It’s just a gimmick for the moderator to add some flair to their game. It doesn’t really have any relevant importance to us except as a source of entertainment.

That's why it's like best case. Odds are they're newbie and town-told, but it'd be cool if they were like some classically trained actor who wrote a plausible script from the get go.
