  1. Is it possible your game has any of the following: cults, mid-game alignment changes, moderator lies that cannot be reasonably anticipated (for example, Godfather, Tailor, Miller, Ninja, and mechanics like that are generally fine. Telling someone they are a reflexive doctor when they're actually a PGO is not), secret win conditions, un-divulged non-randomness in player role/alignment generation, direct moderator influence during the game? (Yes/No)
    - I would argue the answer is no, but this is a upick where you pick the name of a laser tag suit, and the ones that are scum are predetermined, and some people might argue that that's kind of bastard
Role names are alignment indicative. It is possible people who wanted to be scum picked the scummiest names and vice versa

I suggest mass claim of namepicks

Do we know the mechanics of this game? I'm always worried when someone suggests a name claim in a theme.

I'm very fucking upset that the flavor seemingly starts at Chapter 2

Changer iirc it's a closed setup picked from open large setups so he didn't have to fuss with balancing a second game

Setup is Lover 15 from Open Game Discussion.

Mafia is Day 1 a 5-lover set.
Day 2 they are a 2-lover pair and a 3-lover set, that they decided upon among themselves after day 1 interactions. DO NOT OUT ASSOCIATIVE TELLS OR READS YOU HAVE. Outting those helps scum. Leaving them private therefore hurts scum which helps town by contrast.

@Jiffy, my exact reaction "WTF Where is chapter 1?".

Re: Nameclaims.

This game is "possibly classed bastard" because of the fact that the role names were pre-determined as scum/town names before the game started. That is (part of) why we had to pick 3 names apiece, so he could ensure 5 scum names were picked and in-use (the other part is so if 2 people picked same name, it allowed for deconfliction).

Since there is no mechanical advantage or disadvantage to scum knowing who picked which names, I think we should do it, because the two LIKELIEST scenarios from my POV in this game are A: zz picked the names based off of real-life "scum" (Read: who was on the other team against him), or based of which lasertag names sounded scummiest.

As I am unsure he remembers the names of all of his opponents, I am leaning towards the second scenario being the most likely behind the choice of scum names.

Therefore, I suggest namepick claims as a viable strategy to gain info.

I had similar motivations, as I suspect jiffy and vonflare do as well, so I personally wouldn't hold your namepicks against you, and I would defend you should others. For everyone else in the game (11 other people), I feel this is a decent scumhunting tool.

oh yeah sorry for the confusion. the setup is 15 Love. this was mentioned in the post I made to the large theme queue but not in the actual signup thread since, like, I wasn't actually planning on running a game when I made that thread

also, the flavor is the
The Gospel of Toronto, As I Recall It
, a holy text that covers all of Toronto Meet! at the end of Chapter 1, the Discord is made, and there wasn't any discussion of laser tag until the discord got made!
