I guess the variant you want would be this
Town 2-Shot Vigilante, Compulsive Roaming Fruit Vendor You are a Town 2-Shot Vigilante, Compulsive Roaming Fruit Vendor
Each day you may talk in the game thread and vote on who to eliminate.
Twice during the game you may visit a player at night to shoot them. Assuming no interference, they will die.
If you don't shoot you must
visit a player you have never previously visited with this ability to give them fruit. Assuming no interference, they will be informed "You have received fruit." at the end of the night. You can still shoot people you have given fruit to.
If you fail to submit a night action you will visit the first valid target from randomised list of players below and give them fruit.
You win when all threats to the town are dead, and at least 1 town aligned player is alive.

I don't know how compulsivity on multiple roles is supposed to work exactly, but this one might be nonnormal. Usually compulsive fruit vendor on a mafia precludes the mafia kill, so I think multiple town roles is probably supposed to work the same way.
I just think it seems nonneutral to resolve no-submission towards a certain action on the compulsive-vig + compulsive fruit vendor. I think a lack of submission should flip a coin for which role is used and also flip a coin for the target, rather than picking one role to have primacy over the other as a moderator.

The intent was to give the follower a result on nights the vig doesn't shoot. I intentionally wasn't neutral to reduce swing on the chance a night action wasn't submitted, but I could see how there might not be a normal resolution to this idea.
Does it change the balance enough to need further changes if it's just a 2-shot vig? Maybe ungating the follower? The fruit vendor aspect was intended to be slightly +mafia but I'm not sure how much of an effect it actually has

Maybe give the vig a Finder ability for a traditionally scummy role the mafia doesn't have? An ability they'll want to use on the nights they don't shoot that is actually zero utility, or slightly negative utility by the implication of that role existing?
