I'm for any plan where the league winner is decided before Week 18. Banking an entire season on a total crapshoot week is supremely frustrating.

but I think that like we play until week 14 or 15 and playoffs will be either weeks 15, 16, 17 for a 3 week playoff or 16+17 for 2.

my suggestion for a 10 team 2 division league might be something like where we all kinda pair off into "rivals" and play our rival 4 times, then the rest of our division twice each for another 6 games, and then out of division once each for another 5 games and playoffs are 16/17.

I know that with an odd # in the division that 1 from each division would have 2 pair off so idk if it mathematically works out. Maybe in a no division something like this may work.

Could just do three against a “rival” from the opposite division as well.

I'd rather play an odd out of division game than have a bye or feel like Im playing the same person every other week

I was just saying that I'm not good at figuring out a new schedule but sure man if the math works out then I see no issue with that one.

no, but I thought ppl might like to keep the 3 ones that we normally have in L1 for tradition. Also, could someone remind me of the L1 standings.

you know what? a 3 division 12 player league with 3-week playoffs (15, 16, 17) works very nicely. We could do no divisions and just play 3 teams an extra time but im gonna sheep poker and agree with that one.

I like d3s proposal for a 10 league. play out of division twice for 10 games and then your division once for 4 games thus giving us 14 weeks of regular season play then 3 weeks of playoff in weeks 15, 16 and 17

The only issue I see with that is 6 of 10 making the playoffs. That's more than half the league. So we are playing basketball? I feel like 1/2 should be max since real life almost has that since its 14 instead of 12 nfl teams now. Though I should not be in a 10 team league so my opinion probably not matter much

If a team with a losing record ever wins a Superbowl in real life, they may still be considered a laughing stock.

I think we’ve always been doing that in 10-team leagues though.

naw, its always been 4 but we did 6 last year b/c some people wanted to do six.

i mean right now "no divisions in a 10 team league and only 4 go to the playoffs" is winning right now so we'd have to do something like

everyone plays each other once then you get 6 randon games and playoffs are 16 and 17

I think League 2 was always divisions with 10 people before. So I agree with D3f3nder.

Something else we could add to the ballot is having waiver priority based on standings. I do not personally want it, but there are team owners that have voiced a desire for it in years past so having a vote on that to gauge the true interest level the league has in it could be good.

I suppose we could just have it go to next year since box at end is for that. In general I would personally vote to keep things same. I do not want it either and would prefer no change to our league given you statement in panzer's thread is true about tanking. But I figure seeing what people actually think should not cause harm. Not like we have to do every change at once. Listen to people views and try most popular slight changes before giving big less popular things a try.

Its also possible I am misremembering exactly how many people were interested in a standings priority system at all. If there's like 5 owners out of the current 19 owners voting for it and everyone else voting against it, that's not a majority. So no change would ever occur

By the way is there a way we can see the actual vote or pie chart on the responses currently? It may be late or early pending what you consider 4am and I can't find it at the moment
