that I would have asked if I was still alive...WTF didn't you claim Huntress?

Second...statement. Yeah...I botched it with a derphammer. Can't believe I was that guy.

It's Accountant and Icy.

Accountant vs huntress just swamped day two over anything else. Few other topics were really dealt with in a meaningful way (though icys wagon rise and fall was an exception), and a bunch of slots haven't really been pushed or forced to demonstrate their alignment. Tough for town to win when that happens.

If Icy is scum, he's doing a much better job than Accountant.

One thing I will say is that a relatively careful tracking of vote counts and vote movement should make one slot not currently getting pressure VERY suspect. Like, just tracking votes and ignoring reasons, votes alone make one slot (IMO) look a bit ugly. No comment on if it's ugly town or scum, but there's someone whose votes should be getting a good deal more scrutiny than they'd been getting.

Ah..now I've got it. Damn....this loss is on me.

Who do you think it is?

Damn...it's either Accountant and BV or Accountant and Shadow...I just can't see shadow.

What I don't get is why I was killed. I would be an easy mislynch, unless they were afraid I was going to tunnel scum and get people to believe me.

Huh...unless Accountant isn't scum. No. I can't believe that.

Sleep now. I need to rethink.

They thought you were tracker. Specifically
I'm reading Penguin's ISO and I think you might be right.

In post 227, Accountant wrote:No - we don't want the scum killing investigatives and preventing them from bringing their investigations and info to the table the next day. Plus, if we lynch Huntress, it won't be LyLo.
How do you know we're in a setup with investigatives?
In post 231, PenguinPower wrote:
In post 230, Accountant wrote:It's just not optimal to massclaim when we can just lynch huntress and avert lylo in the first place
No. I get that. It's just that now you and Shadow have both commented pretty specifically on our setup. It's off-putting.

I also found these little tidbits:
In post 211, PenguinPower wrote:
In post 207, Shadowlancerx wrote:is it possible hunt is a roleblocker
Why do you think this?
In post 213, PenguinPower wrote:
In post 212, Shadowlancerx wrote:Because Scarlet's move makes no sense unless there is some gain, and the setup is as of yet unknown to me.
But, why that specific role?
Only the tracker knows that there is no roleblocker so the skepticism of a roleblocker existing could point to a tracker trying to hunt for potential scum trying to fake-claim PRs.

Not wanting to discuss reads in twilight could be a sign that he didn't want to give away who he intended to track.

So basically I agree. Penguin is probably the tracker. We should be killing Penguin and it's best if you perform the kill.

I'm going to go over [redacted] posts to see if they crumbed anything just to make sure. Since [redacted], I'm guessing it's not him.

Would have been great - as would claiming BP at L-1 (just saying) - if that had happened N1.

Always wanted to be a N1 kill.

That was a logical conclusion.
